"This is the Academy?" Aiden mumbled as he alighted down from a black limousine.

The sheer size and decor of the Academy's building was beyond anything he could ever imagine.

Taking a look at the premises, he noticed that all the students came in expensive looking cars.

From the grandeur of their movement and the dignified air surrounding them, even an infant could tell that they were all nobles.

"Pheew. I can do this" Aiden took a breather as he sauntered towards the school building.

At the lobby area, there were four platforms with plaques besides them.

 Freshmen

 Sophomore

 Junior

 Senior

"Hm. According to my card. I am at the class D for the Freshmen Students" Aiden mumbled to himself as he followed a group who were headed for the platform with the *Freshmen* plaque besides it.

"Though, I wonder what the platform is used for?" he mumbled with curiosity.

As if answering his question, a male noble amongst the group stepped on the platform.

As soon as he did, the platform got lit with a multi colored light that engulfed him.

When the light vanished, the noble was nowhere to be seen.

"What just happened?" Aiden blurted in shock.

"That's teleportation" a girlish voice said from behind him.

"Huh?" turning back, Aiden was met with a beautiful figure.

She had purple colored hair, with curly locks covering the left side of her eyes.

Although she wasn't a devilish beauty like the maid at Xavier's house, she was a top notch beauty, for a teenage girl.

She had a slender figure, neither skinny nor chubby.

"Hi. My name is Charlotte" she introduced with a hearty smile.

 "A-Aiden"

"That platform is embedded with a teleportation type rune matrix. It's pretty rare and not many nobles can afford it" Charlotte explained.

"Rune Matrix?" Aiden wondered to himself since the term sounded foreign.

Few moments later, it finally got to his turn. Stepping on the platform, he felt a warm ray of light embrace him

He had to close his eyes due to the brilliant radiation. But when he opened them, he found himself standing on a similiar platform, in a large hallway.

"Amazing!" he sighed as he got down from the platform.

"This is the Freshmen Hall" he heard Charlotte's voice from behind him as she stepped down from the platform.

"The Freshman Hall has its own library, gym room, combat hall,  four class rooms, cafeteria and the likes. Basically, it's the environment for Freshmen only" Charlotte explained.

"Geez. How can you know so much when you're just a freshman like me?" Aiden asked.

"Well, it's borrowed knowledge from my family members who were once freshmen in the Academy" Charlotte explained with a small laugh, exposing the dimples on her cheeks.

"What class were you posted to anyway?" she asked.

 "Erm. Class D"

"Whoa" Charlotte covered her mouth in surprise.

"We happen to be sharing the same class. Come, I'll show you the way" Charlotte giggled, skipping through the large hallway.

"Geez. Isn't my luck just damn too god? It's only my first day and a girl's already talking to me!" Aiden made a mental fist bump.

.

.

After a few minutes of winding down the hallway, the duo finally arrived at Class D.

Pushing open the door, Aiden and Charlotte walked into the class room, instantly stealing the spotlight as their new classmates scrutinized them.

"Hey! look at that guy with pale milk skin"

"Doesn't he remind you of Nero?"

"You mean that junior student who beat up a couple of senior students? that Nero?"

 "I heard he's now a senior student"

"Looks like there's an empty seat for us" Charlotte cheered as she hurried over to an empty bench at the rear end of the third row.

Just after the duo sat down, the door swung open as a figure walked in.

He was clad in dark cloak that concealed his whole body, apart from his head, full with deadlocks that covered his eyes, down to the mid part of his nose.

As soon as he arrived in the class room, the atmosphere became chilly.

"S-Scary" a male studdnt gulped nervously.

"Kekeke" the cloaked new comer let out a shrill laugh, scaring many female students.

"I am Nyx.. your homeroom teacher"

"Home room teacher?" the students chorused in surprise.

What the hell was the Academy thinking, posting such a scary individual to be their home room teacher.

"Kekeke. As your home room teacher, I would like to list a select set of rules that you all must follow when in my class- Nyx grinned, exposing a row of shark-like teeth.

"First rule, no side talks. Second, no form of disturbance, whether it be coughs, laughs, sneeze, chuckles or giggles. And third, if your assessment score is below seventy.. kekeke.. You'll find out what will happen, when that happens of course"

 Badump Badump Badump

This was the nervous loud beatings of the students chests. Every single word from Nyx had a scary, intimidating effect in them.

 Drip

Droplets of sweat slid down Aiden's forehead as he rubbed his sweaty palms against his laps.

"Now, let me do a little introductional seminar.." Nyx cleared his throat.

"If you are sitting in this class room, it means you are students of Nightshade Royale Academy, the Country's number one Academy for Magis.."

"I don't really care whether you came here through the back door or by the value of your talent. But all that matters is that you're here, and you must give it your all"

"I won't hide this fact from you.. Class D is the worst and untalented class in the whole of the Freshmen hall.. But that only means, we have to work ten times harder than the other classes. Got that?"

"Yes Sir!" the whole class thundered with a chorus.

"Kekeke. Below are the subjects you'd be studying" Nyx brought out a marker and began writing on the board.

