"As if! I'm not gonna yield!" Oskar shouted as he went to attack Oscar with his fists.

Lucas only sighed in response as he used the broad side of his blade and smacked Oskar's across the face with it. This sending the heir tumbling to Lucas's left as he lost his balance while Lucas openly scoffed. Olivia meanwhile was grinning at seeing a cheeky nobleman being put in his place.

Oskar coughed a bit and started to get up when he heard the clanking of boots as he turned and looked at Lucas who was walking towards him.

"Just give up you are embarassing yourself." Lucas said in a tired tone.

But Oskar wasn't having none of it. He was brought up as a member of the high class of the current society and was told that he was special and that was how his life had been. But now facing the humiliation of defeat in front of all these people was making him more angry as he lunged at Lucas with a roar.

Lucas sighed and letting go of his sword he moved out of the way and then using his hand tore the armor from his right forearm. This caused Oskar to gasp along with the audience. But he didn't stop there as he took the armor from his shoulder as well. Then he punched Oskar on the nose causing him to be disoriented.

Lucas then decided to end this pathetic charade as he used his leg and made Oskar kneel on the ground. Then he did a swift karate chop at his neck which effectively knocked him out as he fell to the ground. The whole arena was silent as the referee went to the two fighters and checked to see if Oskar was knocked out. He checked and indeed he was knocked out cold.

"Oskar Rehbindr has been defeated. Lord Lucas Larsen is the winner of this duel!" The referee shouted to the audience.

The crowd of commoners erupted in cheers when they heard it and those who supported Lucas were also cheering for his victory. The other nobles were talking amongst themselves about his fighting prowess while Lucas's parents were smiling proudly at their sons victory.

"Hmm, that boy is a real warrior." Arvid said with an impressed look.

"You're right dear. Right now there aren't many noblemen who actually train in martial arts. I mean, most of the high ranking knights in the army are more proficient in it than the nobles." Signe said agreeing with her husband.

"I must agree mother. I never expected him to be so well versed in fighting. The other nobles I have seen fight don't even have half of his skill." Olivia said agreeing with her mother with a serious look.

Her parents looked at her when they heard what she said but didn't comment on it. Olivia was looking at Lucas who had just taken and unsheathed his sword as he looked at Oskar who was being carried by the knights.

'I am really curious about him now. What motivates a man who was born with such privileges to train so hard to reach that level of skill and strength?' Olivia thought to herself curiously.

The audience was cheering for Lucas when a knight entered the chamber where the royal family were. The king noticed him and gave him his permission to enter. The knight bowed and then kneeled in front of the royal family.

"My king, I have an important letter for you." The knight said respectfully at the monarch.

"A letter? From where?" Arvid asked him.

"It's from the Swedish kingdom my lord. It was written by their prince and was addressed to the princess. Here's the letter." The knight said as he presented the letter.

Arvid took the letter and examined it's envelope and made sure that it was truly from the Swedish kingdom and saw that it was truly from the kingdom.

"You may leave." Arvid said to the knight.

"Yes my king." The knight bowed before exiting the chamber.

Arvid saw the man leave before he gave the letter to his daughter.

"Read it when we get back to the palace." Arvid said to him daughter seriously.

"Yes father." Olivia said as she looked at the letter with narrowed eye's as they walked away.

It took sometime for the royal family to reach their castle. After the duel between Lucas and Oskar which had gained much favour for the Larsen clan the people in the arena dispersed and went to their daily lives. But for the royal family it was a different matter. Since they had been sent a letter from the Swedish kingdom from the prince. Right now the three of them were in Olivia's room as she had the letter in her hand. It was decorated very well to show the one who sent it.

"Does anyone else know about it?" Olivia asked her father.

"Since most of the people and nobles in the country had come to watch the duel no one knows about it for the time being. But I'm sure that most of the other nobles will catch wind about this letter soon." Arvid said to her.

"Well dear, why don't you open the letter and see what the prince has to say to you." Signe said to her daughter.

Olivia nodded to her mother and opened the letter and started to read it.

The letter read as follows:

[Greetings Princess Olivia Von Ascheberg of the kingdom of Norway, as you no doubt know I am the prince of the great kingdom of Sweden and have written this letter to talk about a matter which will be of great importance to both of our kingdoms. As you are no doubt aware that the new cave with various ores and minerals have caused our Kingdom's to be at a bitter dispute with each other.

But rest assured I have come up with a solution. It is quite simple, I am writing this letter to ask for your hand in marriage. I am a part of the royal family of the Andersen's and am next in line of the throne and many maidens have tried to gain my recognition. But I have to say that I have never seen a woman quite like yourself and wish to have you as my wife.

I'm sure that a beautiful and noble woman like yourself knows that someone of your status should be with someone like me who is the only one in both kingdoms who could stand as your equal. And do not worry, if you are to be married to me I will make sure that you will have the utmost care from me and I will make sure to take good care of you as a woman like yourself needs a strong man to protect you.

You will not have to worry about anything as I will make sure that you will have a life full of luxury and bliss in my care and promise that you will not be disappointed.

