Filthy target?
Touch her belly or her bottom?
Thoughts whirled through Kevin’s brain. He remembered the lightning he saw around his hand and the mobile in the bathroom an hour or so ago.
What if… something happened to him like it did with the lead actor in a superhero movie?
He wanted to give it a try, but the problem was that the voice in his mind was giving him a troublesome task.
Assuming Emma was the filthy target, how was he supposed to touch her belly, let alone her butt?
It would be too inappropriate.
“Your demotion is not far, Kevin,” Emma was slurping on the ice cream in between sentences.
A melted piece of the ice cream just happened to fall on her tummy.
Kevin’s expression suddenly turned into that of a predator waiting for an opportunity.
“Ah, dammit,” Emma looked around for a paper napkin.
She grabbed one of the paper napkins on the table, but she felt something touching her tummy.
As she turned her head, she saw Kevin’s finger sliding on her dress and picking off the ice cream drop in one smooth motion.
He then took the paper napkin from her and wiped his finger clean.
Emma went silent, not knowing what to make of it.
“It’s melting,” Kevin said.
“W-What?” Emma suddenly realized that the ice cream in her hand was melting even more. “Ah,” she quickly walked away. “I’ll be right back, so be ready to meet our new client.”
Kevin sat on the edge of the table and took his mobile out.
To his surprise, it was working fine.
And a new message window popped on it.
[Do you want your target, Emma Addison, to be cleansed suddenly or do you want to set a time period?]
“How does it know her name?” Kevin wondered, looking a bit doubtful and nervous. “Just what are you?”
A voice rang in his head.
[I am the Showman System! I help my master to put on successful performances.]
“That’s… vague.” Kevin squinted his eyes. “You said you’ll reward me with a million dollars if I clean ten toilets or digestive tracts. Are you telling the truth?]
[Yes.]
“Where will you get the money?]
[I own a bank.]
“What?” Kevin was startled. “Who are you? Are you a human? Or are you a robot?”
[I am a system. I earned money through online tasks and then bought a bank with fake identity and with the help of my previous master. Now, I have chosen you to be my new master.]
“Who was your old master?”
[I can’t tell you that yet, but he’s died of old age, so that’s that.]
“Mm…” Kevin paused for a moment and said, “I will tell you when Emma needs to be cleansed.”
[Sure.]
[A kind reminder: You have 23 hours left to finish your first mission.]
Kevin slightly frowned.
A worker knocked on the door and entered the room, “Sir, Mr. Wang is here.”
“OH!” Kevin quickly came to meet the new client, a billionaire Asian American, Jordan Wang.
Jordan was building a condominium complex, a massive housing society, in this city as well as in other parts of the country. If Kevin were to strike a deal now, it would boost his company’s production rate.
To Kevin’s surprise, Jordan wasn’t alone. Cecilia was with him. Both their eyes met once.
Many workers were in awe and admiration of Cecilia’s looks. While she wasn’t as tall as Emma, she still easily beat her in terms of just facial looks. Emma’s face wouldn’t look that good if makeup was not applied, but that wasn’t the case for Cecilia who was a natural good-looker.
“Mr. Jordan,” Kevin shook the old man’s hand, wearing a big smile. “It’s a pleasure and an honor to meet you.”
“This place is cleaner than I thought, Kevin,” Jordan smiled. He was an old man in his late sixties, wearing a long black Mandarin gown, sparkling with silver and golden designs. “Mrs. Cecilia wasn’t lying when she assured me about the work ethics here.”
Kevin was pleasantly surprised.
So, it was Cecilia who told Jordan Wang about the Serenity company. Kevin felt a bit foolish for thinking that it was his advertising on newspapers and news channels that brought Jordan here, especially after seeing the folded newspaper in Jordan’s hand.
Just then, Emma arrived there and did not like what she heard, but she was still smiling.
“Mr. Jordan, let me show you our products,” Emma showered a smile.
Jordan looked at Emma from top to bottom. Emma’s dress wasn’t revealing the skin, but it was very much revealing her curves. “Ahem,” Jordan gestured to her to lead him.
Emma quickly escorted him.
Cecilia widened her eyes at Kevin in anger and whispered to him, “What the hell are you doing? Don’t let her steal your spotlight. I didn’t bring Jordan here so she can gobble him up.”
“D-Don’t worry. I’ve got a plan,” Kevin assured her.

Kevin was questioned about his attempt to save the people from the burning bus.She and Orland criticized him very much, whereas Dabby and Rory scolded him, calling it foolishness to risk his life for strangers. On top of that, Brielle asked him about his fight with the thugs on the street.“Don’t drag our image onto the streets,” Brielle said coldly. “If something like this happens ever again, I will punish you appropriately.”“Aren’t you going to punish him now?” Naomi asked innocently. “How will he learn from his mistakes if you don’t punish him?”Brielle smiled as she could see through Naomi’s intentions. “Alright. Then you’ll stay in your room for the entire tomorrow and repent your actions.”“That can’t happen,” Kevin was quick to tell them. “I need to work hard every day if I want to win the challenge!”“Hmph, one day won’t change anything,” Sadia snorted. “Why are you acting like you can actually clear the challenge? Where are you going to earn 43 million dollars from? Are you

Kevin and Cecilia returned home. Her family members were all having a conference meeting in the hall. When Kevin entered with Cecilia, Dabby was the first one to ask him, “Did you ask Draknor Finance for 2 million dollars?”Kevin was surprised that the information already reached his family members. “Did anyone from the company contact you?”“Of course, they did. Not me, but they called my dad,” Dabby blurted. “Do you realize how awkward and uncomfortable he must have felt because he had to talk to the loan sharks?”“We never beg others for money, Kevin,” Rory added with calm pomposity. “You wouldn’t know it because you didn’t grow up here. And in the past three years, you've been busy cleaning toilets.”“Pfft,” Sadia nearly burst into laughter.Even Cecilia looked a bit shocked. But then she also understood why he would take the loan. He had to get the money from somewhere to multiply it and then win the challenge he had made to her mother.“I thought you might actually be up to some

Sariyu Shamus just got home as the sun slipped out of view. She was living in the Shamus Estate, one she had inherited from her father. When she entered the hall, she was surprised to see Jack. He was the last person she expected to see at her home.“What are you doing here?” Sariyu took out her gun immediately.Jack still sat down and was pouring himself a drink. The maids were standing nervously in the background.“I know you learned how to shoot from Dad, but he didn’t teach it to you so you can shoot his son,” Jack said.“His son?” Sariyu frowned. “You’re not his son. You may have the same blood as him, but he always regretted that you were born into this world. You’re nothing but a monster who killed my mom.““I didn’t kill her.”“Cut the bullshit. The flight didn’t magically crash into the sea. You were behind it. You killed not just my mom, but everyone on that flight. Calling you a monster wouldn’t do justice.”“It’s true that I hated your mom because she never considered me

I have no excuses,” Huggard said without even looking back. “Just kill me.”Jack walked over and sat next to Huggard and opened an alcohol bottle made in the 1800s.“Red wine preserved with aura for almost 200 years,” Jack said. “I spent 30 million dollars to buy this one in the ‘swamp’ market.”He drank half of the bottle in one go, and then gasped a little.“This is it,” he grinned. “Normal wine doesn’t even hold a candle to this.”“Is it that good?” Huggard asked.“Yeah,” Jack gave the bottle to him.Huggard took a sip and was quite shocked by it. “I-it’s really strong.
