Chapter 2: This seems like cheating

“I was enjoying myself too much?"

After the monster's demise. Kaede checks out the results of her level-up.

“I got seven more skill points to level up my stats.”

With these points, Kaede can say farewell to her zero status. This weird girl Kaede thinks things through thoroughly. Putting her hand on her chin, she contemplates deeply.

It is true that she has become strong and attacking monsters with one hit felt good for her.

“Hmm… Raising anything but my strength now seems like a waste.”

Once spent, there was no getting these points back. Kaede had to make them count.

“I made up my mind! I wanted to get stronger and stronger. The strength it is!”

All of her gained skill points were then added to her STR, and she set off without a second thought to find another monster to defeat.

Traveling deep in a forest filled with monsters, it was not surprising that Kaede didn’t have long before she encountered another one.

“This one is gross.”

A giant centipede monster appeared. The centipede wrapped around her ankle.

Kaede took out the short sword from her waist and stabbed its body. This centipede has poison skill, it pours the poison after biting its opponent. However, even if it had bitten Kaede’s body, it couldn’t make a scratch so there is so a way of inflicting poison.

This is the first monster in the forest that stands one of her sword attacks. Kaede raised her sword and make a second stab. The centipede then is defeated.

“I didn’t level up huh…”

At this point, Kaede was thinking twice about going back. But, deeper and deeper she goes, and after a while, she wandered into the place where the stronger monster was in the surrounding area.

And, that monster's misfortune, right now, appeared in front of Kaede.

It was a bee that flies with a noisy feather sound. It charged toward Kaede.

“No way! This is the worst!”

She was just like any other girl. Kaede was frightened by that unbelievably large sting on its back and drew his sword.

Kaede, who had no agility, couldn't keep up with its movements.

It slid to her back in an instant and was strung...

She was not for some reason.

"Ahahahahaha It’s tickling you know.”

The attack almost doesn't have any effect on her. The reason for that was the skill she gain without knowing because she was enjoying her time killing monsters. The skill is called Great defense.

(Great defense: This skill grants her 20% physical immunity.)

(Gained by continuously being attacked by monsters in an hour.)

Kaede who regained her composure returned to her usual self.

Even so, the giant bee still tried to sting her a few more times. However, it seems it knew that it had no effect, and started to spray venom on her.

“N… … …?!”

Kaede felt like she was being burned a bit. It was the same level of pain when entering the bath after having a sunburn.

When she checked her status, her HP was reduced by 1. Therefore, Kaede would die if she received the venom only 39 times.

"Strategic retreat!”

Kaede turns her back and runs away. But the big gap in AGI wouldn't let her do that. She receives more venom continuously from the giant bee.

At that time her HP was cut in half.

After hearing that system sound, Kaede stopped receiving damages.

“I can’t move… No more…”

Kaede collapsed to the ground. Pretending like she wanted to get away from this place even a little, she crawled.

But it was just an act.

When she did that, the giant Bee showers her with venom as it is only a little before it needs. it as Kaede gradually slows down her movements. It also increased the amount of venom as if it was putting an end to her.

Kaede smiled.

Right, this was her aim. Countermeasures are perfect with this since the poison was her only concern right now. And, Kaede stooped moving completely, she feigned death. The giant bee, wanting to nibble that Kaede approached with its hard.

“Fufufufu, you fell for my trap… Giant bee!”

She turned her body around and stabbed the short sword she had in her hand into its mouth which was widely opened. From the mouth that didn’t have armor, the blade that was stabbed pierced its head.

Kaede moved that further and moved it sideways. The HP gauge that was shown at the top of the giant bee’s head was surely being shaved.

The giant bee became mad with anger and stings her with its sting, but the damage couldn’t get through. And finally, the giant bee convulsed, it turned into light and disappeared.

It dropped a silver ring on the ground.

“Fufufu… It’s my victory!”

After Kaede picked up the ring, she checked the skill and ring she gained this time.

“That’s amazing. HP was recovering, and my STR increased as well. It also says rarely. It means that I’m lucky huh?”

She is indeed lucky to have met the white slime but also had a rare drop.

She wore the ring after removing the gloves that she was wearing in the first place. The gloves weren’t an accessory, just a fashion item, so she put them again above the ring.

Yuki wrote the countermeasures for PKs. Even so, there won't be any PKs appearing that would kill Kaede right now.

In addition, she gained status points after raising her level.

Kaede walked out of the forest and returned to town. She logged out and returned to the real world.

Returning, she was still laying on the bed. She's still in disbelief at the experience she had in another world. she takes off the headgear and game console.

Her face made a grin.

"I hope I won't become addicted to this game."

 She closed her eyes and slept peacefully.