My great kingdom of Sweden will make sure that you will live a life of such bliss and happiness that you life up until now in Norway would seem like a distant illusion. You will have wished to have been born in my great homeland when you experience our kindness.

I know that you will make the smart decision and pave the way for both of our kingdoms to rise to a better future.]

It was safe to say that a letter like that would only enrage a proud princess and so it came as no surprise at the reaction of the princess.

Lucas couldn't believe his eyes as he saw the golems that were attacking them as he couldn't help but squint his eyes as he saw the things. His irritation growing at how much of a problem this new mage was being to them and how much he wanted to end his life so that he doesn't have to deal with all these things. By now the rest of his group had also spotted the golems as many of the soldiers paled at the sight while Andvaranaut, Olivia and Kriemhild were tense as they saw them. Aslaug just frowned as she looked at the golems, her expression hidden by the helmet. Lucas licked his lips as he growled at the sight of the enemy, the image of his wyvern being hurt was etched into his mind as he could vividly recall the sight of his charred chest and damaged wings. He was going to make them pay for what they have done. "Why don't you use your portals to just send them back." Andvaranaut asked him as they had moved back due to the assault. "It still costs me energy to use my magic. I don

The soldiers watched with wide eyes as the portal devoured the attacks from the enemy as they were awed by the sight in front of them as Lucas grit his teeth while the others watched. "Woah." Olivia said in awe at the sight. "Impressive." Andvaranaut said with a nod. "Master Lucas..." Kriemhild said in awe at the giant portal in front of her. The other soldiers who are being protected by him were also awed as they watched the deadly attacks being taken into the portal as he himself is gritting his teeth to ensure that the portal is stable and stays open, otherwise then the soldiers behind him are sure to die, while the more skilled ones would at least be able to dodge the attacks. Aslaug watched the spectacle as she gripped her sword tight as she saw the magic he is using as she watched the powerful attacks being devoured, and she knew that he would also be able to do the same thing to her if he wanted to. Lucas kept his focus as he kept the portal open until the attack wa

Olivia charged as she tapped her foot on the side of her horse as it picked up its pace alongside her master's as the two stabbed through the soldiers in front of them. The remaining soldiers were a few mages, archers and a handful of melee soldiers as their army charged at them. Olivia jumped from her horse as her spear channeled lightning through its tip as she threw the weapon towards the soldiers. It impaled clean through three of them as she landed on the ground and she charged forwards as she was attacked by the archers and mages. She narrowly dodged the attacks as she saw the impaled soldiers raising their weapons which surprised her as the one in the front is wielding a sword, the second and third are mages as she was impressed by their tenacity to keep going. But she focused once more as she unsheathed her sword as she sliced off the arm of the one in front as she pulled out her spear as the blood splashed on the ground as she glared at the soldiers as her spear's blade

  • Chapter 62

Lucas used a healing spell on himself as he growled at the sight of the enemies and he dashed forward, his mind now even sharper due to the attack as he ran towards the enemies with full speed. Falkor roared overhead as he glanced at his wyvern who was flying through the air and dodging the spells from the mages. 'I should kill the lot of them quickly before they become a problem. The strange magical attack, it would be problematic for me if I had to fight these bastards with another sniping me. If my focus isn't correct then I will die.' Lucas thought to himself as he ran to his enemies. He increased his speed as he ran towards the enemies as the soldiers shot their arrows and the mages attacked him as well. Three soldiers wielding swords charged at the heir which confused the latter. 'Where these three here before?' Lucas thought to himself in confusion as he looked at the charging enemies. He was pretty sure that he had taken care of all the melee soldiers and now three sol

Lucas blinked his eyes as he coughed a bit as he stood up from the wreckage of the broken trees as he took a second to process what had happened to him as he grabbed his sword. 'What just happened?' Lucas thought to himself as he recalled what had happened. He had thrown a corpse at the incoming fireballs and managed to protect himself as Falkor also helped with his own fire breath. Kriemhild himself was shocked at the attack before she was thrown away by Lucas as he saw the soldiers coming towards him as he saw her landing on the ground. After he was sure that he was safe he blocked a sword and punched the chest of the soldier as he was launched back before he ducked as a mace passed over where his head back before he kicked the man and launched him back as he quickly turned and lunged forward and stabbed the soldier in the neck. Lucas observed the army for a few moments before he joined back into the fray as he couldn't let the two girls and Falkor deal with the soldiers. By this time Kriemhild and Aslaug had already realised that something was different with the soldier and even Falkor was quite wary of them after a while. Lucas ran towards the soldiers as he felt the runes that had been drawn on his body activating as he let out a breath and attacked an archer and decapitated him before he used that guy's body to smack the ones around him as blood flew out of the neck. Only for him to be shocked as an archer grabbed the headless body and another kicked him at that moment causing him to let go of the body as he had to dodge arrows that were shot at him as he summersaulted and slammed his heel on soldier under him as he was slammed into the ground. He finished it by slamming his other foot down through the torso of the soldier, before he dashed towards the other archers. He decided to leave the mages for t
