Arden shivered in fright at the sight of the gigantic snake but at the same time, he wondered if it was the same snake he saw in the mural previously because the giant snake was golden in color and also had a horn in the center of it's head which made it resemble a dragon. Very much like the one in the murals.

"Get back" Arden said to Evnor as he pulled her behind him while pointing the serpent suppression pole at it, he had a terrible feeling that this very snake was the poisonous serpent king which the system had warned him about.

"sssssss!" The giant serpent's eye condescendingly glared at Arden, it suddenly hissed, a powerful presence which shook the whole underground system surged out of it's body.

The mere sight of it's presence nearly made Arden and Evnor into a kneeling position. Both of them gritted their teeth and exerted all the strength and energy in their body to remain standing.

Upon seeing that the two ants dared to resist its might, the poisonous serpemt king hissed once more and exerted a little more of it's mighty presence to suppress them.

Immediately, both Arden and Evnor felt the pressure on their person's increasing drastically, though they continued pushing their strengths to resist, their knees slowly bent.

"crack" Evnor's knee bone creaked and her body lost balance, she collapsed unto the floor and a blue beam of light from the Snake Kings eyes fired into her forehead causing her to lost consciousness.

The same beam was fired towards arden's forehead however, the serpent suppression pillar suddenly hummed as if awakening from dormancy and immediately absorb the blue beam of light.

"hisssss!" The serpent king hissed in displeasure upon realizing that it's attack had been absorbed by the serpent suppression pole, it felt challenged, how can a random weapon absorb it's mighty attack?

It's spread its jaws and gulped down to swallow Arden who trembled in fright.

Despite his fear though, Arden didn't forget to continue pointing the serpent suppression pole at it.

"Rumble!" Just when the poisonous serpent king was inches away from the serpent suppression pole, a powerful surpressive presence which had been dormant for eaons suddenly awakened and exuded out of the pole.

The suppression force from the serpent suppression pole suddenly exploded out and enveloped the serpent king, making it's movement pause.

"I can't move my body, How the hell is this happening!!!" A thunderous voice exploded out from the mouth of the seemingly noncommunicating poisonous serpent king, surprising Arden.

"You can actually speak!" Arden exclaimed in the high of his shock.

"Brat, what is that thing, how can it suppress this king!"

"hehe, soo you really can't move?" instead of answering the poisonous serpent king, Arden asked in confirmation.

"You little piece of shit, how dare you ignore my question, do you believe that this king will squash you do death!" The poisonous serpent king exclaimed.He was frustrated by the fact that a mere ant dared to disrespect it simply because it had a weapon which can suppressed him.

"Why don't you just give it a try" Arden said but inwardly, he was shivering in fear, though he appeared calm and unafraid, he was almost pissing in his pants due to the fear of the poisonous serpent king who the system had warned him about.

"What, you dare disrespect me!" the poisonous serpent king was furious, he madly wanted to get a hold of this ant and slowly torture him to death for it's transgressions.

A tremendous cluster of Astro energy surged out from the poisonous serpent king which made the whole underground system tremble dangerously, Arden felt a shiver running down his spine, at this moment, even space seemed to warp from the outburst of Astro energy.

Fortunately for Arden, despite its struggle, the poisonous serpent king didn't prevail to move even an inch closer, instead, it felt the surppressive force tightening over its scales.

Seeing that it couldn't break out of the grasp of the serpent suppression pole no matter what, the poisonous serpent king was indigent "Damn it, put away that piece of shit and see if this King dosn't obliterate you!"

This time, Arden went silent and didn't provoke the poisonous serpent king any further but he refused to withdraw the serpent suppression pole no matter what it said.

After shouting threats one after the other only to be ignored by the resolute Arden who refused to relent no matter the case, the poisonous serpent king finally calm down and let out a sigh.

"Sigh, After you killed my minions, I acknowledged your strength and wanted to knock you both unconscious and leave an imprint in your body to manipulate you to do my bidding but who knew that an ant like you would be able to push me into a deadluck where neither you or I could do anything to the other party."

"So you weren't planning on killing us" Arden asked. Surprised by what he just heard, didn't it attempt to swallow him whole just few minutes ago?

