Lucas ran towards the army as they went to attack him. He used his sword and stabbed the underside of the head of the soldier on his right instantly killing him. He kicked the soldier in front of him sending him back as he impacted the soldiers behind him. He grabbed the sword of the soldier on his left and used it to block the sword of another.

He retrieved his sword and decapitated that soldier before yanking the other sword from the soldiers hand and stabbing him at the right side of his chest through the gap in his armor. He let go of the sword before kicking another soldier away. He then caught sight of a fireball going straight towards him to which he acted by cutting it in half and jumping away as it exploded killing some of the soldiers around him.

He then grabbed a soldiers head and slammed it on the ground as a small crater formed as he lifted him up and used his body to block the axe thrown at him by the army. Said axes had enough power from the throw to go through the armor and kill the soldier.

Lucas took notice of how he is now surrounded so he sheathed his blade much to the confusion of the army. Though many were thinking of this as an opportunity to kill him.

That thought however was thrown out of the window when he started to dish out powerful punches which had enough power to cave in the armor and crush their heads and chest of the ones who were unfortunate enough to be in its path.

"We can't beat him!" A soldier shouted in fright as he saw Lucas killing a dozen soldiers in a few seconds.

"We should retreat! We have to tell our Lord!" Another soldier said to him.

The other soldiers nodded as they didn't want to be with the human noble.

"Who said I'm going to let any of you go back?" Lucas said showing he was able to hear what they said.

They looked at him terrified as he took an axe and then swung it in a wide arc cutting a few soldiers in half as they screamed in pain as their blood gushed out of the wound. Lucas then jumped high and brought the axe down on another soldier as it cleaved him in half as it impacted the ground.

This resulted in the soldiers near him to be blown back from the wind created by the attack as they fell back. Lucas let go of the axe and grabbing his sword went and killed a few more soldiers with it. He swung his sword to rid it of the blood on it before going back on his spree. He had managed to kill a total of 135 soldiers as was about to kill another one.

But to his surprise a soldier came and blocked his attack albeit it sent them back a bit as they skidded to a halt. He recognised the soldier as the only woman in the group, it is none other than Kriemhild as looked at him and then at her sword which had a small crack on it.

'His attack was strong enough to cause a crack on my sword even though that was the first attack.' Kriemhild thought to herself.

'Hmm, she managed to block my attack so she must be at least decently skilled. But I do have to take care of that mage.' Lucas thought to himself as he remembered that detail.

He then jumped and using the soldiers as footholds as he ran on their shoulders he ran towards the mage who got scared. The archers at the back shot their arrows at him which he dodged by jumping above them and then got close to mage.

The mage had started to chant for a spell and was halfway through but he wasn't able to complete it as his sword pierced his head as his body jerked backwards in response. The archers beside him only had the time to look at him before Lucas grabbed their faces and smashed them on the ground cracking their helmet as blood came out.

The people seeing this screamed in horror. Many ran away not wanting to fight and die against a monster like this. They ran past him as they kept their distance as he showed no signs of trying to stop them. Seeing this many of the soldiers ran away with their lives.

*Thud*

Only for them to hit an invisible barrier which caused them to fall back on the ground due to the kinetic energy. They looked dumbly ahead before a purple barrier materialized from in front of them and in the terrified gazes of the soldiers formed a dome around them trapping them inside.

"I told you didn't I?" Lucas said as he retrieved his sword from the mage's corpse.

The soldiers around him looked at him in horror as he smirked.

"I'm not going to let any of you get out of here." Lucas said with a smirk.

He then raised his sword behind him which met the blade of another sword. It belonged to Kriemhild who tried to attack him but was surprised when he blocked her without even looking.

'N-No way, he didn't even look but he still managed to block it.' Kriemhild thought to herself in shock.

"Your swordsmanship is quite good, but not good enough." Lucas said as he pushed her back.

She staggered back before her eyes widened as she saw Lucas about to attack her. She grit her teeth and using as much power as she could blocked the attacks he sent at her. Lucas seeing her blocking his attacks was impressed by the display of strength and skill she has just shown.

'She has potential.' Lucas thought to himself.

He then gave one powerful swing which she met with her blade but to her horror her blade broke when it contacted with his. Using that brief moment of shock he grabbed her by the neck and raised her off the ground before slamming her down.

"Gahah!" Kriemhild let out in pain from the attack.

"Never leave your eyes wander away from your opponent." Lucas said to her before he picked her up again and then threw her at a tree.

She hit the tree and gave a cry of pain before falling on the ground in front of it. She tried to get up as she gathered her strength as she grit her teeth.

'He defeated me so easily. Is-Is this how I'm going to die?' Kriemhild thought to herself.

She heard the sound of footsteps as she looked up and found Lucas walking towards her. After he got to her he kneeled in front of her as she looked at him.

"We'll talk after this. You have impressed me enough for that." Lucas said to her.

Any words she would've said to him went unspoken when he punched her in the face causing her to go unconscious. After that he stood up and looked at the rest of the soldiers who were scared of him. He looked at them and gave a smirk which promised nothing good for the.

