"Oh, look who we have here? A bunch of crying babies! Just to add to the mix, I can't remember the last time I cried, unlike some people." Words with a slight hint of mockery echoed through the cave.
"Get out," Barry said, his voice slightly hoarse.
"Why? I helped you build this place, so I can be here as much as I want," a thin voice answered, gradually becoming more cheerful, as if she enjoyed answering them.
"No! You can't be here!" Jesse's voice was no longer cheerful. "You..." he whispered his next words. "You're a money for sex!" he said with a mock seriousness that had a hint of hesitation in it, as if he really knew what those words meant and that wasn't hidden from the other person.
"A money for sex? Heh heh heh... Do you even know what that word means, kid?" The sweetness in the thin voice was completely evident.
"Yeah!" Jesse said seriously, but after a moment of silence, he continued. "N...no. Can you tell me what it means? My father just said I shouldn't hang out with people like that....Can you teach me what it means so I can throw you out?" Jesse requested in an embarrassed voice.
"Hahaha! You want me to teach you what it means so you can throw me out? Ha ha ha. Don't you want anything else?" A thin, high-pitched voice laughed loudly.
"No. Thank you for asking." Jesse replied with all the politeness he had learned up to that moment, making the laughter escape from the mouths of his other friends.
"Thanks for making me laugh. I really needed it. Come on, these are for you." The thin voice came to her senses after laughing for a while and made an offer to Jesse with words that didn't have the weight they had before.
Hearing this offer, Darius quickly turned and looked at them.
There she was, standing—the one who always came to them. The familiar stranger was about the same height as Jesse, with her red hair free of any stains, which made her face stand out even more. She had black eyes that were always in an endless battle with her white face, making the sharpness of her nose and pouty lips less impressive. In front of Darius and his friends, a girl of the opposite sex, extremely rare in their city, stood, holding out her hand and offering Jesse a piece of dry bread.
"N...no!" Jesse screamed in fear, trying to hide the growling of his hungry stomach so that even he himself couldn’t hear it
"Enough. None of us want this food. When are you going to understand?" Chao's angry scream echoed through their hideout as he stood up and walked angrily towards the girl, whose hands were shaking from weakness and clenched into fists, indicating that he wanted to force her out of their hideout this time, even if it was by force.
"We've told you a thousand times, we don't want food from selling your body! We have a father, and he taught us not to accept food from selling your body!! No! We don't want it!" Barry shouted too, but the tremors in his weak legs didn't allow him to get up quickly and forced him to just shout in anger.
The girl still had a smile on her lips; these acts had happened hundreds of times, in hundreds of different ways, but always ended the same way, and it was clear in every single one of the eyes of those who were there.
"Okay! Enough! It happens every time! Barry, she does this because she has no father! Chao, she does this on purpose to force you to react. How many times have I told you this? She knows that even if she gives Jesse a small piece, we will never speak to her again." Tired of repeating himself, Darius said and returned to the softness of his lump once again.
"Tch. You have to ruin our happiness, Darius." The girl said and hid the dry bread in her torn robe.
"Shut up, Elena," Darius said and closed his eyes, but, upon hearing Elena's next words, a bolt of lightning went through his head.
"Okay, I'll shut up. I'll shut up, and I won't say that a new temple has been founded and that many nuns our age are playing in the courtyard and planting plants. I'll shut up, and I won't say that I know where they are!" Full of mischief, her words, one after another, sent a jolt of electricity through the boys' heads.
"What! Real girls!!!?" Jesse shouted and stood up on his feet with his hands still pressed against his stomach.
"Ouch. I'm a girl too. You know?" Elena said, a little hurt.
"Real pure girls, not you!" Chao said, still a little angry from what had happened earlier. His words made Elena’s red eyebrows twitch, and that was enough to calm her anger.
"Okay, now that it's done. I'm not taking Chao. I'll leave him here to only see dirty girls." Elena said with a frown that made Chao's face turn extremely pale.
