Chapter 5: The Sunray Cave

His skills were too weak. No, saying he had no skills, to begin with, and saying he was useless was the best statement for him. He was useless in this time and period given his experience and the time he spent in this world.

The outsider world was dangerous for him to venture around. But getting some true life-war experiences was also important.

There were still 23 hours left before the end of the first mission.

And the rewards, his system reward page was all blank, not a single digit of points was there for him to spend on anything to acquire any new skill.

Currently, he saw a big cave in front of him.

He was walking for the last fifteen minutes and only they found this place. The mouth of the cave was big and there seemed to be no one around.

It took him quite some time to find this place, he took the risk to save his own life was important. This place was located on stipend hill...

It rained, and the sound around the cave was all watery and wet...

He gulped his saliva and took a step inside. Even though he was unarmed and only had Dagger on his body at the moment.

There were big fat chances that something useful and golden skilled could be found on the bag packs he just raided from the dead people earlier.

He walked inside the cave, the layout of the cave was too simple at the start as he continued to walk. But then...the cave started to broaden the more the walks inside and apparently, many twists and turns could be seen inside...

And what was more strange was, the cave was getting brighter and bright as if it was the home of some creature...

Alex felt the pain in his head due to the sudden exposure to so much light as his eyes were blinded a bit. But he soon recovered from it and walked further inside...

Not knowing which route to take...he stopped at some point.

" There are many routes inside and the layout inside is getting more and more relaxed, what's with this cave? ", He asked himself a question as it was a concerning matter to him.

No cave or hideous place could be this brighter and able to give off a positive feeling, so what's this sudden change the more he walks deep inside the cave?

" Can I...should I just leave? ", He asked himself again as his heart was feeling quite strange.

Just when he was about to take some serious measurements, the system notice appeared in front of his eyes.

" Name: Sunray Cave...".

" Use: A perfect hideout, can let the creature stay at peace ".

" Can make the player complete the task successfully: Uncertain ".

This information was the only information that the system was able to collect. But it gave Alec a sense of security to know that this place was not as dangerous as he thought since the system itself was giving the information out.

" Hey, system! can I ask you something ".

Alec was certain that his system was different from others. After all, he logged into the game as both the player character and the developer.

So he was wondering if his system was different from everyone's as he even had a rare skill that no one might know.

" Hey! I can sense that you can understand me...just come out already ".

He shouted knowing how sneaky his system was. The system was giving him hints again and again so it was weird to not think the system has its mind.

No matter how many times Alex calls out from the sneaky AI system but it gives him no hint of its existence.

" Guess I should only think about myself ".

He ruffled his hair as if it was a waste of time to call out a dead person who already existed from this world.

He wanted to leave.

But how...

There were so many routes in front of him, and all were giving him a strange feeling.

He then picked up a small stone from the ground which was different and unique from all stones, closed his eyes, and threw the stone on the ground as he circled for a bit.

" I will choose the way that the stone decides for me ", He murmured and then opened his eyes slowly.

He looked around and found the stone laying in the third cave hole.

" Then it is ", He picked up the red stone and moved ahead inside the sub cave which the stone chose for him.

While walking inside, his eyes were always wandering around, looking for his surroundings, so that he would not get attacked by any stranger behind his back.

And...he was simply amused by the structure of the cave and everything inside.

Strangely speaking, he was not the one who was in charge to create and build caves and secret paths inside the game, so he was a little unfamiliar as not all the preparations were done in front of his eyes.

" Simply speaking, creating caves and secret caves was assigned to Suli ".

He remembered that Suli was the one who was responsible for the cave's structure and design.

As expected, the girl in his team was bright in personality and a mood changer, how can he expect her to make something horrible and scary?

He just simply chuckled and started walking inside.

He walked inside for like ten minutes and then stopped when he realised he was far enough from the war going on outside and stop.

The cave was simply not just a cave as it was very beautiful from the inside, even the structure of the hiding places inside was amazing. Despite being the cave, it was no less than any luxurious heaven cave...had many stones inside which were enough to hide anyone and even the risk was not that much.

He eventually stopped and sat down. Only now it was that he remembered to take a full breath and relax.

He had seen so much today only after entering for less than an hour and didn't know what was still there to come to him.

" I have to prepare myself well ", Said he as he took off all three bags from his back and paced in front of him.

He rubbed his hands together as if he was getting ready to raid something interesting. " Let's see what I have acquired ".

the first bag was useless since he had already checked and searched before but found nothing important.

He grabbed the second one, the bag had only two chains and cabins. No small pocket was attacked, he unzipped the bitter one and threw his hand inside to see what was there for him inside.

" Ohh! what's this ", He grabbed something and took it out.

It was something that had two soft wires and a pin at the end, not to mention the wire became one once it reached the end.

Alex was simply baffled and confused. " What is this modern stuff doing in this world? ". It was out of his mind that strange things were happening in this world.

The world he created, shouldn't have this modern stuff like cellphones and Earplugs. But if Earplugs...then there would be other advanced stuff as well.

Allen was responsible for many things when they were still at the earlier stage but they decided to work with each other to not let anything cross.

Just like Earplugs, he found many things in the bags like juice cans which were emptied, food wrappers...

He reached out his hand in the bag again and this time, all his hand grabbed was some papers and tissues.

Just like that, all he got from those bags were only useless stuff and nothing could be used in battles. His hopes were crushed hardly that it was almost impossible to get his hope up again.

" Seriously, even after taking all the stuff from them, I didn't find anything edible ".

Yes, his biggest concern...food.

He was going to get hungry soon but all he got inside the bags were only empty snack wrappers and empty water bottles.

But then....having something was better than nothing. He had to learn to be grateful for everything he had.

Even though the food was a problem. He has a small Dagger on him and that mini gun which was enough to kill at least two people.

He was disappointed to not find anything extra useful. But was blessed as well to get many scraps which could help him greatly in the future.
