Atlas nodded and went out again. Turning to sit, his eyes met with Jett. His stomach knotted.
A few minutes later, Atlas returned, bobbing his head. “Yes, you can.”
“Give me the HR’s contact.” Caspian ordered. Atlas snapped at one of his men who linked with Dr. Fred.
A number was sent. It popped up on Caspian’s phone, tagged HR.
“What do you need the HR for?” Orion got alarmed, rushing to Caspian but Atlas’ men held him. Graycie stood up, knowing something was about to happen.
“You must be joking if you think you can do anything to my man.”
“Bold enough!” Caspian smirked typing into his phone.
She rushed at him aiming for the phone but Caspian flung his hand up with it, high above her.
“Give me the phone?”
“Is it yours?” He teased, amused with the idea of stressing the guts out of her.
He recalled how she stressed the hell out of him with allegations that he was her nanny. The accusations that he was stalking her.
Now, he would do no less.
So Caspian wrote a letter. Endorsed by proxy by Sir. Titan. Atlas, under his authority as the Chief of Staff, signed.
Caspian clicked send.
The air was heavy and deadly. Orion and Graycie were breathing faster than normal.
Her doubts about Caspian being someone were slowly fading, pulling her back to reality.
A knock on the door of the waiting room stilled the atmosphere. One of Atlas’ men went over to open.
Neil, the hospital clerical assistant.
“Hello, Dr. Orion.” His gaze flipped from him to the letter he had in hand.
“This is for you. From HR.”
Caspian could see his legs shake, even his palms beginning to sweat. Graycie punched his arms.
“Are you afraid of this riff raff? He's got no hand on you.”
“Smiles. You're a second away from knowing.”
Orion grabbed the letter with shaking hands, opened it slowly. Graycie’s eyes were on it.
The letter head, address and formal heading.
LETTER OF INDEFINITE SUSPENSION.
“Dr. Orion Clever.
We write to inform you that your services as Clinical Geneticist at Titan Hospital Headquarters have been suspended due to charges of false allegations, abuse of power and emotional distress targeted to Mr. Caspian Titan, the grandson of Sir Titan……”
His eyes blurred. Graycie’s urethra shot with urine.
“What's this? Why were you hiding all those years?”
But Caspian stepped back. “Back off!”
“Suspended? After all the services I've rendered to Titan?” Orion yelled angrily.
“Why will you suspend me?” He bashed at Caspian. “Do you know what it means to become a medical doctor and serve for five years?”
The corners of Caspian’s lips twitched. “Is that a tear?” He pointed, feigning ignorance.
Orion quickly stepped back, touched his eyes. They were soaked. “Fuckk!”
Graycie launched her final attack, jumping on Caspian, wanting to bite him for disgracing her man. But Atlas was quick enough, hitting her and forcing her to her knees.
From where one of his men let out. “The cops are here.”
“The cops he called are here?” The words had barely left Caspian's mouth when the police officers walked through the hospital door.
Graycie's face changed.
A few minutes ago, she had been screaming at Caspian and calling him names downstairs. Now she stepped backward as two officers approached her.
"Graycie Reid?" one of them asked.
"Yes."
"You need to come with us."
"What? Why?" She turned to Orion with the kind of look asking, ‘What about you?’
The officer reached for her wrist as she hesitated.
Graycie immediately pointed at Caspian. "He attacked me! He threatened me! You should arrest him, not me!"
Orion stepped forward. "Officer, she is telling the truth. That man has been harassing both of us since he arrived and that's why I called you guys."
Caspian's breath ceased as his hands slowly crossed his chest.
“Are you going to play deaf ears on me because he's wealthy?” Orion insisted.
Then he reached inside his coat.
One of the officers immediately raised his weapon.
"Better not try it!"
Orion halted.
"I'm not reaching for a weapon," he said. "I'm reaching for my phone."
And swiftly pulled it out.
Caspian was wondering in his mind. “What's he up to with his phone?”
When his voice broke out. "I have evidence."
Caspian's shoulders braces higher.
Orion unlocked the phone and turned the screen toward the nearest officer.
A video began playing.
Caspian froze.
The footage showed the gate area of Titan Hospital.
His car was clearly visible.
Then the camera angle changed. The car opened. A hand reached inside.
The video ended with a close view of the gun that had been discovered in the vehicle.
A murmur swept through the crowd. Caspian shifted in posture. He had forgotten about that, secondly he didn't think anyone had recorded the scene.
“How come?” He whispered.
Graycie stared at Caspian with an amused smirk. "I told you," she whispered. "He's dangerous."
Caspian didn't react. His focus was on Orion. His look was more than hate, more than rage.
Thoughts were calculating quickly in his brain. Suspicion.
"Where did you get that?" His voice loomed heavily at Orion.
Orion smiled faintly. "Hospital security footage." He whispered.
A lie. Caspian knew. Right after they met downstairs till now, he hadn't left his side. How did he retrieve the security footage?
Something told Caspian it was more than this.
He stepped towards him. "You've been around us all these while," Caspian said. "Why do you have access to security footage ?"
Orion's expression barely changed. Showing that he knew what he was doing. He knew what others did not know.
"I work here."
Another irrelevant excuse.
"That doesn't answer my question." Caspian bent forward, gnashing his teeth.
An officer stepped between them suspecting he was going to throw a punch.
"We can talk about that at the station."
Caspian's eyes sharpened. "Wait."
He pointed at the screen. "Play the beginning again."
The officer looked at Orion. Orion hesitated, not knowing why he asked this.
"Play it." Caspian insisted and Orion couldn't help.
Orion restarted the video. Caspian watched carefully. The police and Graycie. Even Atlas, they all came together, eyes poked on the screen.
The footage showed his rented car driving in after the gates had opened.
Then it showed the officers approaching him to question.
But something bothered Caspian.
The camera angle.
He remembered the hospital entrance. How it was.
That particular camera wasn't facing the gate directly.
It had been positioned toward the emergency entrance.
There was no reason for it to capture his vehicle from that angle unless the footage had been pulled from a different security system.
Caspian looked at Orion. "You edited it."
Orion laughed.
"Are you saying the hospital's security system is fake?"
"I'm saying you showed me exactly what you wanted me to see."
The officer grabbed Caspian's arm.
"Enough."
Atlas stepped forward. "Officer, release him." It was a warning. He wasn't joking. His fists were balled and his head was cocked.
The officer turned, amused. "And you are?"
"Atlas Wilder. Chief of Staff to Sir Titan."
It was at once the officer raised his two hands to the air and stepped further away from Caspian.
Atlas took out his phone.
"I can contact the hospital security unit and confirm this."
"You can contact whoever you want," Orion boldly yelled at him.
"A gun was found in his vehicle and right here in Titan, arms are prohibited.”
“Yes,” an officer from the back concurred. “We aren't joking with this. This is a serious offense.”
“Officer? Serious offense when I shoot no one?” Caspian fumed.
“There's no need for anger. You're coming with us for more investigation. In fact, besides this, being the one who ordered his arrest, you need to come as a witness."