"No! Pure angel, have mercy on this servant of yours!" Chao quickly bent down and apologized loudly.
"Hmm. Okay! This angel of purity accepts." Elena said, feeling a shadow behind her and turning.
"Oh, Barry. Do you have something to tell me? Maybe an apology for your earlier yelling?" Filled with mischief, Elena lifted her chin slightly to meet Barry's eye and tossed the words from her mouth to Barry, who was sweating with shame.
After a moment of thought, Barry said hesitantly, "Ummm...umm...Excuse me, Queen of Purness?"
"Hmmm. Queen of Purness has a good ring to it. Okay, I forgive you, let's go!" Elena said and walked out of the cave with steps that were more energetic than any of them.
"O servants of Queen of Purness! Follow her luminous footsteps!" Jesse raised his voice and ordered like a faithful follower!
"Yes, sir!"
"What inspiring words!"
Two other followers shouted with excitement and, with their hands pressed against their stomachs, followed the Pureness Queen with a strange eagerness.
When they reached the cave exit, Elena glanced back for a moment and said, "You don't want to come, Darius?"
Darius, stunned by his friends' behavior and surprised by the good treatment they had shown Elena for the first time, was frozen in place. However, upon hearing Elena's voice, he quickly came to his senses and, with his hands on his stomach, followed the Pure Queen's army of servants.
"Ha ha ha! Our pure girls are here! Let us see you!!!" Jesse whispered excitedly and followed Elena.
For the first time in their lives, they were going to see a girl who was not dirty, not hungry, and not sad!
Their entire being was filled with excitement, and neither of them knew what to do with this feeling, so they just transferred that feeling to their feet and followed Elena, setting only one goal in their minds.
To see happiness, even if for a second!
They were walking in a place they had passed by thousands of times before, but this time it was different. It was still dirty, and the ground was made of cement, but there were no more mountains of trash; it seemed that finally a corporation had kept its word and started cleaning up the mountains of garbage, even if it was around their new temple.
These temples and gods were nothing new in the Darak region. Every few months, followers of a new god would come here to guide the people. By building a temple in two or three days, they would begin to spread their thoughts and beliefs.
A process that sometimes didn't even take weeks, and after they've received enough of what they want from the people here, they abandon the temples. Temples that, just like the number of days they were built, would be destroyed in a matter of days in their absence, adding a mountain to the mountains of garbage there.
Their fathers had always warned them never to receive anything from the followers of the gods, because in addition to the fact that no good comes without a cost, most of the gods who live in the light are actually evil gods who have hidden themselves in shells of good deeds. Gods who would steal even a piece of their followers' wishes with the smallest gift!
Recalling such knowledge, a cold shiver ran through Darius' body. Wishes that strengthen the foundation of their lives, wishes that fulfill the brightest dreams of their owners and guide them to a world full of hope and joy. Of course, all of this was true for people outside their region, or was this also a lie alongside the lies of the holy screen?
Darius had been lost in the sight of the holy screen for as long as he could remember, immersing himself in the beauty of the wishes that image spoke of, but since the time that happened to the owner of that soft, empty mass and saw what calamities those who wish early can bring upon them, he was no longer sure that such beautiful dreams could be made possible at all.
From afar, on land that had no trash on its ground, a large structure gradually appeared—an extremely large structure consisting of a vast white dome and several blue towers that surrounded it.
Amidst the excited and surprised oohs and ahs of his friends, Darius continued his thoughts.
According to the teachings of the Holy Screen, wishes are divided into two categories.
First, there are wishes that are fulfilled in the moment, such as great wealth, youth again if you hold on to your wish for a long time, or a wish to find your lost half.
Of course, according to the warnings of the Holy Screen, such wishes most of the time did not have good results at all.
If you are extremely poor one moment and the next moment you gain several gold coins because of your wish, you will soon lose your wealth and, in most cases, your life too. This happens because you did not have the power to protect your wealth or because you did not know how to use it.
