Luc's head lifted with both eyes sparkling, Lekston's subsidiary alone looked so magnificent and this could be said to be one of the skyscraper companies in this country. Luc still found it hard to believe that he was the main heir to all the Lekston family assets, it was really like a dream come true.

Luc stepped into the company, he didn't care about everyone's cynical gazes, yes Luc was wearing simple clothes with stitches in several parts, this was the best clothes Luc had. The elevator door was already open, when Luc was about to enter the elevator suddenly three people stopped his intention.

Luc didn't expect that he would meet Ruby, Zerin and also Lian, the man who liked Zerin. The three people looked at him with different expressions.

"Why are you here Luc?" asked Ruby.

"I have business with one of the people at the Lekston company," said Luc answering honestly.

"Hahaha! Do you think we will believe what you say! How could a useless person like you have a friend who works in this company,” Zerin cursed for no apparent reason, she was always like that, belittling and insulting Luc at every opportunity.

Luc looked around, the workers who happened to pass by this hallway looked at him with contempt, as if he was useless trash and could be thrown away just like that.

“Zerin, watch your words, everyone is watching us,” Ruby scolded her sister.

“Just let them know who he really is, he’s just a useless son-in-law of the Lekston family,” Lian said, joining in.

Lian deliberately spoke loudly to attract more people’s attention, she wanted to show Zerin that she was better than Luc, that loser.

“Luc, I agree with you,” Zerin said and proudly held Lian’s arm.

“Luc, let’s go home,” Ruby said with a straight face.

Luc was still silent and didn’t move from his current position, it made Zelin and Lian feel annoyed. Meanwhile, Ruby could only sigh when she saw Luc’s attitude who still insisted on staying.

“Ruby, how about the business negotiation?” Luc asked with one eyebrow raised.

“I got the cooperation,” Ruby said with a happy smile. “I really never expected that the leader of this company would approve the cooperation proposal that I showed, he even told me to come back tomorrow to sign the cooperation agreement,” Ruby continued with a happy smile.

“You really deserve the cooperation,” Luc said with a big smile. The next second Luc’s smile began to disappear when he heard Zerin’s words.

“If it weren’t for Lian’s father’s help, Ruby would never have gotten the cooperation,” Zerin said while smiling at Lian.

Luc stared sharply at Lian before speaking. “Is what Zerin just said true?” Luc asked seriously.

Lian swallowed his own saliva, for some reason he felt that Luc knew something so he gave him that sharp look, but Lian tried to dismiss what was in his mind, a useless man like Luc wouldn’t know the lie he was hiding from Zerin and also Ruby.

“Of course, my father knows some important people in this company, but I can’t mention their names because it’s confidential.” Lian tried to act as casually as possible to cover up her lie.

Zerin invited Lian to accompany Ruby to the Lekston company. When she found out that Ruby got the cooperation, Lian casually said that it was all because of her father’s help. Zerin and Ruby immediately believed it.

“Ruby, you should just divorce this lowly loser, he can never do anything but clean the house.” Zerin laughed contemptuously after speaking.

“Zerin, stop talking or I’ll be mad at you,” Ruby reprimanded with her eyes already fully rounded.

Zerin bit her lip angrily, but she didn’t want to prolong the problem so she chose to remain silent and give in.

“Come home with me, Luc! Don’t pretend to have friends in this company, no one will believe you,” Ruby said while looking at her husband.

“You don’t believe me, Ruby?” Luc asked while looking at his wife’s beautiful face.

“Luc, stop testing my patience! Don’t embarrass me any more than this, let’s go home now and don’t argue.” Ruby who had run out of patience seeing Luc’s attitude spoke out loud.

“That woman is too beautiful to be the wife of a loser like her.”

“If I were that woman then I would divorce a useless husband like her.”

“What a shameless man, it’s only right that he’s been called a useless son-in-law by the Crowwel family.”

One by one the workers openly insulted Luc. But Luc could only remain silent, accepting all the insults as usual.

Zerin and Lian smiled with satisfaction when they saw Luc being humiliated in public.

The atmosphere that was previously lively suddenly turned quiet when a beautiful woman came out of the elevator. Everyone bowed to her, she was Kerin, Mr. Alan's trusted assistant.

"Miss Kerin, do you have something to discuss with me?" Lian asked confidently when she realized Kerin was walking towards her.

Lian's eyes widened when she realized Kerin had just passed her, the woman didn't even look at her at all. Lian turned her head and watched Kerin bow her body politely in front of Luc.

"Mr. Luciver, I was sent by Mr. Alan to pick you up." Kerin spoke with her head bowed as if to show how much she respected the man in front of her now.

Some people dropped their jaws in shock at what they had just heard, while others rubbed their eyes for fear of seeing things wrong. Those who had belittled Luc finally fell silent after seeing how Kerin treated the man they had insulted so politely and respectfully.

"Let's meet him now." Luc spoke with a straight face.

Luc stared at Lian with one of his smirks. Lian clenched both fists in anger, Lian felt humiliated by a useless trash like Luc.

"Please, Mr. Luciver, go first." Everyone gulped seeing this.

Kerin invited Luc to enter the elevator first, making Zerin, Ruby and Lian look at each other in confusion.
