Chapter 2: Vengeance

'Where am I?' He wondered looking into the darkness around him, it was silent yet oddly warm.

'It's great that I'm still alive,' for a moment he smiled at the thought. 'But what is this?' He questioned the warm liquid slushing around him, and tried to move his fingers to touch it yet couldn't feel his finger or find them.

His body felt strange and alien, his abdomen oddly heavy yet he couldn't feel his legs beneath the abdomen, they felt as if they were on his shoulders with his arms and the totality of his limbs felt as if had doubled.

'What the hell did that thing do to me?' internally he frowned as he moved his limbs that felt as if were moving in eight separate directions and on each limb he could feel seven joints.

'It must be fumes from this stuff,' he stopped splashing around to lessen the effect of the alleged fumes.

He moved slowly through the darkness trying to understand his alien body.

THUD.

"Auch" he groaned, rubbing his head softly from the impact.

'What the hell is that?' He thought stretching out his limbs to feel it, the edge of the darkness was flat and slightly bent inward.

'Damn it,' He tried to scratched the edge of the darkness but the edge was to slippery to scratch, 'this flimsy cage cannot trap me.'

'Once I escape, I'll find my love and tell the bureau about the hidden room on tenth floor,' he smiled as he pulled back and lunged at the edge of darkness. 

CRACK. A faint light pierced through the crack into the darkness and landed on the clear slimy liquid around him.

Yet he lunged away from the light as sound flowed in through the crack, 'did I ruin the escape?'

'How could I not think about guards?' He felt the urge to curl his hand in annoyance and anger but couldn't feel his hand but he trusted it was there as crackling sound flowed in through the crack.

'Are there others here?' He wondered as he moved closer to crack yet around from the light, he wouldn't give them a clear shot at him by moving into the light.

'It seems there are others here,' He thought as he hid beneath the crack, he placed his head against the edge of the darkness yet the sound didn't flow to his head.

His eyes furrowed as could feel and hear what was happening outside through his legs. 

'What did they do to me?' He asked doubting that fumes could do this, he moved his head away from the edge of darkness.

His gaze turning to the light. Until now he had ignored alien feeling he had toward his body for far to long and now the time had finally come.

'Please show me a normal hand with no ears, please god,' he prayed raising his right front limb into the light then.

His eyes widened in horror, he had no hand, he had no fingers, he barely had arm.

"Noooo!" He screamed at the sight, shaking head as he said. "This can't be true, my eyes are deceiving me"

''No. No. No.'' He shock his head as he moved away from the light.

Now he trambled at the thought as what he had seen, it was a hard shell that had hairs growing out of it and a long limb that was divided into seven or less parts, he didn't have enough time to see it nor did he want to.

'That thing made me into a freak.' His jaw clenched as he remembered the metallic monster he fought before dying. 

'And I'm not alone,' his gaze shifted to the crack.

'They probably more grotesque than me,' He stared at that crack, just beyond it could be people who were just like him. Captured and mutated on.

'I shouldn't fall into despair. I'm still alive and as long as I'm alive, I'll get revenge on that thing.' He took a deep breaths stepping into the light and moved towards the crack, with every lung in liquid beneath the light he felt the urge to vomit.

He had eight limbs, all attached to his upperbody. He had no neck as such his head was fused to his upperbody and then the worst part was his behind, it was bigger than that of any women and fused to his upperbody.

His jaw clenched as he approached the crack, he pulled back his right limbs and swung at the crack.

CRACK. SPLASH. The yolk splash onto the ground dragging him with it, out of the egg shell and covering his eyes in process.

But he didn't care as he stood up with his eyes still covered and said, "Brothers and sisters do not be disheartened!.."

"..I know your bodies are freakish and morbid but do not forget who did this to us!" He screamed speaking from his soul and all eyes turned to him as he tried wipe the liquid from his eyes.

"..Do not let fear, discourage you from vengeance.." As he continued to clear out his eyes, he couldn't see the eight eyes starring down at him.

'These horrible limbs can't clear out my eyes, but it doesn't matter. Even if I can't see, I'll kill that thing and they will help me do it after I help them out of their despair.' He thought as he continued, "..that monster shall know our vengeance and at our hands it shall die.''

He smiled as his eyes cleared and finally his speech finished.

"Krreeee....Kraaaa...kkikiki....kriiiii..." those were the sound that filled the air after his speech and his audience looked around in confusion, they were similar to him in every grotesque way but the only difference was that among all of them, he stood as the smallest.

'Why do these mutated freaks look so familiar?' His eyes narrowed, ignoring their constantly screech.

'I've seen these freak's somewhere before, but where?' He sighed pausing his plan for vengeance for moment to figure this out the answer.

'Where have I seen these hideous things before?' He tapped two of his leg trying to figure this out, the answer felt as if it was on the tip of his tongue yet miles away at the same time.

'I shouldn't waste time on this, that thing could return.' He sighed giving up, a part him was certain that he had seen those things before but he couldn't waste time on it.

He approached the closest one amongst his screeching audience, "did you see the thing that did this to us?"

"Krrrriii..krrraaaa..kraakriii.." it screeched.

'Their brains were probably fried during the mutation,' he felt as if he could cry for them, not only were they hideous but they were stupid.

'Lucky for all of you the mutation didn't affect my mind, you eight eyed freaks.' He turned away with a heavy heart vowing to avenge them then.

'An agg like capsule,' He thought looking at the shell, he had just escaped.

'I should take sample of these chemicals, it's possible the bureau can figure out how to reverse this mutation,' He smiled filled with hope and walked around egg like capsule but found no duct connected to it.

'That's strange,' he paused looking back to the other creatures that were like him, they were next to eggs shells that had no duct connected to them as well.

'Wait they look like..' he squinted his eyes, looked to the furthest one then.

He smiled at insane thought that sprouted in his mind, 'they almost looked like spiders and capsules seemed to be eggs, they like newly born spiders.'

"Ha." He couldn't help but chuckle a little at that thought.

'It seems I'll have to return empty handed,' that thought soured his mood, if he had found that duct he could have followed it and found the original chemical compound that caused his mutation.

"Krikere..My children..krekk...proud...." A voice seeping into his bones rang above him, his body froze not daring to move as the others went silent.

With his trembling body he slowly turned to the source of the voice, his eyes widened at the sight of the colossal creature.

''That's a big fucking spider," he said stepping back to the others as it spoke, parts of it speech were audible but most not.

As he moved away from the colossal spider, it reached out to him as he doubled his speed rushing back then.

Thud. He bumped into an egg shall, 'damn it, I'm about to die.'

'Please make it quick,' He shut his eyes certain it will crush him but the spider limb stopped inches away from his face and said "Butch."

"Huh?" He asked opening three eyes, but it had already moved to the next.

He sigh in relief as he looked at everything, the spider was stopping inches away from the others as well then saying single audible words.

'Its as if it naming us,' he froze at that thought as everything finally added up, the absence of guard, egg scattered around and the colossal spiders.

He blinked three times trying to understand that the egg weren't capsules but simply spider eggs and this wasn't a lab but a birthing nest.

'Does that mean that's my mom,' His vision blurred for moment looking up at it.

'No that can't be true, where are the mad scientist..' Everything seemed to slow down, then everything went black as his body collapsed.
