“Hello!” I shouted.

I knew it was stupid, but I didn't know what to do anymore. My heart rate was literally soaring to the sky right now and my little voice sounded hoarse when I called out. I looked around in panic. My group wasn't there and I don't know where they went. It was so dark because of the denseness of the trees, I barely saw anything. I spread my hands forward so I won’t hit a tree.

“Shit!” I shouted again.

I knew that my grunts and screams might attract the dangerous creatures in the forest, but I couldn't help it. My group left me, even though I've been trying as fast as possible to get back. They couldn't be far. I have to find them.

In a hurry, I tried to find traces on the ground. I'm not very good at it, but I hope Rex can. Unfortunately, Rex also didn't have enough knowledge to read the tracks on the ground. I wanted to swear again, but I held it in. In a hurry, I chose one of the paths that I think looks wider and the trees are more spread out. Maybe it led back to the shelter. My group might be already on the way to the shelter.

I ran quickly where the trees were not so dense and I could see the path, but found nothing. My heart was beating fast and my breath was short. The sun had disappeared over the western horizon and it was getting dark. Soon the moon will shine and the red moon will appear again. I don't know what would happen if Bloody Marks appeared again at this time.

I sped up my run hoping I would see the light of a flaming torch, even though it wasn't from my group, but by the time I realized it, I had strayed further into the forest. The day had completely turned dark and a large moon was visible in the sky. I widened my eyes when the red moon began to appear accompanying the big moon.

"No!" I shouted.

I don't know what I shouted for. No matter how much I shouted, I wouldn't be able to prevent Bloody Marks from appearing in that red moon. When I saw it appear, I suddenly felt weak and I fell to my knees on the damp ground. My head felt like it was being stabbed by thousands of needles and I couldn't breathe. It felt like I was being submerged in water and couldn't get out. I quickly fell lying on the ground helplessly. I will really die this time, there will be no flashing of flames to make me feel better. If a beast were to attack me, I wouldn't be able to fight back in the slightest.

Just as I was thinking that, I actually heard the sound of heavy breathing and footsteps from behind the shady trees. I know it must be a beast. My calls and noisy footsteps may have caught its attention. It's useless to regret it now, it has appeared in front of me.

The beast was shaped like a white tiger with beautiful fur, silver in the moonlight. It's probably the size of a truck. There was a pair of large wings on its silver back. The canine teeth are long and large and stick out past the chin. Its green eyes glowed like jewels in the dark. It looked both scary and beautiful. I was shaking, trying to get up, but all in vain.

I thought it was the only one, but in fact, I was wrong. Behind it appeared two more beasts. They are in groups. I really have no hope of living. I and little Rex are going to die now.

I closed my eyes, trying to come to terms with death, but then the golden tree came to mind. I don't know what else I can do except focus on the golden tree, hoping it will give me strength or a miracle.

The three giant tigers surrounded me who were already helpless. One of them immediately lunged at me, about to tear my body apart. However, my body suddenly glowed golden, just like when I saved Noe from those giant mosquitoes. The tigers roared and then walked backward, closing their eyes from the blinding light.

Not only glowing, but my body also floated a few centimeters from the ground. I don't understand what happened. I thought the pain and weakness due to the Bloody Marks would soon disappear, but what I was thinking was completely wrong. What I feel is the opposite. I felt my whole body hurt so much that I couldn't even scream. My mouth gaped, but no sound came out of my mouth.

I felt as if all my bones were being broken and my muscles were being crushed. I feel like it might be better if the tiger ripped me apart, maybe it wouldn't hurt as much. However, everything has already happened. I just hope that all of this will end soon and that I will die quickly so that all this suffering will no longer be felt.

After a few torturous minutes, suddenly everything stopped. I was surprised because I found my whole body was changing. I feel my whole body full of energy, I've never felt like this in my life. The golden light slowly dimmed and I again set my feet on the ground. I knew something has changed about me, but I haven't had time to think about it. The three tigers started looking at me angrily. With the dazzling light gone, they began to view me as their prey once more.

“Oh shit!” I muttered again.

I tried to crouch down to reach whatever was in my equipment sack. It's the only weapon I know. However, no chance. One tiger immediately lunged at me at full speed. I could see its sharp teeth glistening in the moonlight. Its nails instantly lengthened. Even if I could dodge, I wouldn't be able to support its body weight. The soles of his feet are bigger than my head, I mean Rex's head.

However, I didn't know where the courage suddenly rose in me from. I clenched my fist and when the tiger got closer, I threw my fist with all my might. I couldn't believe what was happening, but the tiger fell with a thump to the ground. A second later, I realized that my fist had hit his jaw. I stared at my still small hands, how could I possibly do this?

The hit only seemed to make the tiger angrier, now all three of them were growling at me. In only a matter of seconds, the three of them will attack simultaneously. I crouched quickly trying to reach for a knife or whatever was in my tool bag. If my luck hadn't run out, maybe I could survive or escaped.

My guess was right, the three tigers were now attacking me together. My logic told me to run away. With all my might, I ran away. The three tigers roared and they chased me. I knew this was a bad idea because all three tigers have wings. A second later I heard wings flapping and the wind blowing too hard. I'm sure no matter how fast I ran if they fly, they will easily ambush me up ahead. I have to think of another way.

I glanced towards the sky and saw Bloody Marks appearing on the surface of Red Moon, I felt my body weakening, but unlike before, I didn't feel any pain. I can still run even though it's a lot slowed down. At the same time, I saw a giant tiger flying over my head. They would ambush me and would not let me off the hook just like that.

"Come here, ugly tiger!" I shouted.

I shouldn't have challenged them like that, because they seemed to understand. Immediately, the ground in front of me shook as two flying tigers landed right in front of me, while another landed behind me. I fell because I tried to stop my run too suddenly.

Now I understand the principle of the jungle. It's just a kind of game of who will be dinner. If you are too weak, then you will become dinner. As simple as that. And now I'm pretty sure that I'm going to end up in the belly of those tigers. My heart was beating fast and my breath was out of breath when I saw the three tigers getting closer as if calculating when they should tear my flesh.

Nola, as if closely linked to the dream world, moved far from the horizon of my mind, disappearing in the surrounding darkness. As morning approached, the sun's rays seeped in through the thin curtains, painting streaks of light on the walls of the tent. I woke up slowly, thrown back into the real world.
