"Haha." The laugh that came from Jael's lips resounded all through the space around him.

He looked ragged and unkempt but he didn't care. He was willing to give these hypocrites that ambushed him a bitter fight.

Tiny stars that was as small as a niddle tip glowed and dimmed around them. Scenes of battle remained strewn across the cosmos. Incomplete body parts floated aimlessly.

Fifteen men and women kept Jael in a tight circle. Their weapons was poised to attack.

"You fiend! Surrender and you get to keep a whole corpse." An old man with white hair on his head and lower jaw said righteously and Jael laughed again.

"I should obediently clean my neck so you can cut it? Why don't you show me how it is done?" Jael returned the words back to the old man.

He didn't know why humans could be so greedy and evil. He was on his own, why did they provoke him?

"You think you can use me and my powers as a sacrifice to save Quone? You guys have vivid imaginations." Jael said as his nails grew rapidly and his body bulked up.

His size quadrupled.

He had less than 1/10th of his power but he would still give these people a good fight if he could.

"I told you he wouldn't listen." A beautiful woman clad in a purple dress said to the old man.

A black shadow leapt from the void of space to attack Jael's neck.

Jael's sixth sense began giving off warning signs and Jael tilted his head a little to the left while his right hand that had transformed into a sharp claws clutched the shadow.

His nails sunk into the creature and the creature let out a deafening screech that could upset eardrums.

Jael tore the shadow apart as space trembled beneath his claws. The beautiful woman in purple apparel used the chance to send several floating lotuses towards Jael.

Swords, axes and other weapons kept cornering Jael so even as he dodged the lotuses, he couldn't avoid them all.

Two lotuses landed on his arm and finger but Jael's expression didn't change. His mouth was still hooked in a half smile that looked extremely sarcastic.

The areas the purple lotuses touched withered away to leave gleaming bones underneath.

"You guys disgust me." After dropping these words, the exposed bone on his fingers broke off and grew into a bone sword that gave off fierce vibes.

As he made to grab the sword, numerous weapons went for his vital parts with chilling accuracy.

Jael growled and a barely visible aura ring went outward from his body in a circular format. The aura ring pushed those encircling him backwards with a huge force.

Jael grabbed the sword as he adjusted his battle stance.

These past few days, he had eliminated those with powers that doesn't do well with close combat but even these people remaining are proving too hard to handle.

He could kill them if he fought with his life and death on the line but he didn't want to die with these vermin. Besides, he can't fight for too long because of his waning strength.

These hypocritical people battled him for more than fifty days in a row. Their ambitions were huge and they were willing to do everything to obtain his powers.

They were sadly mistaken though, he koew this day will come so he had made preparations.

Jael parried a soft sword that was aiming at the pulsing artery at his neck area with ease as he looked towards an empty patch of space.

'It is time.' He said within his mind silently before lunging at the woman that attacked him with the soft sword.

Since he had just stopped her attack, she was in the midst of another and his counterattack caught her unawares.

She dodged while the rest of the people ambushing him rushed to her aid but Jael refused to leave. He was like a haunting ghost.

His feet performed a strange footwork as he remained by the woman's side like her shadow while he parried her sword at intervals.

When Jael found an opening, he struck. His bone sword seemed to come alive and it was like he was wielding another part of his body.

His sword swiped at her neck as his other hand transformed into a burly claw that had red claws glinting off them.

The claw suppressed her struggles before the sword connected with her flesh.

The woman stopped her movements for a moment before her head detached from the rest of her body. An expression of disbelief was present on her face. It was like she didn't believe she could die here.

Jael's heart began to give off a blood red glow that shone through his pale skin.

Jael didn't give his opponents time to come back to their senses as he slashed out at a direction in space.

Space tore into two like curtains in a show.

A round blue ball covered with patches of green came into Jael's sight.

He did not give his pursuers a final glance before he flew into the exposed space that housed the round planet. He turned into a shooting star that headed towards the planet.

The people ambushing him reacted and they wanted to follow him to the space at the other side but the cut he made in space closed rapidly before disappearing like the tear in space had never happened.

After Jael left, the men and women that encircled him maliciously waited. Soon a section in space rippled and a figure came out of the void.

The new arrival was a pretty woman with sun kissed skin. Every part of her seem like a normal human would look except for the third eye on her forehead.

Her third eye remained closed while her two grey pupils glittered with an eerie light.

"I'm sorry for being late." She apologized. Her white robes swished with her every movement as she approached Jael's opponents.

The lady in purple dress smiled sarcastically, "Well, he escaped. I can't see what else you can assist us with."

"Shut up! How can you speak to the sage like that?" An old man sporting white hair scolded before facing the new arrival, "Don't mind her. You took too long though."

The sage nodded, "My location was too far, this is already my fastest speed."

