Chapter 18

"Haaah!" Lucas shouted as he swung his sword in front of him.

What followed was a wind blade as cut the soldier's in front of it in half. The others who saw the fate which had befallen their comrades could not help but cover in fear from the young warrior in front of him. Lucas then set his eyes on the soldiers in front of him which caused them to become scared as they tried to run from him.

"Oi oi, where do you think you're going? Make this fun for me would ya." Lucas said as he immediately caught upto them.

The people from both armies were baffled by the physical prowess shown by Lucas. Even Andvaranaut was wide eyed at it as Lucas seemed to have even more strength than himself. Olivia and Aslaug were also surprised as they saw his strength.

After the war started Lucas started to use more and more power until he was borderline superhuman. He cut up soldiers one after another that many in both armies were thinking that he wasn't even human.

It has only been half an hour but the gap in strength between both armies could be seen clearly. Lucas has killed a majority of the enemy soldiers and he seemed to be having fun as he fought or rather killed them.

"Lord Andvaranaut, how is he so strong? Even me who has trained under you isn't that powerful." Olivia asked her teacher after she had cleared a group of soldiers.

"I do not know, the only conclusion that I can get is that he has trained much much more than you or me. The amount of strength he has is astounding." Andvaranaut said to her.

"I think we should ask him after this battle." Olivia said to him.

"We should, I would also like to know how my fellow warriors apprentice is so powerful." Andvaranaut said to her before he focused on the enemies coming their way with Olivia doing the same.

On Lucas's side, Aslaug was also killing enemies but she was a bit away from Lucas as she also saw him strength.

'He is so powerful. Much stronger than when he fought me, and the speed, is he truly a human, the amount of power he is showing is far above the coils of mortals. It borders the power of a demigoddess like myself, no he is even stronger than me!' Aslaug thought to herself as she cut down another soldier.

Infact, after Lucas started to show more of his power, many of the soldiers opted to fight against her and the princess rather than the man himself. Lucas was also aware of this as he saw the movement of the soldiers but he didn't pay them any heed as he cut through the ranks of the soldiers.

'It feels good to finally use all my strength, even if my armor is augmenting it a bit. Ever since coming to this world I have been training my body so much that it has become much stronger than a normal human. I feel a bit bad about holding back on Master Gustav, but I didn't want to reveal my full strength like that.' Lucas thought with a smile as he cut down another batch of soldiers.

After Lucas had been reborn into this world he has been training his body since he was a child. He had managed to hide the fact from his parents and since he has been training since he was a little kid his body was much stronger than normal children.

As the year's went by his training became more intense as he trained his body more. Even after he had accepted training from Gustav he kept on training himself. This resulted in his physical capabilities to go through the roof as he broke the limits of his body.

He was strong enough to break wood and concrete with his bare hands and his strength was much more than what his short frame could suggest. Coupled with the fact that the world has mana his body has become superhuman, a fact that he enjoyed.

At the same time at the camp of Sweden, the commander of the camp was sweating when he witnessed the carnage layed out by Lucas. He wasn't the only one as the others who were standing alongside him were scared and sweating when they saw the fighting prowess of the boy.

Beside the commander was his second in command along with the court mage, Prince and a few knights as they watched the battlefield.

"Such strength. Watching him like this, I can't help but think that it is not a human but a war God who is going through the battlefield." The commander said as he looked at the battlefield fearfully.

"Can't our soldiers defeat him with their sheer numbers?" The second in command asked him.

"It would've been plausible with any other warrior, but the sheer strength that he possesses is greater than any I have ever seen. Court mage, is he using any magic to strengthen himself?" The commander asked him.

"Let me see." The mage said as he used his magic.

He used his magic to look at Lucas and could see that the armor he is wearing has magical capabilities and seemed to cover Lucas in its aura. The mage widened his eyes before he stopped using the magic. The other's were looking at the mage waiting for his verdict.

"It appears that his armor is enchanted and is giving him more power, but..." The mage said causing the others to think that his strength was because of the armor bur the "but" he added at the end causer them concern.

"What is it?" Eric asked the court mage urgently.

"The physical ability that the warrior is using is far beyond the capabilities of any enchantments I am aware of. So the plausible answer is that his armor contains either a very ancient enchantment, which I would've been able to detect if that were so since such a powerful enchantment would radiate a more powerful aura. But the aura that his armor has is not the potent, as such the answer is the other one." The mage said to them seriously.

"You mean..." The second in command said with wide eyes.

"Yes, I am afraid that the power he is displaying is not a part of the enchantments his armor possesses but rather his own strength." The mage said in a grave tone.

This caused the people around the mage to panic as such a strong warrior was not what they were expecting to see as their enemy. Even though they had spies inside the kingdom this is the first time they have been aware of something like this.

"What shall we do commander?" Eric asked the commander.

"I'm afraid my prince that none in our army is strong enough to face someone of his calibre. Even I myself aren't that strong enough. I'm afraid that if I were to fight a monster like him I would die." The commander said to his Prince remorsefully.

This was not what the prince wanted to hear. He was the one who waged war against the kingdom so he can't back down. Not that his family is able to do so since if they were to do that then it will be a severe blow to their pride.

'Should I use my Trump card. No, using it in the army might not be beneficial as the other warriors might help him in defeating it. What do I do?' Eric thought to himself frustrated.

Then he gained an idea as he looked at the mage. Said mage saw the prince looking at him and turned to face him.

"What is it my Prince?" The mage asked him.

"You said that he has astounding physical prowess yes. Then that means he isn't as strong with magic right." Eric asked him.

"Yes that is what I think. But what do you wish to do my prince?" The mage asked him.

Eric then told him plan to the mage along with the commander and second in command. The prince's plan surprised them as they looked at him.

"Are you sure my Lord?" The commander asked him.

"Yes I am very sure. Court mage, you can share this plan with father and then proceed with it." Eric said to him.

"As you wish your highness." The mage said before he walked away.

Eric then looked at the battlefield as his army was being pushed back by the enemy. But he was more focused on Lucas who was culling his army like he was dealing with flies. He face contorted in anger as he glared at the warrior.

'I swear, I will kill you in the worst way possible for standing in my way.' Eric thought to himself with anger as he glared at Lucas as he killed another soldier.

Then to the prince's surprise Lucas stopped and then pointed his sword straight at the Prince. This of course surprised and scared the prince along with the commander and second in command as Lucas smirked.

'You're next.' Lucas thought to himself with a smirk.
