"Nightshade Royal Academy?" Aiden repeated with skpectism.

"Tsk. Tsk. It is an Academy owned by the Nightshade Country" Mr. Xavier grinned.

"Say what?!" Aiden almost had an heart attack.

"You aren't kidding withme right?" he asked suspiciously.

In this current world, there were cities, counties, States, dukedoms, kingdoms, empires and continents.

The Sentry Association was an organization that had jurisdiction over all Magis. Their counterpart were the Mercenary Fraternity, that often lived in the shadows.

However, there also existed noble and royal power that ruled over their own regions in the world.

Starting from the bottom were the Lords. They often ruled over hamlets and villages.

Then were the Barons who ruled over towns. Viscounts were nobles and rulers of cities.

Counts were nobles who ruled over counties.

Earls were nobles ranked higher than Counts. They ruled over states.

Dukes ruled over Dukedoms, Kings ruled over Countries, Emperors ruled over Continents.

As for the Sentry Association, they were the ones who held the world's military might. Many nobles and royals were even part of the Sentry Association.

"What would I gain by lying to you?" Mr. Xavier chuckled, obviously taking delight at Aiden's exaggerated reaction.

"The Nightshade Academy is the Country's number one Academy. I heard that only nobles and royals can only be permitted to enter" Aiden voiced his suspicion.

"Kekeke. You are correct. That is because we nobles and royals tend to have better talents and more reserves to store up mana, more potent beta force and powerful mojos"

"But I believe you show promise. Which is why I am extending this opportunity. To clear doubts, I will also be taking you in as my foster child" Mr. Xavier persuaded.

Aiden took a deep breath. Although his guts kept prompting him that there was something fishy surrounding the sudden show of goodwill, his desire eventually won over.

That was the Country's number one Academy!

There was bound to be many resources. He just couldn't miss out on such an allure.

"I'll take your silence as a yes, kiddo" Mr. Xavier grinned.

"Since you can get me into Nightshade Royal Academy, you must be a royal. Why are you helping me then? I'm just a mere bumpkin"

"Tch. You'll find out in the future. As for now, just think of it as me appreciating your talent" Mr. Xavier patted Aiden's head, before sauntering out of the battle rambo building.

"So, where are we going now?" Aiden chased after him.

"The Country's capital. Where else?" Mr. Xavier shrugged as he fetched out a flashy car key, pressing a button on it.

 Oink! Oink!

A flashy red color bugatti parked at a corner flashed it's headlight.

"Hop in. We are leaving for the air port"

"Hey! I need to at least park my stuffs!" Aiden snorted.

"I can just buy you new ones once we reach the capital. Quit whining like a lady" Mr. Xavier rolled his eyes as he got into the car.

Helpless, Aiden could only follow suite.

"What about your bodyguards? are you just going to abandon them?" Aiden asked, few minutes after Mr. Xavier hit the road.

"I didn't abandon them. Dammit kid, stop asking me useless questions" Mr. Xavier slapped the wheels with frustration.

"Tch" bored, Aiden opened the system and saw an unread notification.

-[Congratulations! You have completed Mission; The Daring Predator]

-[You have received 20 blood drachmas]

-[You have received a ? Box]

-[Do you wish to open the ? Box?]

Staring at the system screen for a bit, before given the go ahead.

-[? Box opened! Item found: Two pair of Klypt Gaunlets]

An image depicting the Klypt guanlets appeared on the System screen.

The Klypt Gaunlets were a dark shade of blood red. Gauging their length, Aiden estimated that they could reach his elbow.

Although the material metal the gaunlets were forged out from was sleek, it was ridden   with intricate patterns.

-[ITEM INFO]

-Item type: Armament

"I recall that my mojo is essence absorption. Although I don't know how it works, it looks like it was tailor made for my mojo" Aiden thought.

-[You have a pending Skill. Do you wish to view skill?" a new notification popped up.

"Geez. I almost forgot" Aiden gave the go ahead.

-[SKILL NAME]

 "Interesting"

.

