Chapter 4. Caspian Eyes

Aileen looked at Ace, knowing she had already gotten the job from him made her confident. Maybe it was time for Aileen to break free from the shadow of her arrogant superior. "Please do. Just fire me!" Aileen challenged fearlessly.

Brian's face turned red upon hearing Aileen's boldness. Ace couldn't help but smirk, as he had taught Brian a lesson.

"Your account number?" Ace asked again without much ado, facing Brian who was still glaring at Aileen.

Aileen glanced at Brian and Ace alternately, then took the phone that was handed to her. Aileen entered some numbers and handed the phone back to Ace.

"Don't forget to multiply the salary you want by 3 months. You will undergo training for three months and then I will evaluate you," Ace said.

"Alright, Mr. Ace," Aileen replied, feeling challenged by Ace's statement.

Ace just smiled as Aileen asked for the actual value, the standard rate for a doctor. Little did Aileen know that Ace knew she needed a lot of 0? completed, Aileen was surprised when Ace transferred USD 100,000.00 without even asking, leaving her speechless.

"Thank you, Mr. Ace. I won't disappoint you," Aileen said with extreme joy, but she managed to keep her composure.

"Now, Doctor Brian, is this proof enough?" Ace asked calmly.

Brian remained silent, trying to rethink his strategy to bring Ace down, as Ace was starting to get on his nerves. "But the hospital's value exceeds the amount you paid to Aileen," Brian sneered, unwilling to back down.

Ace tried to reply with careful consideration. "We'll see if I'm capable or not after you prepare your best offer!"

"If that's what you want. I'll prepare for it!" Brian said, then left Ace and Aileen alone.

Aileen closed the door to Ace's office and approached the handsome young man. "Thank you, sir. I'm at a loss for words. This is truly surprising for me," Aileen said.

Ace looked at Dr. Aileen with his warm gaze. "I know you're not in a good place right now. I'm glad I could help!" Ace replied.

Aileen heard Ace's words while thinking deeply. "How did you know?" Aileen asked, still finding it hard to believe that Ace seemed to know her personal struggles.

"Do you think I would just give you money that easily without checking it first?" Ace said with a secret smile.

Aileen felt relieved after hearing Ace's reason and she felt that she didn't need to know what information Ace had obtained. Ace had gained her trust. "Thank you so much, Mr. Ace. I won't forget your help!" Aileen said gratefully, extending her hand for a handshake.

"Make sure you work diligently, Aileen!"

"Yes, sir!"

After Aileen left, Ace immediately asked his system as a system report suddenly appeared in his vision. "System, are you there?"

[I'm here, sir. Congratulations on your first 30 points for helping Aileen.]

Ace nodded in understanding of the data provided by the system by now. Then, he started to think that the system might also be able to provide suggestions for concrete steps to achieve his mission.

"I think I need someone to help me with the administrative tasks of owning this hospital."

[That would be wise, sir.]

Suddenly, Ace remembered about Casey. "What do you know about Casey Blair?"

Actually, Casey was Ace's junior and a woman he secretly liked. It was because of her qualities that he felt matched his somewhat reserved personality. Besides, Casey wasn't from the Jet Set like Megan. Additionally, Casey is the only friend in his study group whom he currently trusts.

[Casey Blair has an IQ equivalent to yours, and her latest program invention has exceeded Professor Andy's expectations.]

"I think she's a suitable partner for me, right?"

[Your personal compatibility is approaching 70%. Likes fruits, enjoys playing billiards as a hobby.]

"Alright. Connect me with Casey Blair."

"Sure, sir."

Approximately 4 hours passed since Ace's last check-up, and he was now getting ready to welcome Casey, who he had been eyeing. Casey, a junior student below Ace, was paired with him for their joint AI project. Casey had even helped Ace with some unsolvable programming issues before.

Knock...

Knock...

"Come in!" replied Ace, who was now sitting on his bed.

Casey, with her curly brunette hair and glasses, entered Ace's spacious room. She paused for a moment to look around. "Ace? Are you okay?" asked the sweet woman as she approached Ace.

"Hmm... I need your help!"

Casey immediately approached Ace and looked at him intently. "Are you okay? I was surprised when a woman contacted me and told me to come here."

Casey's words were like magic to Ace, but he didn't want to get caught up in the whirlwind of romance and instead focused on what he wanted to achieve. "I'm fine. Thank you for asking about me. And congratulations on your successful project with Professor Andy."

Casey raised her glasses. It felt strange to Ace that he knew what was happening on campus even though they hadn't seen each other in a while. "How do you know?" Casey asked, surprised.

"Someone told me," Ace replied with his cool demeanor.

Then Casey remembered how close Ace and Prof. Andy were. Like a father and son. "Oh yeah, that makes sense! You're Prof. Andy's favorite student," Casey chimed in.

Ace smiled broadly and continued to scan Casey's beautiful face, which was the stuff of his every dream. Maybe once or twice he had tried to express his feelings to Casey, but he hesitated, especially since he found out that Megan was only using him. It made him wonder if the same thing would happen again.

"I want you to help me. I want to own this hospital," Ace stated his intention directly and without pause, leaving Casey with a stiff response.

However, Casey eventually began to relax, as if realizing who she was talking to. Ace's other absurd remarks, but Casey, who already knew Ace's character, just remained silent and waited for the increasingly handsome man to speak.

"Don't interrupt me until I'm finished!" Ace said, seeing Casey's confused face.

Casey nodded and waited for Ace to explain his intentions. This smart man, a revolutionary, need not be doubted about his seriousness, but buying a hospital? It seemed far-fetched for someone like Ace.

"Do you know about our research on the configuration to detect LUPUS?" Ace asked.

Casey moved closer and finally sat down next to Ace. "Yes, of course. So, what about it?" she asked.

"I want to develop that research in this hospital. But all of that can only happen if this hospital belongs to me," Ace explained confidently and fluently.

Casey thought for a moment. Everything Ace said was certainly not nonsense. The two of them had been delving into this research for the past two years. But there was one fundamental problem: money. "Where will you get the money?" Casey asked, immediately taking off her glasses and looking sharply at Ace's blue eyes.

"I have it. You just need to prepare everything for me!" Ace commanded, getting a sharp glare from Casey.

Casey then touched Ace's chin a little hard and moved it to the right and left, trying to find any anomalies in Ace's face, which was becoming more handsome by the minute. Ace had changed, but she didn't know in which direction.

"I don't know there's the Caspian Sea right in front of me. And you look handsome without glasses!" Casey exclaimed, only five centimeters away from Ace's face. Casey's concentration began to be distracted by Ace's handsome face, which she had only just realized.
