Chapter 3: Multi Million fiancé.

The phone ringtone could be heard from the room the following morning, “Check your phone!” as the sun peaked in through the window and gave the room a slight sheen. Lena patted Him on the shoulder and murmured, “You have a call.”

“Ugh,” Levi sighed as he reached out to grab his phone from the table next to the bed, but it was too late because the call had already ended. Levi sighed once more as he got out of bed, he looked at the woman next to him, kissed her on the forehead, and said, “Good morning.” He then immediately dialed the number back after the first ring, and the person on the other line answered.

“Good morning, Adams, sorry I missed your call, I was still asleep,” he mumbled as he slid out of bed, with only jogger pants and his bare chest exposed. He went to the bathroom and cleaned his face.

“Oh, don't be concerned; I really need you to meet me today. It is crucial since it is related to the business we established, so I need you to meet me” From the other end of the line, Adams stated, Adams was the closest thing Levi had to a best friend; he was more like his best friend, his trusted best friend who has supported him in his time of need.

Hearing that it had To do with the little business he was trying to establish, a frown spread on his face. “I hope all is well?”

“I just hope so, let's just set a meeting up, or should I come to the villa?” Adams asked.

“No, no, no, I will meet you in Café Rio in the next 30 minutes, you are good with it, right?” Levi questioned, he had a bad feeling

“yes, alright don't worry I will be ready by then, greet Lena for me, see you by then” just like that the call was disconnected, A worried expression was seen all over his face.

“I believe it is too early for you to be worried.” Lena held him from behind, and he sighed; it was never easy for him, life was so harsh on him, and he wasn't ready to deal with more humiliation.

“I know, I'll be leaving soon.” He showered, and dressed up before leaving the Brown's Family Mansion. As he approached the Café, he noticed Adams. He smiled as he stepped into the café; glancing around, he noticed a man putting on a black suit; he walked over to him and sat down after exchanging handshakes.

“How have you been?”

“You know the usual,” Levi responded, Adams chuckled, Adams was Chocolate in skin color, Honey colored eyes, tall and a bit muscular. He was in short Very Good looking.

“Okay, so I have bad news and I don't know how you will take it” Adams said, Levi brows arched.

“Hn, please let me know what the issue is first. I hope it is something we can be able to fix”.

“I am afraid not, Levi, it has crashed, everything has crashed” Adams said as he looked at Levi with pity in his Eyes.

“What do you mean by that?” Levi, who did not want to think about what Adams, said, questioned.

“I am sorry to tell you this Levi but Levi the Business has crashed, I don't know what happened, I can't tell what happened. I myself is trying to understand, but unfortunately, I don't understand it. Mr. Simone, who was interested in investing, just suddenly pulled out all his money, and he is not even picking up my calls” He took a sip of coffee from the coffee cup.

Levi clinched his fist so tightly that his knuckles almost turned white. He felt as though a cold bucket of water had just been splashed in his face. He simply could not believe what he was hearing at all.

“How is that possible? I know how much I invested in this, and all of a sudden, it went down?” He was furious, but he was powerless to stop himself. For months, he had been doing everything he could

do to at least launch a company that he could manage, but when everything suddenly failed, it meant that all the money he had worked so hard to earn had simply vanished, he wasn't taking this well.

“Calm down Levi, I can't tell what happened exactly, but I know that it all started with Mr. Simone” Adams tried to calm him down with his words

“You know I have suffered a lot for this, I don't see a reason for me to be calm here, everything is messed up” he ran his hand through his messy Hair.

“I know, but worrying yourself won't help neither will it make any difference” Adams patted his shoulder, but there was something in Adam's eyes that was strange, like he was trying to mask something.

“Something is wrong somewhere”

“Alright, I have somewhere to go to, I would give you a call if I come up with any way to help you out” Adams said, with a light smile

“Okay, I'll be waiting, thanks, but I have to go now.” Levi sprang to his feet with a zillion thoughts racing through his head. He had already gone through a lot, but starting over again was something he did not want at all. He had been saving for years in order to start his own business, but everything he had worked so hard for had failed. He wanted to express his frustration because it was making him feel angry. Levi hated the way everyone looked at him, and he was ready to give his all Just to prove them wrong, but that looks like a fail with his current situation. He was tired, he felt emotionally and mentally sick, he was poor, a son of a nobody.

Levi was an Italian man, he had dark brown hair, black eyes, well nice bears that suited him, he had a suited body, he was handsome with a well-structured face, a nice squared jaw line.

Adams left the café after saying goodbye and muttered, “How can this loser even have hopes of owning a business, it Is not like he would ever make it big in the business world,” as he got in his car. Adams had a sneer on his face. “A loser is always a loser forever.” The Car sped up and exited.

Levi believed he had a friend who looked out for him, but he was actually all alone.

Levi, who had left the Café, decided to take a little walk to clear his mind, he was on the edge of giving up. Every word of insults they had thrown at him just came running back in his head. He was tired of being tagged a loser, he was fed up with people looking down on him.

After walking for some minutes, he got a message on his phone. Deciding to check the message, he was shocked that it was from his father-in-law.

Raising a brow, he mumbled. “Unexpected” he hardly got messages from his father-in-law, in fact, that was the second time he had messaged him.

Opening the message his eyes darkened, as anger surfaced, looking at the message he was angry as his fist was pulled together 'I told you that you are playing with fire, as long as I live I will make sure nothing you put your hand in would work out but if you divorce Lena I would reconsider. It was fun crashing your little business' that was what the message said.

'I should have known that he had a hand in this' Levi mused inwardly, in the next second, he stopped a cab as he got in, heading to the Brown's mansion.

