Yesterday's heavy rain that occurred from afternoon to midnight made several rivers and lakes in Grassland almost overflow the water they were holding. Some rice fields are inundated with water and make the soil soft.

Arion helps farmers to remove water from their fields using buckets and ensures that the soil doesn't get carried away. The farmers can only take a deep breath, and they are resigned if they experience crop failure again. Luckily there was still a lot of the wheat in the warehouse, so that they could sell half of it and the other half for their consumption.

"Grassland has always been like this." Mr. Smith said as he adjusted the slanted position of the wheat plant to stand back up. "It rarely rains, but when it rains, it rains very hard and sometimes causes flooding. This area has experienced flooding in the past."

Auristela, who sat crouched on the edge rice field, listened to Mr. Smith, who was telling the story. Mr. Smith is 70 years old but still fit and strong. Mayb
