The night was suffocating and still. Outside the crumbling walls of his home, Li Tian stood in the gloom, his thin frame shivering slightly in the cold wind.

He closed his eyes and turned his senses inward, inspecting the vessel he now inhabited. The meridians were pathetic brittle, clogged with years of stagnation, and shattered in places from Li Wei's brutal strike.

Weak, Li Tian thought bitterly. These meridians are practically dead. I need to find a way to break through to another level, or I won't survive a single week in this clan.

He lowered himself onto the cold, damp earth, crossing his legs to meditate. He closed his eyes, trying to force his meager Qi to circulate.

Thump !!

In the absolute silence of the yard, a heavy sound echoed in his chest. It wasn't his human heart. The Chaos Heart pulsed. Suddenly, a strange, heavy golden aura bled out from beneath his skin, wrapping him in a blinding cocoon of light. The physical world the cold dirt, the smell of rotting wood, the chill of the wind vanished entirely. Gravity inverted.

When Li Tian opened his eyes, the courtyard was gone. He stood on cracked black stone suspended in a fragmented chaos realm, beneath a vast, swirling sky of hollow grey. Strands of violet chaotic energy drifted through the air like a living aura, silently warping space itself with every pulse. In the distance, broken lands floated in the void like shattered remnants of a forgotten world, while reality around him felt thin, unstable… almost as if it could collapse at any moment.

"Where am I?" his voice sounded thin in the infinite, silent expanse. "What is happening to me?"

Suddenly, a blinding light erupted directly from the center of his chest. A spike of white-hot agony drove through his skull, forcing him to his knees. A memory from his violent death tore through his mind.

Li Tian clutched his chest, his eyes widening. "This is definitely the Chaos Heart," he gasped, the realization setting in. "I never learned its full potential in my past life."

The light violently expanded, surging out of his chest and completely engulfing his frail body. The sheer intensity of the energy felt like boiling iron pouring through his veins.

"Aaaaaaaarg!" Li Tian roared, his back arching as the agonizing glow seared through his flesh.

Slowly, the blinding light began to recede, leaving him gasping for air on the black stone. He looked down at his hands, trembling. He felt his internal pathways. The blockages were gone. The shattered channels were whole.

"Oh..." Li Tian let out a breathless, ragged laugh. "The Chaos Heart is capable of repairing damaged meridians."

As he looked up, the grey void above him shifted. A single, jagged scroll descended, hovering directly in front of his face. It was a one-page scroll, radiating an ancient, oppressive presence. It contained a technique used by the Chaos King himself.

He reached out, the title burning into his mind: [Heaven-Earth Qi Alignment]

It was a supreme cultivation technique designed to improve a cultivator's foundation at a terrifying speed. But as he read the text, his eyes narrowed. There was a strict condition. Because the technique forcibly aligned the body with the crushing gravity of the world, the user needed to drink elixir before initiating it to act as a buffer and generate massive amounts of Qi. If not, the physical toll would be devastating.

He had no elixir. He had nothing but the rags on his back.

Li Tian didn't care. He sat back down on the black stone and initiated the technique anyway.

Instantly, a massive, violent aura generated around him. The void itself seemed to scream as raw, unfiltered energy was violently dragged into his newly repaired meridians. It felt like swallowing a hurricane. The pressure inside his bones reached a breaking point.

"Aaaaaaaarg!" Another roar tore from his throat. His internal organs convulsed, and a trickle of dark, hot blood leaked from the corner of his mouth.

He held on, forcing the chaotic energy down into his core. The pressure condensed, snapped, and settled.

Boom. The stagnant wall of Grade 2 shattered. He broke through to the Soul Awakening Realm, Grade 3.

Li Tian coughed, wiping the blood from his chin with the back of his trembling hand. "Oh, I've broken through already," he wheezed, his entire body drenched in cold sweat. "But it was so hard... because I didn't drink any elixir before using the technique."

Before he could even steady his breathing, the void above him rippled a second time. Another one-page scroll drifted down, landing heavily in his palm.

This one was different. It didn't exude the steady weight of cultivation; it reeked of ash and violence. It was a scroll for an offensive combat technique: Chaos Core Overload Burst

The text detailed the precise steps required to execute it:

Step One: Draw the dormant chaos fire from the Heart directly into the dominant arm, ignoring the burning of the flesh.

Step Two: Compress the volatile energy exclusively at the focal point of the fist.

Step Three: Lock the target, utilizing the compressed aura to accelerate the strike.

Step Four: Release upon impact.

The technique was brutal. When activated, a dense, terrifying aura of chaotic fire would encase the user's arm, overflowing with highly unstable energy. When the blow finally landed, the compressed fire wouldn't just burn the victim it would violently detonate upon contact, causing a localized explosion that bypassed external armor and shattered the enemy from the outside in.

Li Tian stood up, his muscles screaming in protest. He readied his stance and began to practice the steps.

He failed the first time. The fire fizzled out, scorching his own knuckles.

He failed the second time.

He failed the fifth time.

By the tenth attempt, the compressed energy backfired completely, throwing him violently across the black stone.

He dragged himself back up, panting heavily. He was sweating profusely from sheer spiritual exhaustion, his phantom body pushed to its absolute limit. He planted his feet, drew the fire from his chest, compressed it perfectly into his knuckles, and struck the empty air.

BOOOM!

A roaring shockwave of crimson fire exploded from his fist, violently warping the empty space of the realm. It was a success.

Li Tian blinked.

The black stone and the grey sky vanished. He was sitting in the cold dirt outside his crumbling home, the morning chill biting at his skin.

He looked down at his right fist. The knuckles were slightly bruised, but the power slumbering beneath his skin was undeniable. A dark, quiet laugh escaped his lips. It was morning already,

and I need to find an Exilr so I can be able to use the Heaven-Earth Qi Alignment, but am restricted from the clan cultivation materials, he gashp out air looking at his hand " the [Chaos Core Overload Burst] will come in handful for me also even though I can only use it a few Times at my current level before my qi get drained I need to use it wisely

Then he stood up, dusting off his cheap tunic. It was time to serve his punishment. It was time to sweep the training grounds.

  • At the Pavilion

The suffocating gloom of the Ashen Veil Forest finally gave way to the chaotic, sprawling streets of the Green Willow Market. Located just on the edge of the Li Celestial Clan's territory, the market was a sensory overload of shouting vendors, the sharp scent of medicinal herbs, and the heavy clash of spiritual pressure from hundreds of passing cultivators. It was a hub where clan members and wandering rogues alike came to trade blood for resources artifacts, techniques, elixirs, and weapons. Li Tian walked through the crowded dirt streets, the crude sack of his harvest slung over his shoulder. "I'm here." His dark eyes swept over the stalls, his expression cold and unreadable. He kept his qi tightly restrained, blending in with the lowly outer disciples milling about. One must be careful in a place like this.