 Combat

 Mojo Analysis

 Geography

 Exotic Beast Studies

 Arts and Crafts

  Armament Studies

"Just like what is on the board, there would be six subjects in your educational catalogue" Nyx began explaining.

"The first Subject.. Combat, will test your combat, giving you a visual feel of what it is like to be on a battlefield. I know many of you aspire to become Sentries, while some Mercenaries. Honestly, I don't care"

"The aim of Combat classes, is to sharpen your combat senses. The second subject; Mojo Anaylis class.."

"Just as you know, we mold mana/world energy into beta force which can be used to reinforce our bodies. But for us to cast hexes, a medium is needed, that medium is your mojo"

"At your current level, you cannot cast hexes. Mojo analysis class will teach you the procedure to achieve such a feat, as well as help you better refine the capabilities of your mojo and bring out it's potential"

"The third subject is Geography class. It is a crucial subject which I'm not just in the mood to explain. Same as the other three subjects" Nyx rubbed his nose.

"Alright, that's it for today. Anticipate your next teacher arrival" saying this, Nyx sauntered out of the class.

WTF!

 He left? just like that?

Not long after Nyx departure, a new teacher walked into the Class D. It was a female with dark spots underneath her eyes. Her lips were covered in black lip gloss and she was a devilish beauty. Comparing her to the maid at Xavier's house, Aiden shook his head. When speaking of natural assets although the Teacher before him was slightly above average, she didn't come close. "Good morning Class D! I am Lisa, your Geography Teacher!" "Oh. She has a beautiful voice. Not bad" Aiden mumbled to himself. "Hm.. Let's begin our classes then. Today's topic is going to be the distinction of regions.." Lisa began her teaching, which she did for over thirty minutes. If not for her beautiful face, many students (mostly guys) would've dozed off because of just how boring the Geography class was. This time, it was a slender man with delicate skin and feminine features. When the females in the class saw this teacher, their e

Hm? how did you figure that out? don't tell me your mojo is telepathy?" Aiden gave Charlotte a wary look. "Pft. If I had such a mojo, I would be in Class A, not Class D" Charlotte giggled. "As for how I did it, I kinda compared you both skin tone. Not to mention that you both have a dangerous vibe around you" Charlotte explained. "Ohh" Aiden nodded. Grabbing the syrup can, he splayed it on the french fries before tossing it into his mouth. -[Ping! "Mold beta to connect to our mojo?" the Students murmured to themselves. "Watch" The Mojo Analysis Teacher brought out his palm. "Fire gauntlet!" A burst of brilliant flames wrapped his hands, reaching his elbow. "This is an hex I casted. My mojo is pyrokinesis or flames manipulation. By molding and connecting the beta force to my mojo, I was able to cast this hex" The flame gauntlet dispersed. The Teacher continued. "However for novices like you with limited amounts of beta force, casting hexes would easily sap away most of your beta force since you still haven't learnt control. And when that happens, your opponent will exploit such an opening to take you down. So it is advised to save your hexes for last, when you are confident in taking down your opponent with that single hex" "Now. To connect your beta force to your mojo recquires meditation. An intense one at that. Picture your beta force as a bowl of soap and your mojo as a sponge""Then try visualizing that sponge soaking

Not only that, their rate of comprehension is pitifully low, as such it is very rare to see a Magi of such a calibre surpass the Omega King rank. It's like waiting for it to snow during june" Charlotte giggled. "As for Magis with mojo having rook tier talent, the maximum amount of hexes they can master in their lifetime is three. Their rate of comprehension is slightly above those with pawn tier talents and their cultivation limit is the Gamma Lord rank" "Compared to the first two categories, those with Knight tier talents can master the maximum of six hexes. Although I'm not really certain" Aiden replied. "Now that you all have introduced yourselves and what kind of mojos you posses, it is time for me to move over to the next segment, connecting to your mojo" Nyx said, waving his hands, causing a stack of booklets to materialize from thin air. "These are Hex Tomes" He introduced. "Hex Tomes?" the Students mumbled, it was obvious that the word sounded foreign. Aiden cussed, his body ridden with cut marks. Crimson red blood kept oozing out from them. "He isn't healing?" Mr. Xavier mumbled while frowning. "Tsk. You said it was just a spar, yet you almost killed me! was that your mojo?" "No. That airwave was caused by my ordinary brute force" Mr. Xavier said, dusting the debris off Aiden's body. But the laser you fired at me contained the might of a 1-star Omega Warrior. Back when it was still a medium city before the legendary existence known as Xavier came into the picture, Fenris City was still a developing city. Although it wasn't a rural settlement, it also couldn't be compared to the top cities. However even at that time, it was considered fairly popular all across the entirety of Nightshade Country because of a single attraction.. the Fountain of Mervyn. According to proven statements, the Fountain of Mervyn was actually a liquified mana super vein. For a territory to support beta force cultivation required it to possess a mana vein. Think of the entire planetoid as a big tank of water. For the residents of a town to access this water required pipes to be connected to this tank. Water would flow through the pipes and then through the residents taps.. This was how mana veins worked. They were all connected to the planetoid's planetary core which was the original source of worl
