Ashley slowly closed the laptop when she noticed Bryan Was asleep. She gently got down from the bed, making sure not to disturb Bryan.

"Is he asleep?" Jason asked once he came inside the room and glanced at Bryan.

"Yeah, he is."

"That's okay...I am just here to check his blood pressure and all."

"Go ahead."

"Hmm...everything seems to be normal, for now”

"That's great." Ashley said,” tell me about his schedule. I will take care of it."

"Ashley, there are nurses..."

"I know, but please, I want to take care of him and it's only for four to five days, right?"

Jason nodded and tapped Ashley's shoulder. "you have to take care of yourself as well..."

Ashley glanced at Jason and nodded. "I know."

Jason looked at Bryan With an unreadable expression, "Ashley..."

"Yes..." Ashley said.

Jason glanced at Bryan's sleeping face and then at Ashley, who stood with clenched fists staring at the floor, and then sighed, "Nothing."

After some time when Jason was done and wrapped up his equipment and turned to Ashley and tapped her shoulder, "There is no turning back now if you are scared, nervous, or guilty it's of no use what's done is done from here on, we can only move forward."

Ashley glanced at Jason slightly before looking at Bryan again.

~~~
When Bryan Woke up the next time he was alone in the room.
He didn't feel sleepy anymore, he just felt weak.
He was also bored with constantly lying on the bed and decided to get up and get out of the bed with difficulty. His head felt heavy but was still bearable. He felt a little ache in his hand too, but that was also bearable.
Fortunately, his legs were okay without any injuries. He didn't feel any pain in his legs, and that gave him relief since he knew that he could walk now.
So he gently walked outside his room, it was quiet, eerily quiet outside just like how a hospital should be at night, but it was creepy.
After being in that room for so long Bryan Felt a little stuffy so he thought that going to the rooftop would be the best idea.
So he walked towards the rooftop and as soon as he reached the rooftop chilled air hit his face, making him slightly shiver and relax.
The night sky was dark as usual. Bryan sat down on the floor and enjoyed this feeling of coldness and loneliness.
But this didn't last long as he saw that there was someone else on the rooftop other than him, it seemed to be an old woman with short white hair and she was standing near the railing looking down.
Bryan thought that this was weird because when he came here he didn't see anyone, and he didn't even hear the door open. Then how did this old lady come in?
Was she here since the beginning? And Bryan Didn't notice.
There seemed to be something wrong with this woman. That woman just stood there and stared down the railing, she wasn't affected by the cold air at all.
Bryan Looked around as well but there was no one so he stood up and tried to say something.
"Um...Miss?...lady?...hello" Bryan said, but there was no response.
That's weird since there is no one here. This woman should have replied, but she didn't.
Bryan Didn't like this, there was something wrong, he was sure of it.
And it was confirmed once the old woman climbed on the railing, which left Bryan stunned.
"Hello Miss? what are you doing? You..." Bryan quickly walked towards the woman but stopped and stared with horror once the woman turned and looked at him. She was indeed an old woman.
But an old woman with completely white eyes! She had no pupils.
She looked extremely pale and her face was completely wrinkled, her mouth was agape and she had no teeth as well. It was a bizarre scene.
Bryan Felt shivers run down his spines, his legs going weak as he stared at this...thing.
The woman then once again looked down and jumped.
"Wait!!!"
"Bryan!!" Bryan Looked back and saw Ashley standing there but he didn't pay attention to her much but quickly looked down from the rooftop and saw that there was no one.
"Bryan, what the hell are you doing here?" Ashley said as she grabbed Bryan's hand and shook him, but Bryan was still looking down with horror.
His breathing was heavy as he sat down on the floor.
Was this his imagination? Was he hallucinating now?
"Ashley..."
"Yes," Ashley said.
"Did you see an old woman here right now?"
"What are you talking about, Bryan? There is only you? see, no one else is here."
Bryan Looked at Ashley with wide eyes and he felt even more nervous now. "You didn't see anyone standing here on the edge of the rooftop?"
"Bryan, I think you are tired. Maybe it's because of the medicines. You are imagining things we should go back to," Ashley said and helped Bryan to stand.
In the end, Bryan just dismissed this thought as his imagination and went with Ashley.
But before going back, he just looked back to see if he was really imagining but to his surprise, he still saw that old woman on the roof and, with the blink of an eye, she was gone.