"Not really, of course, for barging into my layer and killing off the minions I created and raised with my royal blood you very much deserve death but you guys are more important to me alive than dead"

"why is that?" Arden mumbled.

"I need to be free, I have been trapped in this damn place for five hundred years because of Crui Rughk, Even if this king has to chase him into the roots of hell, I will surely hunt him down and have my revenge"

"Who's crui rughk?" Arden couldn't help but ask, his interest was picked by the intense hatred and resentment which flashed in the poisonous serpent king's eyes.

"My arch enemy, he's the Vacticion demon Emperor of Vacticion demon Clan, This king is known as Evshelf, In the moment of my prime, I was feared by all powerful clans but I let down my guard and let a sinister and cunnig person like him cheat me, I'll make sure he pays, I'll never let him off, never!"

At this moment, Arden had a puzzled look on his face as he gazed at Evshelf, he wondered just what happened between him and his enemy but he stop

"Hay kid, why don't we make a deal" After his ranting, Evshelf suddenly turned towards Arden.

"What kind of deal do you want to make?"

"you are going to help me out of here but in return, this king will assist you and help you rise to the apex of Astro world"

"I disagree, you must be lying" Arden muttered flatly. There's no way he'll believe that someone who had been imprisoned and trapped here can help him become the strongest in the world.

"you bastard, have you gone insane, how dare you say that this king is lying" Evshelf directed a fierce glare at Arden.

Arden quickly pointed the serpent suppression pole at it, looking quiet alarmed.

"mmhhh!, keep on parading that worthless pole, even with it, do you think that this king can't do anything to you?"

"you've got it all wrong brat, this king has reached the peak of Steller Vanguard and can survive for more than a thousand years without eating or drinking i can just keep standing here and gazing at you pointing that thing at me for a hundred years but I wonder if your life span can last that long, or if you'll be able to preserve without eating or drinking." Evshelf nearly smirked at the end of his statement.

Listening to Evshelf, Arden's face slowly darkened, he never expected this self presumed king to be so shameless but at the same time, he realized that he had no choice but to make a deal with Evshelf because he couldn't possibly persevere in this battle of attrition.

"I'll agree to make a deal with you but I have questions and a condition" Arden finally came to a consensus after mulling it over for some time.

"what do you want to know boy?" Evshelf asked excitedly.

"Explain to me how, exactly I can help you out of here" Arden mumbled.

"It's simple, you and I need to sign a body soul binding contract that will last 30 years which will allow this king to dwell in your body and soul for thirty years, and share the same life and death, don't worry this king wil offer you assistance so you don't die and kill us both"

"isn't that the same as you possessing me?"

"No it's not the same, I can only dwell within your body and offer little assistance when needed, other than that I can't forcefully take control or that will be a violation to the contract, if this king violates the contract, this king will perish both in body and soul "

"ok I get it now but can we not do it that way, I am not comfortable having to hear that such a large creature will enter my body, will I even be fine if that happens?"

"oh,you'll be fine, don't go on wasting time spouting more nonsense, do you even have much of a choice?"

Arden sighed upon hearing this, at the end of the day, he really didn't have much of a choice as he will be the one to die from hunger if the deadluck were to continue.

"my condition is that you won't harm me in anyway possible after I help you, even after the contract has been exhausted" Arden concluded after a long thought.

"As you wish brat, this king always keep to his words" Evshelf said as he bit himself and released a splash of golden blood which painted the platform.

"Draw out your own blood on the floor" Evshelf told Arden and the latter did just that by cutting his palm with the lazoniun swift blade.

After that Evshelf brought his head closer to Arden and said "say what ever I say to complete the contract"

The moment in which both of them finished this vow and voiced out the name of the other party, the blood sprayed on the platform began to glow and merge together.

As this happened, both Arden and Evshelf felt an inexplicable connection between one another which was slowly strengthening.

Right after the glowing blood of Arden and Evshelf finished combining, it split into two parts which laded in Arden's and Evshelfes brows simultaneously.

"Human, you better take good care of our body and not die otherwise, this king will not forgive you if I die because of you!"

The moment in which this happened, Evshelf suddenly shrank and transformed into a ball of golden light which enveloped and finally absorbed disappeared into Arden's body.
