The Meal

Shawn wondered how the sleep even came to him. He wasn't used to sleeping at home or anywhere during the daytime.

"Alright then I'll get back to finishing one of those quests" he said before a tab appeared in front of him, letting him look at the quests available.

Requirements for Upgrading - Complete Six or all of these quests.

1. Earn at least 22,000 CP - 12,900/22,000

2. Have at least eight races on your world - Currently 7/8

3. Complete at least ten quests - 6/10

4. Have two overseers from a race, your world or realm -

5. Have an evolved race -

6 Perform a specific action on your world -

7 Have one or more higher beings in your world - C

“I think that I'll go with the quest that requires me to deal with the specific action.”

He then looked at the map of the world, especially the western continent that was already small. The World was already at rank 2 so the land surrounding borders were improved.

He decided to do some modifications and a new introduction. But before he knew it. *Ding* Logging Creator out of world*

"Alright then, I still decided to take a nap so I didn't expect it to be long," Shawn said, waiting for the system to log him out.

The System logged him out of the world and he woke up to see a creeping Lucas in his room.

Clearly he was searching for his phone and Shawn smiled mischievously before closing his eyes.

Lucas after not finding his phone for a long time decided to look for it around Shawn's bed. He came closer and stretched his hand which touched the pillow that Shawn slept on.

His hand carefully reached under as he kept searching for his phone. At that moment, Shawn suddenly opened his eyes and grabbed Lucas' hand before biting it.

"Yeaoooww" Lucas screamed as the thought of his hand being bitten gave him goosebumps. Shawn after giving a mild bite to Lucas hand finally released it.

"You bit me!" Lucas complained.

"Really sneaking into my room to take back your phone, you didn't expect that I would catch you red handed" Shawn answered with a smug expression on his face.

"You were asleep so how was I supposed to know that you'll be awake so fast?" Lucas refuted.

"Of course, when was the last time that I slept in the day?" Shawn said with an as a matter of fact tone.

"Can I have my phone now that I've been caught?" Lucas pleaded.

"Hmmm let me think about it. Stay outside first" Shawn said.

"I came for my phone you can't just send me out especially after biting me. You vampire!" Lucas yelled.

"Don't forget that this is my room" Shawn reminded him with his eyebrows raised.

"I want my phone now," Lucas demanded.

"Wait outside or you'll be the one waiting for it as I'll be sitting down here for as long as you are still here"

"Then I'll just keep searching," Lucas said.

"Go ahead,"

After searching for almost 12 minutes and to no avail.

"Ughhhh. Fine" Lucas said as he walked outside the room and Shawn watched as his brother left before he stood up from his bed and walked to the door before locking it.

After all, no one wants someone so noisy and nosey to find out the secret location.

He then went to his wardrobe and took the phone from the cloth that he had kept it in for more than an hour.

He brought it out and opened the door. An exposed Lucas was seen at the door. "So can I have it now?" Lucas asked, smiling sheepishly.

"Yes" Shawn responded before he handed him his phone. Lucas took it and proceeded to a head up high thank you before turning and leaving like a noble human.

Shawn who saw this was resisting the urge to laugh at his brother's antics. He then closed the door to his room. Lucas had been peeping but unfortunately his brother knew how sneaky siblings are and covered the peep sites of the door.

Upon entering, he opened his laptop which he had placed on a desk in his room and removed from his bag after he had returned from school.

He opened the laptop and saw the available apps that were for school work. "Might as well get to work" He said as he began to open the various apps which included coding, graphics and website designing.

He got to work to finish the assignments given to him and to do a bit of revision along with some other works and test runs.

He heard the sound of the door opening and came downstairs to see who it was. He saw that it was his mum and she was dressed in a black suit and wearing a black skirt. She also held a bag with her.

Shawn by manners and respect went to help her with the bag that she carried. Stacy, who was watching TV, heard the door opening and walked to the door. "Welcome Mummy," She said.

"How was work?" She added, running to hug her mum.

"Ohh it was fine" Emily replied as she carried her daughter while Shawn took her bag for her.

Emily walked into the sitting room and sat on the couch "Shawn it's your turn to cook today"

"Oh Oh" Shawn said in his head. "Today is Wednesday. How could I have forgotten about that?"

"Mum can we...." He said before he was given a direct reply by his mom "No! Not today, I'm tired"

Stacy seemed to have noticed her brothers intention and said "Elder brother, mummy is tired so you better go and cook or else you'll be left to go to bed on an empty stomach"

“Not nice to say to your brother,” Emily reprimanded her.

Immediately watching TV from the sofa.

Shawn was not prepared for this mentally. He had just woken up and he was logged out of doing his work in Ornio. Surely he was going to be unwilling.

But his sister was right, mom was tired so he better just do it.

He smiled and then realized something

"Of course I have a younger one"

"Lucas!!!" he shouted.

"No!!" Lucas yelled as he turned his back and headed towards his room.

Unfortunately for him, a hand stretched out of nowhere and grabbed him while pulling him to a certain place.

"No No!!. Let go of me" he screamed.

"Come on bro we have work to do" Shawn declared.

"You're literally just making me work for you" Lucas whined.

"Yep. That's exactly what you're gonna do for me"

In the kitchen,

"I wonder what I should cook," He said as he held the handle of the refrigerator and opened it.

"Hmm what to cook for dinner. Lucas remember no phones in the kitchen do you want to burn the house down" he scolded.

"Yeah Yeah" Lucas said.

Shawn continued to look for ingredients to use and finally thought of something to cook.

"Since it's rainy and the weather is cold. I might as well cook soup and some other things as dad would be returning home soon"

He took the ingredients in the refrigerator and started to drop it on the counter. Lucas just stood there until Shawn said "Better get to work" he said.

"But you have not given me anything to do yet"

"Get the water boiled, there are always a lot of things to do in the kitchen" Shawn said as he still dropped some ingredients on the counter.

He took a chopping board and began to use the knife to cut the first thing that everyone can't help with. Onions.

"I better use this to cover my eyes" he said as he brought out goggles and wore them on his eyes as he began to chop the onions into smaller pieces.

Then he took the mushrooms and chopped them.

"How's the water boiling going Lucas he said"

"It's going fine," Lucas replied.

"Get the vegetables ready," he said.

Lucas came to the counter and took the vegetables on the counter and washed them before cutting them also.

Shawn reached for the fridge and brought out the chicken. He started to cut it into pieces and removed some parts which he would pour into the pot later.

"Is the water getting boiled??" he asked.

"No not yet"

"When we are done we should also prepare noodles"

"Ok" said Lucas as he continued to cut the vegetables.

Then when it was time, he took the noodles and added it into the water.

Shawn on the other hand was done with slicing the chicken and took them using the chopping board to the pot.

He poured the chicken into the pot and added salt. He then covered the pot and set his mind back to the chopping. He chopped carrots this time.

He gave the onions, mushrooms and the vegetables to Lucas to add to the broth.

After a few minutes, Lucas opened the pot to see that the foam needed to be skimmed. So after doing that, he added the onions, mushroom and garlic along with the vegetables then they waited for some time as Shawn came to add carrots into the fray
