Chapter 42 - Enemies

Tony's gaze flickered between Mariam and Hannah, his expression serious as he sought to hold their attention. Clearing his throat, he began, "I called you both here because..." His words trailed off as he allowed the dramatic pause to sink in.

Tony spoke with an air of authority, his voice steady and commanding. "I've decided that both of you will be working together. Hannah will assume the role of managing director, while Mariam will assist her, gaining a deeper understanding of the company's affairs," he explained, his tone leaving no room for argument.

With the company returning to normal operations, Tony wanted Mariam to learn the business under Hannah's guidance, providing her with the experience and knowledge necessary to fully comprehend the scope of their work.

"Understand that you will be reporting directly to me," Tony continued, addressing Hannah directly. "However, I expect you to work closely with Mariam, ensuring that she's well-versed in all aspects of our operations."
