However, at the other part of the room was Sharon who was all dolled up and was attending to the guests who had come to visit her.

She could sense how envious they were as they walked towards her golden sculpture. Then, she searched for her husband but did not see him.

That brat! Has he finally gone to visit that woman again? She could not help but worry as her face held a smile which was masked in pride and anger.

Then, in a twinkle of an eye, someone familiar passed her side. Immediately, it clicked: Reed!

Her stomach tightened at the mention of that name. Immediately, a cold shiver ran down her spine.

He was definitely dead and besides, even if he rose from the dead, he definitely could not be around because he did not fit into their standards.

Even if he approached her, she would not accept him!

He was still a scum that did not make her realize that she truly was meant to be wealthy and be the envy of all women instead of being poor!

At once, she walked towards the other end, not wanting to be disturbed by guests as she released a long sigh with her eyes closed.

Then, Sharon had it opened only to meet Reed right in front of her with eyes full of fury.

“My goodness!” She screamed out with her eyes widening.

“Are you not meant to be dead?” She asked, touching her pounding chest.

However, Reed looked at her with no explainable expression.

Whatever she had to say was none of his business. Just as he was about to leave, she suddenly released a long laughter.

“Did you come looking like this for me to accept you? You're still a useless prick!”

She said in irritation. His mustache looked so rough, his beards looked so unkempt and he looked crazy and dirty

Yuck! She couldn't believe that she was once with this kind of man. What the hell was she thinking when she dated him?

She must have been out of her mind!

Sharon thought in irritation.

“What makes you think that you are worthy of me?” Reed asked her coldly. Somehow, his words held some kind of aura she could not decipher.

Immediately, it turned to another round of sneer.

Then, she walked towards him, closing the distance between them as she held her Louis Vuitton bag, flaunting it in his face..

“In the past, I was regarded as the girlfriend to a useless man that can't even afford a five hundred dollars cheap bag. He was and is so useless to the extent that nothing good can come out of him.

All he ever did was get me a fairly used bag that cost two dollars each. At most, they were just ten dollars which was gold to him.

Now, I am one of the most respected women in the city because I got married to a wealthy man! You do not even fit my class.

I control wealth and I do not have to manage anything anymore.

Now, what makes you think that you are worthy of me?”

Selena fired back with a cold smile.

Reed scoffed.

“Truly, you deserve material wealth. After all, that's what you've always wanted but does it make you so happy?”

Immediately, those words pierced her heart.

However, she was quick to replace it with laughter.

“What makes you think that it doesn't make me happy? I have what you can not offer. In fact, you are better off dead!

I'm so sure you came here thinking that you can have me. Not even in your wildest dreams will I settle with a useless person like you!”

Reed shook his head.

She was still shallow as he thought.

“I'll rather have a thousand sluts than have you!” Reed continued.

“Do you think anyone will want you? You're broke, useless, ugly and silly! If you're not here for me, then you're here for money!”

Selena said in anger. She couldn't believe what he said.

Was he not supposed to be here to beg her?

In the past, Reed dotted so much on her, satisfying her with what he had. In fact, he had gone on his knees to beg her in the past when she grumbled about a footwear he got for her and she didn't like.

The attraction must still be there. She was definitely sure that he had not met with any other women since she left him.

After all, no woman in her right senses would have him!

“Whatever you say, I don't care about it!” Reed said instead.

Only then did she believe that he was truly like this because he was still angry and jealous.

Then, Selena sighed and opened her purse with her long expensive acrylic nails.

“I know you are definitely here because of the money. Don't worry, I'll give it to you.

When did you leave prison? Today or yesterday? My husband said that.

Unfortunately, we didn't know that you would still be alive. If you were still angry about three years ago, I don't know what to do about that because I have already moved on!”

Immediately, she brought out a bundle of a hundred dollars totalling into five hundred dollars.

She continued while Reed shook his head.

He still couldn't believe that she chose money over love.

Then, a sneer became obvious on her face as she glared at him.

“After all, you're better off dead!”
