However, her brows shot up as she suddenly kicked the ground, initiating a triple backflip, distancing herself away from Melvin's corpse.

At they moment, the corpse of Melvin who seemingly had his heart ripped out from his chest slowly transformed into nothing but muddy substance. As for where Raya had previously stood on, it was now filled with sharp rocky spikes. If she had been even a second late, her body would have been skewered.

"Nice. Although you are fairly strong, your survival instincts is very sharp. Even after you killed me you still didn't let down your guard" Melvin's laughter rang shortly after.

Since it was currently nighttime, it was hard to see any sign of him, even with the vampiric sight that Raya posssed.

"You must be surely jesting. If I killed you, how come you are still alive then?" Raya retorted, nervously gla
