A Total Waste?

"Edric, come on stage for your strength assessment."

Edric with a frown on his face stood up and slowly walked towards the stage. He was a student who was regarded as a rare talent by the teachers and students of the Seven Stars Academy.

Edric and Yanis sighed softly at the same time.

"You see, I told you that you're a waste. Like I said, Edric, you should go home early and don't waste your parents' hard-earned money here." Skylar immediately made a sarcastic remark without losing the opportunity to trample on Edric.

"Skylar, don't go too far." Yasmin slammed the table and stood up.

“Forget about it, Linda.” Edric stepped down and grabbed Yasmin, saying self-deprecatingly: “Actually, he is right, I am really a waste. A normal Strength Star student below 800 kilograms can condense light. The top student of the fifth stage of Inner Condensation is around 800 kilograms, but I am already at 2000 kilograms in strength, but I still can’t reach the Outer Condensation stage. This made Skylar even more furious, and he wanted to cripple Edric immediately, and then take Yasmin for himself.

After the school year assessment, it would be two months of summer vacation. Students and teachers of all grades would prepare to leave school and go home.

The assessment results would be announced at the "New School Year Ability Assessment Conference" also known as the opening ceremony after the holiday.

It had been a year since he came to the Seven Star Academy. The strength assessment just now was the ultimate assessment of the school year before the summer vacation, which was equivalent to the final exam.

When Edric first came to the Seven Stars Academy to receive his star a year ago, his friend Yasmin received the Star of Medical Care, the Star of Technology (Biology), and the Star of Summoning for auxiliary attack, a total of three stars.

Another friend Hubbard received the Star of Mecha and the Star of Cognition. Edric received the Star of Strength and this mysterious seventh star.

According to Yanis, the dean of studies who was in charge of identifying the Seven Stars at the time, Edric had just come into contact with the Seventh Star when a black light suddenly spurted out and enveloped him.

The only people in the academy who knew that Edric had obtained the mysterious seventh star were master Yanis, Yasmin, Hubbard, and the blonde beauty, Miss Alice Caterina, a school teacher who made this tape for Edric to conceal her identity.

Due to the concealment of the information, Edric only had one power star in his seven-star appraisal report. In the previous seven-star appraisals, no one had ever received such a single star, most of them were two or three stars.

Edric, who only had one power star, was laughed at as a weirdo by everyone in the academy. He had reached the inner stage at 2000 kg power in the past year, but he still couldn't condense the light to reach the outer stage. 

He was discouraged many times and wanted to give up. It was these three people who encouraged him again and again, which made him emotionally stable.

Miss Alice was also three stars, just like Yasmin, but her summon star pet was an attacking cat named "Colorful Cat". Her technology star was mastering the two subjects of physics and chemistry. 

Although she was only two years older than Edric and the other two and was a third-year student, due to the importance of these two subjects in the Federation and the extraordinary status of the Katerina family in the Federation, the dean promoted her to the position of a teacher and tshe began teaching the two subjects of physics and chemistry in the academy.

Alice prepared a large roll of flesh-colored tape for Edric. After admiring the skull, Edric tore off a piece of tape and wrapped it around his wrist.

It took time to discover the ability of any star, so the dean sternly asked Edric to pay more attention to see what ability the Seventh Star would show. 

However, what made Edric depressed was that the Seventh Star was particularly quiet in his hands over the past year, and there was no intention of revealing its ability.

Sometimes, Edric even forgot its existence.

"Don't worry, the special tape I researched can change to the same color as the skin. It's prevent people from mistaken you as a member of the evil organization, The Harbingers. As long as they don't look too closely, no one can tell the difference."

These were Alice's original words. Edric, who was only sixteen years old, seemed to understand them, but he still understood the meaning of the word "evil".

After packing up and preparing to leave the dormitory, Edric took out his father's portrait from around his neck as usual, touched it lovingly, and kissed it before hanging it around his neck again.

Edric's father, Carter, died when he was four years old. The cause of death was strong acid corrosion. As a federal policeman, he had to perform missions outside the safe zone all year round. Even though he had a star of strength, he could not withstand such frequent acid corrosion.
