Chapter 4: Raid the dead

" Ssskkkk....".

The voice of leaves rustling at each other filled the whole place, making the two distracted at the same place.

The two people walked in the same direction where the tree trunk was located. Alex simply had his voice down as he didn't want to die in the first stage.

One rushed to the tree trunk, his eyes widened in shock when he saw the following scene. He seemed amused yet crazily shocked...

" Hey! come over here, see what I have found here ".

" Huh? what's there to make you feel this thrilled huh? ".

The second one came to him and looked in the exact direction that the first guy was seeing.

Even....he became shocked when he saw the following scene.

They both saw a certain guy hiding behind the tree trunk. " Woh! I had no idea that even a fox is scared of us ".

Yes, it was a fox in the exact place where Alex was hiding earlier.

But...where did the fox come from? and where did Alex disappear to?

Both guys were amused to see the fox appear in front of them. Even though an open-ground dungeon was placed inside the forest and many fiery animals were in there.

But no one ever saw the sly fox appearing in front of anyone before. Foxes were cunning and sly animals and refused to come out and appear in front of the human race. So it was quite amusing to see one standing in front of them and the calm one at most.

" Grrrrrr....".

the fox glared at them with his fiery eyes and didn't want to be disturbed at most.

" Pfft! what can such a silly and small animal do to us ", They laugh seeing the fox acting all like an alpha when at most it can be a little chicken hiding away in the dark.

" Hey! should we just kill it? ".

" Yeah! why not...it's a great source of food ".

In that conversation of two sentences from both, they directly shot the fox in the stomach.

The fox fell to the ground. They both pick it up and left immediately.

Now that they left? where was Alex? was he hiding somewhere?

The guess was right.

" Good grief they left ", Alex patted his chest twice as he took a sigh of relief seeing he was not the one who died.

Alex was lucky to have found a small hole made by wild animals inside the ground which was attracted to the tree trunk. The tree was in the right location and he was able to fit in without anyone noticing it.

A while earlier...

" Ohh God...oh God...save me please ", He prayed to God but then heard some noises from the side.

He looked that way and saw something strange.

" A hole? ".

He crawls over there and then hides perfectly in the hole. It was a little hustle but he took advantage of the noise and hid and even got all the lives to fill the empty spots.

He was really lucky this time that the fix arrived at his place earlier and saved him. Or else, he would have gotten into big trouble and already lost his life.

The firing was still going on outside and the voice filled his mind. He came out of the hole and dusted off his clothes.

He was scared earlier, and thought it was his end already but was lucky enough.

Even though one crisis was passed. But he can't guarantee he will be alive until the time finishes.

Seeing that no one was around, he simply started to walk in the direction the three dead bodies were laying down unconsciously.

The blood smell was so strong that it was making his nose itchy. He really couldn't stand the stench of blood.

He walked to the dead bodies and closed his eyes in disgust.

He was feeling sick in the stomach even only seeing the blood splatter aground.

He slowly opened his eyes as he took a step forward. No matter how disgusted he was with the stench of blood. But no one could deny the fact that the two were professional killers...

The three bodies were laying on the ground in sync, the order was perfect and no other body part was damaged rather than the head.

" Rest in peace ".

He prayed to God to show mercy to the three and take them in his grace as he kneels in front of the dead bodies.

He looked around. And had no intention to do anything dangerous blindly without checking around...

His atmosphere was specious after all.

" I am sorry that I am going to check you all, but I don't have a choice ", He murmured softly and placed his hand on the stomach of the first guy.

What he was doing here even after knowing the outsider's world was dangerous was very clear, he was...Obviously...looking for any item or anything he could find on these guys.

He took a deep breath. The scene where the three got shot in the head was still playing in his head in slow motion on repeated more and he was unable to forget it.

He started checking the first guy from head to toe and all his actions were careful and moderate.

He was looking for stuff and equipment on his body.

A faint smile appeared on his lips when he turned the corpse to the side and saw the normal size backpack hanging on his back.

It was a survival game where one had to kill others to survive and raid the people and people as much as they could.

He took out the bag from his back. The bag was a normal one with three pockets. Two big pockets and small to keep necessary and important small stuff like money and ornaments...

He won't consider himself lucky but it was not that bad either.

He opened the first chain and started searching the bag carefully.

He had played many survival games before and was well known for the equipment and world knowledge that every player knows.

So he was having quite a lot of expectations from the bag and what he could find inside.

But...

Unfortunately, he was disappointed...

" Huh? Cigarette? ".

As expected, this thing was useless and had no use for him.

He was disappointed to get the cigarette from the bag. Then take a look at the man who was dead in front of him. The guy was barely eighteen or seventeen again but was already consuming such unhealthy stuff.

But he didn't give a damn about it as there was no need for him to interfere with anything regarding others.

He started searching again. And this time...he found something else and the system presented the information in front of him again.

Type: Use in cutting the nails

Rarity: Can be found easily on the market

Attack: None

Affect: Powerful against fingernails, weak in fighting...

Alec was amazed to find those useless things. I didn't expect to find something like this in the backpack.

He continued searching until he didn't find anything. But only to be rejected.

The bag only had useless things inside. There was not even a single thing in the backpack which could be of any use to him.

Looking at the condition of the guys then, he understood one thing.

Even if the boys had nothing on him. But there should be any weapon on him which might be used by him to protect himself.

He threw out all the stuff from the bag and only kept the Nail Cutter and started to search his body again.

To him, it didn't matter what tool or equipment was found on him, but even the smallest Dagger was important to him.

" Please...please, just be anything ".

When he started searching his upper half, he found nothing worth...not even a waste on him. But once he started checking his lower body, he sensed something in his pockets.

His hands gradually started to search for anything he could. And in the end...he finally found a mini gun in his pocket.

To be honest, he had no time to read over the imprinting which appeared in front of him as it was the battlefield for everyone and all the players.

He didn't care to read anything because of the urgency and started looking and searching for anything he could get from them.

He took everything from the three bodies that he found even the slightest of use inside the bag.

At last, he rose and looked at the three bodies. Earlier, he couldn't even look at the dead bodies and the same scene was playing at the moment as well...but he didn't dare to look at their faces which were stained with blood.

" Rest in peace...".

With that sentence, he walked away from the dead bodies...