Or, if you wish to find your lost half, you might receive a compass—something Darius didn't know much about—that would guide you to your partner. But your partner might be on the other side of the universe or from another race, races that Darius didn't know about except for demons, about whom the Holy Screen had repeatedly warned.
In any case, the first type of wishes didn't always come true, and most of the time they ended up with major setbacks that destroy the soul and body of the wisher!!! This happens to those who ignore the greatest law of wishing. Be careful what you wish for!!!
In contrast to wishes that come true in an instant, there are wishes of the second type—wishes that give you a seed instead of the full fruit, which you must cultivate through your own strength and effort!
It was not known who first made such wishes, but the human race copied the greatest feature of the higher races of existence and developed a structured system for the second type of wish that had been refined over millions of years.
Those who make the second type of wish connect themselves to an ancient being, which the Holy Screen mentioned may have been present at the beginning of creation, in order to cultivate the second type of wish with its help. A being whose traces are present even in the earliest records of humanity acquiring the ability to wish!
Those who make the second type of wish always have a structure. In their wishes, they give news of the future—a future that may or may not happen. In any case, they make this wish, and the ancient being categorizes their wishes and shows them the best and most optimal way. This is then added to their existence in the form of a specific class.
For example, if someone wishes for wealth in the future, they will get the merchant class, or if someone wishes for endless power, they will be given classes such as knight, archer, swordsman, etc., based on the roots of their thoughts, and a new class will be added to them every day, according to the words of the Holy Screen. Classes that no one, not even the gods, can change!
Because this violates the most important law of wishing. Be careful what you wish for!
This is the fact that kills a group of type-two wish-makers or has them killed. A group of type-two wish-makers, people who have targeted the future, make strange and unstructured wishes that the ancient being cannot classify and gives them a class with the highest chance of death.
The Dreamer class. A class that has no framework and, due to its lack of basic power, kills almost all those who want to progress in it.
On the other hand, the other classes, at the beginning of their careers, according to information that the Holy Screen keeps confidential, acquire skills that reduce their probability of death to zero!
(So whatever wish you make, don't be a dreamer at all.) Darius came to the same conclusion for the thousandth time, after repeating these thoughts a thousand times.
The conclusion didn't matter, because he and his friends were not going to become adventurers, the same as type two wish-makers, at all. They were going to take over their father's job and, after selling their wish to the factory, give their fathers the retirement they had been waiting for so long.
The devil you know is much better than the devil you don't know. All the teachings of the Holy Screen were for those who had even the slightest skill in fighting and had bodies capable of even lifting a weapon, not Darius and his friends who had never even touched a weapon before.
So yeah, they would sell their desires to the factory and finally pay off their fathers' relentless efforts. Just like Balak...even if it killed them bit by bit from the inside.
Darius's thoughts were turning dark when the sound of his friends' astonished oohs tore through his train of thought.
"Oh, look at how white and clean its walls are! If its girls are even a little like its walls, I'll die of joy! I warn you, let me die of joy! Ha ha ha," Jesse, who had even forgotten his hunger, shouted with uncontrollable joy and followed the pureness queen while his two laughing soldiers stopped him from running with their hands on his shoulders.
Darius smiled; even if he sold his soul to the factory, he would have his friends forever.
"Let's go!" Darius shouted happily, and slightly pushed Elena.
"Hurry! Hurry! Show us." Darius insisted.
"Hehehehe, okay, okay. I found a piece of unfinished wall where you can see the inside of the temple very well. Come follow me." Elena laughed and ran along the white wall that surrounded the entire temple, four times Darius's height, and the others followed with excited steps.
The hope of seeing happiness even silenced the growling of their hungry bellies.

