Magic cultivation

"Have you heard, the smith family is searching for someone; they even went ahead to place a bounty of ten silver coins on his head."

"What could have been the crime of that unfortunate person? The Smith family is always cruel, and you test it even better when you go looking for their trouble."

"Bruh, do you think it's a normal crime? I heard that person has something to do with the rampage of demonic beasts the Smith family has captured; even the patriarch of the Smith family is after his head."

The news of the Smith family going around the kingdom searching for something has spread among the people of the great Ci kingdom.

Unfortunately, none of them have set their eyes on Ken; none of them have even seen his face before, which has made them a little bitter on the inside because they could not get the bounty on Ken's head.

One silver coin is enough to feed a family of six for two weeks if they eat three times a day and even get snacks. Ten of them would surely be enough to take care of them for a few months; they might even be sufficient for half a year if they manage it.

With that, who wouldn't want to grab that amount of money?

....

After several hours, Ken reached the path that passed through a thick forest. At this point, he was really vigilant; he even tried his best to hide his mana and ensure that there was no injury on his body to prevent the beast from getting attracted to him.

After checking for injuries on himself, he went ahead to do the same for the horse he was riding; fortunately, neither of them was injured.

However, he could not conceal mana at this stage of cultivation, which made his life even more risky.

"If I'm attacked by just one beast, then all I have to do is use beast apprentice on it, but if there are more than two of them, I would have to make that linked beast fight the others while I escape."

At this moment he was really fearful for his life; it hasn't even been a week since he reincarnated in this world, and he did not want to die after seeing how good this world was.

The horse was fearful as well; it started galloping pretty fast and didn't even let out a neigh when it stepped on thorns on the ground.

Just then, a small roar was heard ahead of them. Ken's heartbeat increased, and he whipped the horse to move a little bit slowly.

They met a curve ahead of them, and just when they took the curved path, what awaited them was a group of cubs fighting with each other. These cubs had special features, which meant that they were magical creatures.

Seeing this, Ken furrowed his brow at the cubs. After some time, he asked the horse to move faster, and when he was close to the group of cubs, he made the horse leap past them.

Immediately after they landed, ahead of them, a demonic beast resembling a lion but with a short horn in the middle of its head appeared and let out a loud roar that sent out a lot of pressure.

Ken struggled to gain his balance back on the horse because the wind pressure was too strong. Only after balancing himself on the horse did he quickly use the beast apprentice on the demonic lion.

After doing that, he commanded the demonic lion to start running far behind them.

With this, he got a chance once again to escape with the horse.

Luckily, they traveled through the forest without any issues.

When he got out of the forest, he reached a small village, and then he rented a room for a night, which cost 1 copper.

Throughout the night, he cultivated to restore his mana and also paid the innkeeper to take care of the horse.

Ken was unhappy; at the moment he had no spell he could use during combat. All he did when facing trouble was use the beast apprentice skill on the beast and send them away.

What if he met an enemy that wasn't a beast?

What if his enemy was a mage?

What if his enemy was a weapon specialist or even someone who could use their body to fight proficiently?

All these made him worry for his life, and he made a decision to get as much spell as he could in the Hunched Flame kingdom.

Spells can be purchased with money, but they can also be obtained when one is a member of an academy, magic tower, or even a family like the Smiths.

Unfortunately, the smith hates flame and thus kept no technique of the flame element in their library.

They only have light and water spells in their library, a little bit of wind element spells, and a very small number of earth element spells.

Just a small war made the smith family hate these two elements so much. To Ken, these elements are the best. Come to think of it, when one is at the peak of magic cultivation, they will be able to create their own spells. Even those not at the peak of magic cultivation will be able to do such a thing easily as long as they have a vast knowledge of what they are about to do.
