At that moment, hearing the voice, both Deborah and Victoria’s uncle turned their heads sharply toward the doorway. Their eyes widened as they saw Damien standing there. His figure was framed by the light coming from behind him, and for a brief second, the tension in the room shifted.

Damien’s face was drawn tight, a strange mix of exhaustion and fire. His breathing was steady, but his eyes those piercing eyes burned with something deeper. Rage, pain, were all tangled together, and even though he didn’t say anything yet, his mere presence demanded attention.
