That sharp gaze shifted toward Logan. It was as if their enjoyment had just been interrupted, causing the two men to snort at the same time.

Frans and Nathan suddenly felt a heavy pressure on their shoulders after being called rude and shameless in front of everyone present.

“What did you say? What we’re doing is part of proper etiquette.” Nathan smirked, his eyes full of disregard.

“The two of us have a partnership with Sir Marcus, so it’s only proper for us to offer a respectful greeting.”

For a moment, both of them felt proud of what they were doing. And perhaps because they were too absorbed in their own thoughts, they ignored the murmurs around them.

Without wanting to waste any time, Frans immediately pulled out a black box from the pocket of his suit.

“I came here bringing an extraordinary gift for you and your daughter, Sir.”

He opened the box, revealing its contents—a sapphire blue necklace and a luxurious watch with a clearly visible brand name on the strap.

“Oh, I also brought a gift for you and your daughter.” He hurriedly patted his body, struggling to find something. “Ah, this is a luxury property certificate at Blue Lake.” He deliberately emphasized the last words, making sure everyone nearby could hear him.

“Wow, Blue Lake. That’s a very luxurious place, isn’t it? They built the whole area with shimmering water-like architecture,” a woman standing nearby said.

But the conversation was loud enough to attract the attention of the other guests.

“That’s right! That’s the gift I’m giving.”

“And mine is no less luxurious, right, Sir Marcus?” Frans glanced at Nathan, clearly unwilling to lose to him.

Logan had been listening to them all this time, and now he finally responded to their rude behavior after Marcus beside him let out a long sigh.

“Those cheap items are embarrassing to bring here. They’re nowhere near worthy enough to excuse your rude behavior,” he said coldly.

The two men immediately turned to glare at Logan, their jaws tightening.

“What did you say? You think our gifts are cheap?” the two of them snapped.

With proof like this, they should have been showered with praise. And hearing the whispers around them, they believed everyone here recognized just how extraordinary their gifts were.

“I will not accept them.” The single sentence from Marcus made their eyes widen instantly.

Their anger burned even hotter. The veins visible on their hands tensed as they struggled to hold themselves back, but failed.

“Sir, why would you say something like that? Is it because of this fraud?” Nathan kept talking, trying to make Marcus accept his gift immediately. He even pushed the gift closer toward Marcus.

“That man didn’t even bring you a gift, and he’s just spouting nonsense.”

Frans clenched his fists tightly, staring at Logan’s face while searching for the perfect moment to throw a punch.

“Logan is my honored guest, while the two of you—I don’t remember inviting you. I dislike people who have no manners, like you.”

The laughter around them seemed to crawl across their skin, making their blood boil. Even in a situation like this, the two of them refused to be humiliated because of a man they didn’t even know.

Coming from the prestigious families of the East, they had never once seen this man among their circles.

“Sir… you truly seem to have been deceived by him. He probably didn’t even bring a gift at all.”

Then, one of Logan’s brows slowly lifted as he looked directly at them.

“Yes, thankfully you reminded me about the gift,” he replied casually.

At that moment, he immediately took something out from the pocket of his suit. Resting on his palm was a long light-brown ribbon with black embroidery along the edges and center, forming the shape of a crane.

With a proud expression, Logan presented it in front of Marcus.

“This is a gift for your daughter, for Diana Marcus. She’ll definitely look beautiful wearing it.” Logan smiled.

The small figure who had been sitting casually on his shoulder all this time smiled proudly as well. “Yes, that’s right. She’ll definitely be happy.”

All this time, she had been secretly watching the scene from afar. She had also been very curious about the gift Logan brought.

But after seeing it, disappointment rose within her. It looked nothing more than an old ribbon, almost as if he were mocking her.

“Uh… what is that… why does Father look so happy about it?” she muttered weakly.

Meanwhile, the two men who had just been humiliated by Logan began laughing loudly while clutching their stomachs.

“He’s truly unbelievable! He dared to insult our gifts, yet he only gave that cheap old hair ribbon!”

With that loud declaration, everyone finally realized there was nothing special about Logan’s gift.

“It seems that man has no status at all. Sir Marcus only accepted it because he’s kind-hearted,” a man said with a sneer.

“That’s right. Sir Marcus is too kind, so he probably just welcomed him because a lowly man like that finally got the chance to attend his luxurious party.”

The mocking voices directed at Logan finally erupted. Everyone began laughing at him, yet Logan still looked completely relaxed.

“You’re all fools.” Sir Marcus’s firm voice instantly shocked everyone.

“Sir… are you really that upset because of this man’s behavior? We can throw him out immediately.” Nathan glanced at Frans.

The two of them exchanged signals, ready to do something. But a moment later, Marcus’s slap landed across his cheek.

“You insolent fool. This hair ribbon is an artifact from the 18th century, created for the Goddess Sylvaris!”

That statement shattered the earlier mockery, and the entire hall fell into deathly silence.

“Oh, this child?” Silva pointed at the little boy who was sitting quietly with his head lowered. When Logan nodded, Silva immediately walked over with a smile and patted the boy on the shoulder.“You know, he’s a very talented child.”One of Logan’s eyebrows rose. “Wow, who did this?” People gathered around, holding up their phones with their cameras recording. Flashes went off repeatedly, accompanied by the sounds of people taking pictures. Whispers buzzed through the crowd like bees building a hive. A man wearing a black hat stared at his phone with a frown. “They’re not wearing any clothes.” By then, Blake’s front yard had become incredibly crowded. There were so many people gathered outside. The front gate stood wide open, and not a single guard was stopping anyone from entering. Who knew where they had gone? The situation only seemed to be getting worse. “What does that say?” A woman who had forgotten to put on her glasses before rushing out of the house after hearing the commotion narrowed her eyes. She couldn’t make out the writing hanging around the necks of the two naked figures. All she could see was a white piece of paper with black scribbles across the middle. “‘Sinners. Fools.’” Someone elbowed her, making the woman’s mouth fall