He has been seen as a Nobody, a weakling all his life, and he has tried his possible best to find at least something to do and get rich but keeps on getting rejected and being told that a Poor nobody with low education can never make it the business world or in any career. Getting to the Mansion, he angrily got down from the Cab and paid the driver before he stormed into the mansion, heading straight to the sitting room, he saw Mr. Brown, Martha, Alex, Alexa.

He faced Mr. brown and said, “What have I ever done to you for you to hate me this way?” His words were full of rage.

Mr. Brown chuckled, as he sipped his drink calmly before he dropped the bottle on the glass table, “How dare you stupid loser raise a voice at my Father?” Alexa questioned irked. Levi glanced at her, but he said nothing to her, as whom he wanted to confront was Mr. Brown.

“I know you hate me, but this has gotten to another Thing.”

“The day you married my daughter was the day you became my worst enemy. How dare you, a son of a nobody, a loser, a fool, dare talk to me in that manner?, aren't you even ashamed of yourself? Look at Other Son-in-laws they are Powerful, Known, rich and famous, but you! You are weak, poor , a nobody who managed to squeeze himself into my family.” Mr. Brown almost yelled as he said this.

Gritting his teeth, Levi was trying to remind himself to stay cool and just be coordinated.

“Well that doesn't mean that you should ruin the business I put my sweat and everything into” he was just so angry at the Moment

“Even though you get a magic spell that would grow that stinking company of yours, it would not grow. Haha! How foolish of you to think that you have a chance in the business world. You belong in the streets, that is where you belong.” Mockery was obvious in his words, “I have told you to divorce my daughter, a useless man like you should not be seen around her, you are a disgrace to this family.” Martha made this clear.

“Shame on you, You are such an ill-mannered looser, have you loosed all your respect? Did no one inform you that if rich men are talking, nobodies like you should remain quiet? Knowing my status, I can not even raise my voice at my soon-to-be father-in-law, but you have the guts” Alex put in, throwing a disgusted looked at Levi.

Levi Turned to Martha, his mother-in-law as he said gently “mother I…” he felt a splash of a cold liquid on his face, she had just poured the entire glass of wine on his face.

“How dare you call me mother? How many times have I told you not to call me that?” she spat out, irked.

“Guards take him away” Levi felt humiliated as he could hear them laugh at him, he was drenched, before the two guards could touch him, a voice said from behind.

“Enough, Father, mother, that's enough” Lena's eyes showed anger

“Oh well, here is she, backing up a bum. Aren't you ashamed? Your so-called husband is nothing compared to my Rich fiancé” Alexa softly patted Alex's shoulder.

“Well concentrate on your multi Million fiancé And leave my husband alone”

Lena grabbed Levi's hand and turned to Mr. Brown.

“I apologize for his behavior, father, but please stay off my marriage”

“Let's go” he said as she dragged him out of the sitting room.

“I am so ashamed of you, Lena. You will surely regret picking this Failure in a human form” Mr. Brown said and they both of them could clearly hear it. Levi got to their room, not saying a word, he removed his wine stained shirt and washed his face. Lena sat at the corner of the bed.

“What was that all about?” she inquired, but Levi just said nothing. When she saw that he was not going to say anything, she decided to ask him, but he just said nothing as he took a seat, his eyes were filled with rage. She could see it, he looked down, the room was filled with a pin drop silence. She sighed as she stood up, and walked over to him, sitting on his Laps

He looked at her, but he hugged her as he said nothing.

“You are the only pillar I have” she hugged him so tightly.

“That's because I am your wife, No matter how anyone sees you, I see you as my husband and that's what matters, this marriage is for better and for worst. I will stick with you” she patted his back gently.

“Thank you, I am trying my best, but it is not working, I am really, really trying, Lena. I don't want to be a loser anymore. I just want to Be great, rich and powerful” his words bore raw emotions, he wanted to make every tongue that talked down on him regret.

“I know you are trying, I appreciate that, I have earned enough money for us to live, I don't care what anyone thinks. You are not a loser. I just want you to know that we are in this together.” hearing those words from her, he felt relieved.

“ You know that my father is a very stingy Man and my mother too, you even know that my Father is a Dangerous man, so please I am begging that you should know the way you talk to him, he won't even blink twice before Killing you, I know what I had to do for him to stop with the death threats you know they think so low of you, so I just want you to be serious here” she stood up from his laps and sat beside him.

“I understand.” he nodded to all she said.

“If I may ask, what was the problem all about?” Curious, Lena Asked.

“You know, the Company I wanted to start up?”

“Yes”

“Adams told me that it has all crashed. Mr. Simone, the major Investor has pulled out all his shares and money, and Your father is behind all of that. I got a message from him and the massage emphasized that he was the one behind it all”

“ I am just so sorry about this, I had no idea that something liked this was going on” she apologized, she knew very well what he had passed through

“ We would get through this together” she took his hand as she tried to calm him down, but he looked as if he would rather not be calmed

“I gave my everything just to build that little business” he said, as he stood up grabbing a black t-shirt he wore it, looking at her, he managed a smile.

“I would be out. I am uncertain If I will be coming back tonight, but I will let you know if I am coming back. I need to meet up with someone”.

“Okay, be careful, and don't let what they say get to you” she placed a kiss on his forehead, he left the room, just like that he left the mansion. It was just too much that even the servants paid him no respect. He was just a gossip Talk in that mansion, leaving the mansion, he needed some time to think and clear his mind.

As soon as he arrived back at his little house where he grew up, he texted Lena to let her know he was coming back soon, but she did not reply. She did not answer the phone when he tried to call her. Worried, he made the decision to return home. He had the uneasy feeling that something unsettling was about to occur as he walked into the second-floor corridor of the Mansion. When he opened his room's door, he could hear weird moaning coming from the bathroom. When he opened the bathroom door, what he discovered made his jaw drop.
