Peter's eyelids felt heavy, making it a struggle to open them. As he groggily regained consciousness, he noticed a faint beeping sound nearby, indicating that he was in a bed. However, it was clear to him that this was not his familiar home environment. He attempted to lift his hand, only to find it weighed down by an unseen force. With great effort, he tried again to open his eyes, and this time, they fluttered open, though his vision remained blurred and indistinct.

"Peter," a voice echoed beside him. He turned his gaze toward the source, but all he could discern was the vague outline of a person. Suddenly, a beam of light illuminated his face as someone adjusted a lamp nearby. Gradually, piece by piece, the scene before him began to come into focus.

The person who had touched him spoke once more, asking, "Can you see me?" It became evident to Peter that he was in a hospital, and the individual before him was a doctor. Nodding his head slowly, Peter attempted to utter the name "James," and as he turned his head, he noticed his mother bursting into the room.

The malevolent creature was now unleashed, concealed beneath a dark, flowing hood that concealed its face. It was time to correct the wrongs that had been committed. However, in doing so, much would be destroyed, and the child would bear the weight of the consequences. Could they face this daunting task? They had no choice but to, for they were the ones fated to enter the deepest recesses of the world, just as the prophecy had foretold.

With James and Sarah seated beside him, Peter mustered enough strength to sit up straight, gradually regaining his physical vigor.

"What really happened?" he inquired, his voice filled with a mixture of confusion and curiosity.

"We don't know," James replied, his voice tinged with uncertainty. "The door actually opened."

"Really?" Peter questioned, his eyes widening in disbelief.

Sarah chimed in, offering an explanation, "Yes, Peter. And there was this strange wind. It knocked all of us off our feet."

Peter struggled to comprehend the situation, his mind grappling with the disorienting information. "Are you sure I've only just woken up?"

Sarah nodded, her expression serious. "Yes, Peter. You've been asleep for two weeks and one day."

"What about the stone and the door?" Peter's voice trembled with a mix of concern and anticipation.

James responded, "The door did open, but there was nothing inside. And the stone remained intact, untouched."

Peter's heart skipped a beat as he asked the question that weighed heavily on his mind, "Where is Scott?" Relief washed over him as he awaited their response.

Sarah's voice lowered, "Scott is still unconscious. derek and Sandra only regained consciousness two days ago."

Peter was taken aback by the revelation that Sandra had been present during the events and had only recently awakened.

After two weeks had passed, Peter had made a full recovery. School had resumed its usual routine, with everyone in attendance except for Scott, who remained in a comatose state.

Peter found himself seated in the cafeteria, engrossed in a geography book, oblivious to his surroundings. Unbeknownst to him, Derek had quietly approached and surreptitiously added water to his food. As Peter reached for another spoonful, he looked up and noticed Derek, along with his gang, casting a shadow over him.

"What are you going to do now, Peter?" Derek's eyes bore into Peter's with a seething anger. Sensing trouble, Peter immediately stood up.

"I'm sorry," Peter stammered, trying to find a way out of the tense situation. Mike, David, and Owen encircled him, their menacing presence causing Peter to realize that no one would come to his aid. Derek moved closer, his gaze filled with hostility, and delivered a forceful punch that sent Peter sprawling to the ground, his stomach hitting the floor with a painful impact. Grunting in pain, Peter attempted to rise to his feet.

Derek's punch caused Peter's glasses to fall to the ground, shattering upon impact. As Derek prepared to inflict more harm, to Peter's astonishment, he discovered that he could see without his glasses. A newfound strength coursed through his veins, empowering him. With agility and surprise, Peter swiftly dodged Derek's subsequent attack, leaving everyone in the vicinity gasping in disbelief. In a remarkable display of strength, Peter effortlessly lifted Derek and threw him aside, his actions shocking those who witnessed the unexpected turn of events. Derek collided with a nearby wall, his harsh impact marking the end of his assault.

Had it not been for Peter's exceptional achievements and numerous accolades in various school activities, he might have faced expulsion. However, the bruise on his face went unnoticed by the school administration, and only Derek received medical attention. Peter couldn't fathom how he had managed such a feat or where his newfound energy had come from, but he couldn't deny the remarkable turn of events. Such was the nature of their school environment.

James and Sarah approached Peter as he continued to sweep the school grounds without his glasses, a notion that he found difficult to believe. How was it possible for him to see clearly without them?

"Hey, pal!" James exclaimed with joy as he hurried toward Peter, catching him off guard.

"I can see, James! I can see!" Peter exclaimed, a mix of elation and confusion in his voice.

Sarah joined the conversation, expressing her surprise, "That's exactly what we were going to ask. Since when did this happen?"

Peter struggled to find an explanation, his mind racing with the inexplicable occurrences he had experienced. "I don't know. It happened when Derek stepped on my glasses. I can't explain it, but I felt something in my brain, an energy... and then, it happened. I really did carry him. How is any of this possible? I can feel a surge of power within me," he conveyed hastily.

Sarah and James exchanged glances, their expressions reflecting a mixture of astonishment and curiosity as they attempted to unravel the enigma that surrounded Peter's newfound abilities.