.

.

"This is your place?" Aiden's mouth was wide agape as he stared at the huge mansion before him.

After a six hours journey by flight, they finally arrived at the Country's Capital.

Along the way, Aiden had previously marveled at the luxury buildings he saw in the Capital.

But compared to this mansion, those buildings were like igloos.

"Deal with it. Because, this is where you'll be staying from now on" Mr. Xavier laughed as he came down from the black Bentley, making his way towards the mansion.

"Good evening Master Xavier" an old butler who stood at the entrance boxed towards Mr. Xavier.

"Good evening young master Aiden" the butler bowed towards Aiden.

"The master has told me about you" the butler replied.

"Eh?" Aiden glanced at Mr. Xavier suspiciously.

"During you both return to the capital of course" the butler added.

 "I don't reca.."

"Geez kid. Relax!" Mr. Xavier interjected.

"Nicholas. Please show him around the mansion. I am going to rest in my room"

"That of course" Butler Nicholas smiled warmly before beckoning at Aiden.

"Accompany me young master. Let me tour you around your new home.

.

.

The next day, the sound of a loud alarm clock blarring jolted Aiden out from his sleep.

[AUTHOR NOTE: RIGHT NOW, MANY WILL BE ASKING.. DON'T VAMPIRES STAY AWAKE ALL NIGHT. LOL. READ ON..]

"Tch. Just now, I thought a nuke was exploding besides me" Aiden groaned as he went into the bathroom to freshen up.

Fifteen minutes later, he was already descending the stairs, clad in a T-shirt and joggers.

"Hm? Strange. These clothes and those in the wardrobe are exactly my size. I wonder when Xavier bought them" Aiden mumbled to himself, along the way.

Along the way, he saw an unfamiliar lady, clad in a maid attire setting the table for breakfast.

She was a perfect hourglass, with huge mounds that were threatening to break apart her maid uniform and a big ass. Her maid skirt only reached her upper laps, exposing her succulent milky white skin.

"Strange. Xavier's skin is  milky white, so was that butler and now this maid" Aiden discovered an interesting fact.

"Oh you are awake young master!" the maid turned towards Aiden with a smile.

Meeting those glistening dark eyes, red lips and toothy smile, Aiden could swear that his heart experienced a giant leap, as a blush crept on his milky white cheeks.

"H-Hi" he stuttered.

"The master isn't around. Your chaffeur is waiting at the garage. You need to hurry up and eat so you won't be late on your first day at the royal Academy" the maid said, with her sweet addictive smile.

"O-Okay" Aiden gulped deeply, his eyes never leaving the two mountain peaks before him.

"Uhm.. Young master, you are staring at me like yo.. you want to eat me.. your food is on the dining table" the maid said bashfully, a red blush covering her cheeks.

 Pui!

 Blood dripped from Aiden's nostril.

"Kya! Young master are you alright?!" the maid scampered to his side.

Smelling her bodily scent up close, Aiden's eyes rolled to the top of his head as he fainted.

Weng! Tilting his gaze down, Henry's expression went ashen as he watched the matrix bullets gather together to form a sophisticated matrix. "You!" He glared hatefully at his opponent. This was her intention all along! It was no wonder Henry sensed the matrix bullets had little to none offensive output — they were actualy individual parts of a seperate matrix! If Henry were to be honest with himself, he had to admit that this was a genuis ploy! However just this wasn't enough to ensure a victory over him. Hastily constructing a stone grade matrix sword, Henry grabbed the hilt with both hands, briefly activating the King Eyes before suddenly driving the matrix sword straight into a strategetic section within the matrix he was trapped in. Kriilk~ Fine lined cracks appeared across the surface of the matrix like it were made of fragile glass. With a loud bang, the entire construct was obliterated into bits, revealing Henry as he harrumphed victoriously. "So what if you caught me of