    Amber was a good and friendly person. I enjoyed her company a lot as well as sitting in a cafe."Oh well, Bryan,""Hmm," I said as I took a sip from my cold chocolate shake"Do you always wander around with ghosts lingering around you?"I choked on the shake and started coughing. "What?""Oh sorry," Amber said and handed me a handkerchief"You can see me?" Noah said, and I had the same question.Amber smiled and said, "Of course, I can. I can see you from the very start."I looked at Noah, and he looked back at me."Well, you look shocked," Amber said"Of course I am," I said. "Are you also an exorcist or something?""I am a mage.""What's that?""In simple words, a magician, you know I cast spells and all.""Oh, I see.""Woah, you are a magician?" Noah said, and Amber nodded."Anyway, you didn't answer"I told Amber everything about Noah and he seemed sorry f
    It was Friday, the last workday.Ashley and I had decided to go to the amusement park on Saturday, which was tomorrow, and rest on Sunday.While Ashley was at her work, I had come out to shop for groceries, since I had no car and the grocery store was quite far. I took a cab.Noah was with me as well, blabbering.He was a very cheerful kid with him, not a moment goes silently; he is always chatting, like a chatterbox.I can only smile, I can't interact with him freely and he knew that as well, otherwise, people would consider me mad.We soon reached the grocery store. I paid the cab driver and walked inside the store, picked up a shopping cart, and got to work.At first, I just roamed around. I bought vegetables and some spices, some beverages, some snacks as well.I also bought a large bar of dark chocolate as well. I just wanted to eat it the moment I saw it. It looks like I love dark chocolate even though I don't have
    Bryan's Pov"So Noah," I said once I sat down at the table, "As I had said earlier, Ashley can help you go to heaven and you can meet your mom there."I said and Noah glanced at Ashley, who was very quiet eating her dinner, it seems that she was still mad at me."Right Ashley?" I asked with a smile, but she just looked at me with a straight face and gently nodded."See? She might look really rude, cruel, and arrogant but she isn't" I could feel Ashley glaring at me but I chose to ignore it. I don't want to be nervous in front of Noah."Will it hurt?" Noah asked, and I looked at Ashley, who seemed busy with her food."Ashley?" I called out her name to make her speak. She put down her spoon and looked straight at Noah,"No, it won't. You are a ghost and you don't feel pain, instead, it will be more like redemption for you.""See, it won't be tough"Noah became quiet and sat on the chair like an obedient ch
    Bryan’s Pov.So I brought Noah home with me, but what I didn't expect was that he couldn't enter our home, at first I didn't understand why but later on I remembered that Ashley had actually told me that this house was safe because she had made sure of that.I think she had cast some sort of spell to keep the house safe from ghosts."Uwaaa!! why can't I enter??" Noah cried."Calm down, she is an exorcist. Remember? How about you wait here only?""Uwaaaahhh!!!!!"I covered my ears because of his loud crying."Just stay here, okay? I have some work." I said and walked inside the house while Noah stayed outside. Poor guy, I wished he could be reunited with his mom soon.I tried to spend as much time as I could with Noah like I ate lunch with him and talked with him about myself and got to know him as well."Oh, it's almost time Ashley must be coming back""Oh, I see...I want to hide my face"
    Bryan's Pov"Sophie?" I mumbled. I have heard this name from Ashley's mouth several times, mostly when I see her talking to herself."Do you know anything more about Sophie?" I asked."She was a weird sickly girl. No one liked her and she would always stay sick."My head started pounding. I never expected all this, but it seems like Ashley is hiding a lot of things from me.Moreover, if this girl Sophie is dead, then was it her spirit Ashley was talking to? And if it was the case, then why couldn't I see her spirit? Moreover, why would she hide her?"Hey!" Noah called me, "You haven't told me your name.""My name is Bryan" I replied, "And Noah, I have to leave now."His smile vanished and his eyes became sad again. I felt bad for him but I couldn't keep him with me."Will you come back?" He whispered and almost pleaded, but I have to harden my heart."No, Noah...there is no need for me to come bac
    Bryan's POV.Ashley had gone to work, as usual. Meanwhile, I was here standing in front of the building I have been curious about for a long time.'Sage Orphanage'It said, a tall building built beside a church. This place was run by this church, that's what I had heard.Without any further ado, I walked in through the gates. I could see small kids playing on the ground and some orphanage workers were watching over them.A guard approached me soon, "what can we do for you, sir?""Um...I want to talk to the director of this orphanage.""I see...you will have to wait for that. What's the reason though? Are you here for adoption?"Well, I can't tell this stranger the truth, and nor can I give him any vague, unimportant answer, so I just went with the flow, "Yeah, I am here for that."The guard nodded and gave me a register to fill the entries. I did what was needed and then waited.All I could see we