Like a thorn in a big and beautiful flower bush, that clean boy who emerged from the temple gate caught the eye of every sneaky onlooker, drawing an envious reaction from someone."What's that boy doing there!? Wow, I'm so jealous of him." Jesse shared his feelings with his friends in a whisper."Where??" Chao raised his voice slightly, his jealousy quickly turning into silent anger, and his gaze shifted from joy to a frantic search. "Oh, I saw him! Look at him! He looks strong even from this distance. I can promise he's never been hungry for a moment in his happy life." The words came out like curses, effortless and bitter."Oh, I saw him too. What a handsome boy." Elena added, her silent anger adding fuel to the others' jealousy."Shut up, Elena." The three friends said together; even Jesse glared at her."What does he have that we don't?" Barry asked. The rest of his friends' gazes followed suit."Maybe that yellow-haired guy is very valuable," Jesse commented."No, he must be tall
Chapter 4
It was truly sweet, like the taste of true life. With their hands under their chins and their bodies all stretched out on the ground, they were all staring, everything else in their lives forgotten.Happiness was truly beautiful. In front of them, on the border that separated heaven and hell, flowed a small stream of the clearest water they had ever seen. Around them, girls in robes of a slightly familiar color were playing. Some had their feet in the water, enjoying the sun that had become kind to them.Others, with pure and melodic laughter that caressed the boys' hearts and souls, filled their thin hands with water—hands not thin from hunger—and threw it at each other, chasing each other with enthusiasm to win a game that had no losers. Some of them, in a corner, had spread a cloth that was not dirty at all, not torn at all, and not at all patched or frayed on the intensely green ground, which Elena called grass. They were whispering to each other and laughing softly as they were p

Chapter 2
A day just like today, a year ago.A day like every other: after receiving their morning rations, they hurriedly ate and rushed to their hideout. But today was different. Important news was supposed to reach them. Their absent friend, who had not been with them that morning, had promised them that.It didn't take long for them to reach their hideout, and with their bellies at least no longer screaming from hunger, they buried themselves in their soft masses.A while passed in the pleasant feeling of satiety before the sound of light, but hurried footsteps echoed through their hideout. The four of them lifted their heads from their soft masses and looked at the person who had appeared at the cave’s entrance.A boy slightly shorter than Barry appeared at the cave's entrance. His hair was even yellower than Jesse's, its brilliance impossible for the dirt and oil covering his face to hide, while his eyes were more orange than the pictures of those fruits they had once seen . Chapter 1
“I promise you… hic… I’ll get better. I promise, my son. I promise. Starting this Monday… hic…It was a small, windowless room, barely three meters wide and four meters long. In one corner stood an iron bed, held together by countless pieces of scrap metal, glue, and rusty cans nailed wherever they could fit, as though sheer desperation were the only thing keeping it from collapsing. A thick piece of cloth lay across it, though its shape and size suggested that it had once been something far larger—and had seen considerably better days. Beneath that thick cloth—which, generously speaking, could be called a blanket—lay a piece of burnt mattress, clearly torn from a burned-out car and repurposed as a pillow simply because it was softer than the floor."Sorry....Sorry...my son....Sorry...it's my fault...I promise you...I'll get better...just wait a little...I'll finally get my points up, and I'll be allowed to move up...I promise you...I'll get better...just...just a little more..." Prologue
“Make a wish! Make a wish for wealth! For happiness! Make a wish for power! For immortality! For a unique hope! Make a wish for yourself! Making a wish is our only salvation!”Amid the cool breezes sweeping toward it from far and near, a spotless screen displayed a beautiful girl with yellow eyes, green hair, and impossibly white teeth. With smiling lips and not a trace of sadness, she conveyed beautiful words to the world around her, making it seem far more beautiful with every string of her lovely voice. The large screen was the only beautiful thing in the entire environment. At the bottom of the screen lay a dirty old man, immersed in trash beneath a black plastic blanket. He stared upward with weak eyes, coughing miserably.A few meters away from the homeless old man stood two hills of stones and hollowed wood, blackened with dried blood. Like two shapeless statues, they protected the beautiful, shining screen, guarding its purity with their ugliness.Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.The sound