  • Chapter 455 — All Figured Out

"An illusion type Matrix layered on a defensive type Matrix.." "I'm impressed.." Henry narrowed his eyes vigilantly. Although he could tell that the Illusion type Matrix was merely at the stone grade, layering a matrix atop another was a feat that not even the Academy's brightest Sophomore year students who were Runelocks could achieve even with the resources at their disposal. He couldn't afford to take the upcoming battle lightly. "However don't you think you've lifted a rock only to smash your feet? If you had joined my earlier opponents during our battle, you just might've stood a chance.. " he harrumphed, however while taking a step back with the rune cape behind him silently flapping rhythmically. "I took the opportunity to observe you and I finally figured out your ability.. something that other four couldn't which caused their defeat.." the female Runelock calmly replied, while within the protective layer of the dome shaped matrix. "Tch.." a talisman slipped into Henry'

  • Chapter 454 — Not Over Yet

"Heh.. Heh. Heh.." nervous beads of sweat rolled down the temples of the second Warlock as he keenly observed Henry while trying to regulate his hefty gasp for breath. "What's wrong.. already running on fumes?" The Warlock's expression fell upon noticing the relaxed expression on Henry's face /, standing about twenty meters across with both hands behind his waist. "This bastard.." tilting his head down, the Warlock noticed the grip on his soul weapon was starting to tremble. "I have to admit, what you did was very smart.." Henry took advantage of the temporary truce as he continued speaking. "You figured I was a close ranged combatant so you took advantage of that. With the unique nature of your soul weapon and your mastery over it, you managed to surround yourself in the perfect offense and defense.. I can neither truly do any damage this far away and I can't close in on you because you'd be able to freely control the length of your soul weapon and get the jump on me.." "As

  • Chapter 453 — The All-Seeing

Thud! Walking past the limp body of the first Warlock that suddenly collapsed on the surface of the dueling stage, Henry focused his gaze on his four remaining opponents while sporting a relaxed expression. "W-What just happened?!" the second Magi gulped nervously as his eyes trailed from Henry before landing on the body of the first Warlock that was currently limply sprawled on the surface of the dueling stage. "I've never seen someone move like that.." the Runelock squinted her eyes in a befuddled manner. Not just her, the spectators were currently watching the dueling stage in silence, inwardly trying to comprehend the sequence of events that just happened. Neither of them saw Henry cast an Hex or some flashy techniques of any sort. No! Instead it looked like he just tapped the body of his opponent a couple times and they were suddenly paralyzed on the ground. Amidst the suspense, the second Warlock finally made his move as he charged towards Henry's direction, summoning his

Bang! The spectators watched with stunned expressions as a shower of blood blossomed across the air, followed by a figure being knocked flying out of the dueling stage. "Heh.." a victorious grin got plastered across the corner of the secular Magi's lips as he clenched his fist, fluidly dispelling the Rock Gauntlet Hex. "What an unexpected turn of event!. The first round of today's event has just been concluded. Lasting for approximately a minute and twenty seconds long, the Victor of the round is participant, Liam North!" Captain Frod's prompt announcement rang out, resulting in a loud uproar.. with the majority being the spectators from secular backgrounds. How couldn't they? for so long, there existed a tactic stereotypical statement of Nobles being superior to secular Cultivators. However the result of Round One was enough to completely shatter that misconception! A Magi of Noble Birth and a Secular Cultivator faced off with the latter coming out on top. As if to rub sal

"Today, all the top geniuses gathered far and wide within the blessed state of Alazonia will be participating in today's event. This event will produce the top twelve finalists that would then represent the state of Alazonia at the big stage in the Capital City.." Captain Frod's voice was soon drowned by the cheering and clapping of the enthusiastic spectators. Only after their frenzied commotion died down did he continue speaking. "Considering Nightshade Academy is lauded as the focal point of all geniuses in the Nation at large, each of it's ten finalists present would be on the receiving end, accepting a maximum of three challenges from the other participants of this event. Losing just one of this challenge signifies elimination from said Academy Students and the one who defeats them automatically receives a slot to represent the State of Alazonia at the Capital City.."
