Chapter 17

Right after the two royals gave their signals both the armies ran towards the other. Lucas drew his blade and ran a bit more in front of the army with Aslaug trailing behind him. The soldiers behind the two were surprised at their speed while Lucas's focus was on the army in front of him.

'He's faster than when he fought me. Of course I'm holding back on my strength but he is still quite fast.' Aslaug thought to herself as she noted his speed.

A few metres away from the two Olivia was also running but she was holding a spear while the sword he had used for the signal was sheathed. She was also quite fast as she was also a bit more in front of the army with her teacher Andvaranaut trailing behind. The two of them caught sight of Lucas and Aslaug running in front of the army as well.

'He's very fast and his female knight is as well. It was a good decision to include them in this part of our army.' Olivia thought to herself as she turned her attention to the opposing army.

Olivia was wearing silver and red armor. It covered her breasts, shoulders, forearms, legs, hip and back. Her armor wasn't a royal heirloom as there was only an armor for males. So her father the king had made her an armor with enchantments to help her in the war. Her armor contains enchantments for increased strength, protection against physical and magical attacks. Her spear was also been engraved with enchantments for increased strength, power along with the ability to coat it in lightning like Oscar's sword.

As for Lucas, his family armor was also engraved with enchantments. His armor is made of a very heavy but strong and durable metal which causes it to not be desirable for combat. So, the armor has enchantments which decrease it's weight which allows it's wearer to move more quickly than they should be able to and the armor gives them extra protection as well. The other enchantments were to increase the strength of the wearer along with their speed, agility, defence against physical and magical attacks as well.

The sword he is using is not enchanted as the weapon used by the heirs of the Larsen Clan use different weapons and as such they only had a armor. But for Lucas that was more than enough as the enchantments on his armor were working very well as he feel like he is only wearing light armor.

'Now that I'm in the battlefield I won't have to hold back like I did with Aslaug. Now I can finally use my full strength.' Lucas thought to himself as the army were about to meet with eachother in a few moments.

Lucas then shot forward in speed catching the ones around him off guard as he managed to get in front of the approaching army in a second. The soldiers at the front were surprised when they saw him but Lucas only got ready with his blade. He looked at them and swung his sword which sliced through the air quickly.

The next moment a strong wind current was created from it which sent the soldiers flying backwards which caused them to crash with the ones behind them as dust was kicked up. The ranks of the soldiers on his end was in a bit of panic from the display while the army from his side was shocked when they saw it. Aslaug was also shocked when she saw it.

'He was holding back on me so much!' Aslaug thought shocked when she saw it.

Lucas meanwhile smirked when he saw the shocked looks of the opposing soldiers and then swung his sword at another one decapitating them.

'The humans of this world have a much more stronger bodies and it can be strengthened to much higher degrees than on Earth. The mana that exists in the air of this world makes the humans stronger. Shame that not many except for martial artists like my Master and people like him are the only ones who train themselves to become stronger.' Lucas thought to himself as he plunged his sword into the body of another soldier.

Aslaug has also killed a soldier when he had and then the two of them started to kill the soldiers one after another. Their strength being of much higher degree than the soldiers which enabled them to go through a good number of soldiers in a short time.

"Aaaahhhhhh!" A total of five soldiers yelled in pain as lightning coursed through their body before they dropped dead.

The one responsible was revealed to be Olivia whose spears metal part was covered in electricity. She was also going through the army in a faster pace and her teacher Andvaranaut was also not behind. The powerful warrior killing soldiers every few swings of his spear as he led the way for his men to attack.

Olivia had seen how Lucas and Aslaug were going through the soldiers as she gained a determined expression. She spun her spear and sliced a few soldiers near her before leaping onto the air and then plunged her spear on the ground. Electricity flowed over the ground and electrocuted the soldiers around her as they dropped down dead.

"That is good form you majesty. I am quite happy that my lessons have come to your aid." Andvaranaut said as he appeared beside her.

"Thank you for your praise Lord Andvaranaut. It would also seem that our performance has boosted the morale of our soldiers." Olivia said as the soldiers of her army charged at the enemies with battlecries.

"Yes, and Gustav's students performance is not bad as well. I can see that his physical capabilities far exceed that of a normal soldier. That kind of strength is only attained if he has been training for a long time." Andvaranaut said as he looked at Lucas who was fighting with the soldiers.

"Yes, it was a good decision to include him in this part of the army." Olivia said with a nod as her spear crackled with lightning.

"Yes, so shall we show these Swede's the might of our kingdom your highness." Andvaranaut said to her as he also got ready with his spear.

"Yes." Olivia simply said before the two dashed to meet with the enemy.

The two duos of warriors, Lucas and Aslaug, and Olivia and Andvaranaut, went through many of the enemy soldiers while the soldiers themselves weren't much of a match for the skill of these four warriors, or in Aslaug's case her strength. Many in the enemy ranks were starting to get scared of the four as they were going through their soldiers easily.

The prince of Sweden, Eric Andersen was watching this while at his part of the camp. He had returned to his tent after signalling for the beginning of the war. He was quite a distance away from the battlefield so he was thinking of enjoying the battle with peace. But this thought was thrown out the window as he felt a drop of sweat on his brow as he bore witness to the display of strength and skill of the four warrior's.

'Damn it! I didn't think that woman would be so strong. And then there are those other three warriors. That man seems to be a nobleman yet he has a great amount of skill and strength which I haven't seen in any of the nobleman from my kingdom. Not to mention, the soldiers themselves haven't gone through any special type of training so they aren't skilled enough to fight foes like that.' Eric thought to himself frustrated.

He had imagined that the war would take a few days but he was confident that his army would win. He also had a back up plan in case his army was in a disadvantage. Yet he couldn't think of the fact that such powerful warrior's would be fighting at the front lines of the army, which also included the kingdom's princess as well.

'If this goes on, then I will have to use my back up plans sooner than I had thought.' Eric thought to himself as he looked at the war.