Olivia couldn't believe what was happening right now. She had entered the throne room, ready to fight against the enemy prince. But right after she had dodged the energy attack from Eric, a smaller attack had hit her, and to her surprise she didn't feel any pain from him, which was confusing for her and concerning. And then before she was able to think about the attack, her body moved forward, her arms curled around the shaft of her spear as she slashed her spear, right towards Lucas. This alarmed her as she wasn't able to stop herself as she felt fear, and then relief when he had parried her attack and pushed her back. But then she saw Master Andvaranaut attack him with his spear as well as he also parried the attack and made the man fall back. And she saw Kriemhild attacking him from behind as he was moving to protect himself, but Aslaug appeared as she met with Kriemhild and pushed her back which gave her more relief. Which was when Olivia saw the yellow glow in her master'

Lucas and his companions stormed the palace as they charged in through the main door and ran as they didn't find any guards there, but they kept running to find the mage and stop this war. They ascended a flight of steps to get to the throne room. But they were met with the sight of more than 100 soldiers who were ready with their weapons as they immediately honed in on the intruders. "Attack!" The commander shouted as the soldiers ran. Arrows and magic flew towards them as Lucas and Aslaug charged forward and sliced the magical attacks while the others followed their lead while dodging the arrows as the enemy soldiers were charging at them at the same time. Olivia wreathed her spear with lightning as she threw it as it sailed through the air and impaled through a line of soldiers and stabbed through the heart of a mage, before it yanked itself out and flew back towards Olivia as she grabbed it as she met the soldiers blades with her alongside the rest. Andvaranaut had noticed ho

  • Chapter 67

Lucas and his group charged through the territory as they passed by civilians and soldiers, the latter of which they dispatched off pretty quickly, as it was quite easy for Lucas to do so with his magic. He also had held from Olivia and Andvaranaut as they also used their spears to shoot lightning at the enemies, the two weapons were given to them by the court mage and they were pretty reliable weapons. Aslaug watched them and frowned as her own sword is unable to do the same thing, which makes her limited in terms of range, which in hindsight would've been useful when she had first fought against Lucas. 'Hmm, I guess that is a limitation I have.' Aslaug thought to herself as she rode the horse as they charged at the castle. Of course, the way to the castle wasn't quite easy as there were soldiers that tried to kill them but they were dispatched off quickly as they made the horses run faster as they felt the wind over their faces and skin as they charged, it was true for Lucas,

  • Chapter 66

Lucas felt his power increase as the runes were becoming more attuned to his body as his own body was getting used to them as well as they were harmonizing as he ran towards the golems and his own brats as the others followed on their foot as they charged at the enemies. Alpha and the rest of the boys also noticed their Lord and the army coming towards them with Lucas at their helm. the guy himself nodded to them as he approached as they smiled at his acknowledgement, but focused back on the battle as they knew that it had more priority at the moment. Lucas charged forward, not about to let this opportunity go by as Aslaug immediately followed after him, being the only one who is equal ground to him, followed by Andvaranaut, Olivia and Kriemhild as they charged. He reached the nearest golem as his sword sang as he slashed it's leg as he passed one of his boys as he slashed off its right arm, grabbed it to have leverage before he plunged the sword into the golems head, got a foot

  • Chapter 65

Lucas couldn't believe his eyes as he saw the golems that were attacking them as he couldn't help but squint his eyes as he saw the things. His irritation growing at how much of a problem this new mage was being to them and how much he wanted to end his life so that he doesn't have to deal with all these things. By now the rest of his group had also spotted the golems as many of the soldiers paled at the sight while Andvaranaut, Olivia and Kriemhild were tense as they saw them. Aslaug just frowned as she looked at the golems, her expression hidden by the helmet. Lucas licked his lips as he growled at the sight of the enemy, the image of his wyvern being hurt was etched into his mind as he could vividly recall the sight of his charred chest and damaged wings. He was going to make them pay for what they have done. "Why don't you use your portals to just send them back." Andvaranaut asked him as they had moved back due to the assault. "It still costs me energy to use my magic. I don

  • Chapter 64

The soldiers watched with wide eyes as the portal devoured the attacks from the enemy as they were awed by the sight in front of them as Lucas grit his teeth while the others watched. "Woah." Olivia said in awe at the sight. "Impressive." Andvaranaut said with a nod. "Master Lucas..." Kriemhild said in awe at the giant portal in front of her. The other soldiers who are being protected by him were also awed as they watched the deadly attacks being taken into the portal as he himself is gritting his teeth to ensure that the portal is stable and stays open, otherwise then the soldiers behind him are sure to die, while the more skilled ones would at least be able to dodge the attacks. Aslaug watched the spectacle as she gripped her sword tight as she saw the magic he is using as she watched the powerful attacks being devoured, and she knew that he would also be able to do the same thing to her if he wanted to. Lucas kept his focus as he kept the portal open until the attack wa