"Sage, we should leave. He is already gone and he has destroyed any way we can track his location. This world has many planets and universes. We can't find him." The old man explained but the sage shook her head.

"I had a vision. Jael is the solution our forefathers prepared from ages past. They knew Quone was going to be destroyed sooner or later when they occupied it. Jael is the only way." The sage said solemnly.

"You should have tried your best to arrive earlier. Maybe you would have been able to realize your vision then." The purple clothed woman chipped in and everybody on the scene gave her a glare. She shut her mouth after speaking.

The sage sighed, "I am going to burn my life force to track his traces. Wherever he goes is where our salvation lies."

A solemn atmosphere descended and the sage made several complicated hand signs that blurred the senses.

Suddenly, her grey pupils phased into red ones before closing while the third eyes on her forehead opened.

In the third eye, a large red pupil lay. If her previous grey pupils made her look calm and without ripples, this sole red pupil screamed demonic.

She continued making the hand signs as her eye took on a deeper shade of red. Her skin began to lose their luster while wrinkles appeared at the corner of her eyes.

"I have gotten his current location. I will leave it in this orb. You guys should make your preparations and then, go find him." The sage spoke through gritted teeth before her aging accelerated.

Her skin withered and her bones decayed till every part of her body turned to dust. A bright pearl floated amidst the dust her body left.

The old man with white hair that had been conversing with the sage grabbed the pearl while giving a deep bow to the dissipating dust surrounding it.

He turned to the rest, "You heard her. Time to set things in order. Let's go."

Meanwhile on his way to the blue planet, Jael scanned the planet's surface for a favorable place to land.

When he found one, he changed his direction and headed down at greater speed. After he broke through earth's atmosphere, intense gravity pulled him down with ferocity.

The shooting star disappeared into an high end mansion.

A pregnant woman was sleeping comfortably on a silky bed with the bed drapes partially obstructing the view of her face.

The shooting star passed through the bed drapes like they didn't exist before merging with the woman.

The only difference from the woman's former appearance is that she looked more rosy and healthy.

The earth didn't know it had welcomed someone powerful. Everywhere was still as normal as it could be.

Jael stood under the hot sun with anticipation. His emotions may seem strange because for the first time, he was joyous to be scalded by the sun rays.

He was here to receive the package his parents left in the bank for his birthday. Their letter had promised that the parting gift they left contained a broken high level awakening ritual array.

He hadn't expected a birthday gift because his parents deaths happened over a year ago when they went into a subdimension in a bid to obtain materials that could be exchanged for money.

They wanted to make money to survive but they had subpar abilities so their deaths didn't surprise people. Only Jael and his grandmother was devastated by their passing.

Jael was a poor student. He had to do part-time jobs to keep he and his grandma barely out of the streets. In this dog eat dog world, only power can get you what you want. Only with power can he protect his grandma, himself and his girlfriend.

This world fiercely bully weaklings.

"Hey, isn't that broke Jael?" A malicious voice sounded.

"It is him. I didn't know he had something precious enough to be kept in the bank." Another one replied.

"You know his parents frequented subdimension zones. They might have picked up a thousand year old bone or something. Haha." A voice mocked.

"Haha. You are completely right. Maybe it is a thousand year old poop." A voice said in jest.

Jael knew this voices were from people further back in the line. They were kids from his school.

He didn't turn around to fight back. Doing so would only incur more ridicule and beatings.

His years of being a victim of bullying taught him that it was better to seem uninteresting to bullies. The pain and suffering would reduce whenever they feel like you aren't worth it.

Besides, it is not he can fight back successfully. They had all awakened their abilities and powers. Even if some of their abilities were mundane or useless, they were still stronger than him. It would be futile to go against them. It would be a job with no profit.

Soon enough, the voices coming from behind him moved on to more interesting topics but Jael didn't eavesdrop.

Jael didn't let their previous words dampen his mood and he calmed the surge of anger that rushed up when they were mocking his parents.

Yesterday was his birthday but he didn't really have time to celebrate it because he had part-time jobs to do to make ends meet. He received his parents' envelope from his grandmother when he visited her in the hospital that evening.

He would have visited the bank yesterday evening but his grandmother didn't allow him to leave because of his safety. So he hurried over this morning instead.

He had a lot of expectations for this awakening ritual. He planned to present himself being an awakened as a surprise gift to his girlfriend. Her birthday is today.

Soon it was his turn to be attended to and Jael strode into the bank. The world has changed and modern technology mixed with powers or magic were the new trend.

Jael filled all the required paperwork, including leaving his soul signature before the package left by his deceased parents was given to him.

Tears pooled in Jael's eyes. He had always been told that men shouldn't cry but right now, Jael disregarded it.

He clutched the package tightly as tears streamed down his cheeks.

Some of the people around recorded him crying and laughing on their phones in amusement but he didn't care.

All that mattered was the ray of hope he felt was shining down on him.