Caspian quickly turned to face her, his eyes lurking with curiosity. “Why did you ask?” She flung her face away, trying to hide the nervous expression but Caspian already saw through it. “Like I said, I'm just curious.” She muttered. Caspian smirked, turning back to look on the road ahead of them. “That's left for me to decide. Let's finish with the police station.” Cordelia swallowed a mouthful. She nodded. “It's okay.” But snapped back again. “Whatever happens, I'm here with you.” Caspian only smiled, saying nothing. At the station, they were led to the investigation room where the Police Chief was already waiting for them. Seeing Atlas with Caspian, he stood up in salute. Both Graycie and Orion twisted their brows. Even the police chief knew Caspian. A thing which baffled them. The three began to talk, sharing pleasantries while Graycie and Orion were asked to sit and wait for them to finish. Graycie sat but Orion met with one of the officers. “I'm calling my lawyer.” C

Atlas's jaw tightened."Do you know who he is?""This is a police investigation, so you better stay out of this." The officer warned and Atlas was going to pull out his phone and call the Police chief when Caspian pressed his hand down. “I can't let you go with them, you're way above that.” “Way above the law or he's just being a coward?” Graycie played her stunt. “You're still talking?” Atlas was heading towards her but Caspian dashed him a cold stare."Don't."Atlas frowned. "Sir?""Don't make this worse." He said coldly. But Atlas wasn't buying this. He quickly stepped outside. “Who are you going to call? There's no need.” Graycie was already being led away. She turned her head toward Caspian. For the first time since their wedding disaster, she looked uncertain.Orion noticed it.Then he leaned closer to her as the officers moved them toward the elevators."Don't say anything."Caspian caught the whisper. Chapter 4
“I’ve received three emergency calls in the last few minutes about a suspected serial killer.” Atlas said coldly. “Who's the serial killer?” His voice edged up in question but no one spoke. Just stares, suppressed winks and murmurs. His eyes darted to the security guards. “Who's the serial killer?” “Someone explained this to me. Now! Or I will call the police chief myself.”He yelled. “All the accusers will be arrested!” Their hearts were already drumming hard. Some turned in blame. Others regret, wishing they never came here. Leon staggered forward, clearly shaking. “Sir, this man drove into the hospital premises with a baby and a gun.” He turned and his colleagues rushed behind others’ backs thinking he was going to call them. “I thought you all were strong?” Caspian mocked but no one dared to answer. Meanwhile Atlas’ steady, raging gaze on Leon lingered. He picked up his story quickly. “Graycie here had claimed he was her nanny but he claimed they were about getting ma

Caspian pulled out his phone in rage, angrily typing Graycie’s name. Her number showed and he tapped on it. It rang. “Come on, pick the call!” He growled angrily. It rang and rang, no one picked. He turned back, driving his fingers into his air in frustration when he recalled what Atlas had said. About to call him to tell of the calamity he was in, he caught sight of a couple. With the woman looking so familiar. His heart ceased a bit. He looked deeper. It was Graycie. For a brief moment, Caspian forgot everything. The guards disappeared from his mind. Even the thought of calling Atlas to tell him that he had arrived. For one second, he simply stood there, staring at the woman he had called his wife. She was laughing, curled up in the arms of the tall, gorgeous man, looking so much like a doctor. The doctor she'd talked of. Then a black Ferrari drove by stopping at the entrance of the block, the car opened. She stretched up towards the man's cheek and gave him a kiss. “Hey
