The clone’s finger pressed against the trigger. Helena didn’t run, Didn’t plead. She simply stared, unblinking, at the thing wearing her son’s face.

“Do it,” she said coldly.

He hesitated, A microsecond, A flicker And that’s when the shot rang out But not from him.

The Real Shot

From the adjacent rooftop, a sniper embedded by Lucas weeks earlier fired clean through the clone’s shoulder. He collapsed with a guttural cry, the gun spiraling from his hand. Helena didn’t waste time, She kicked the weapon off the terrace edge and pressed her heel into the clone’s wound.

“You bleed like him,” she hissed. “But you’re not him.”

Security swarmed seconds later But the clone just smiled through the pain.

“You’re already too late.”
