“Did you see their faces earlier, Master?” Miya, who was sitting in the driver’s seat, asked. “That was so funny.”

She then burst into laughter. “It’s because they underestimated you, Master.”

Her gesture clearly showed how pleased she was with what had happened earlier.

Logan smiled widely as he drove the car he had just bought. Today, Logan had learned a new lesson—the pleasure of making arrogant people regret their actions and turn on each other.

“Having money really is wonderful,” Logan admitted.

In the past, he had never been this ambitious about having a large amount of money. He thought that as long as he could live comfortably, it would be enough for him.

Now he could no longer think that way. His situation had made him realize that in order to control many things, he needed a lot of money.

Luckily, he had obtained this system.

At night, Logan finally returned to his house after touring around the city. Although they were in the same country of Norsein, this was the first time he had been in this particular city.

When he returned, the sound of the car immediately caught Lori’s attention as she was waiting for her master’s arrival. She quickly went outside and saw a shiny black car.

“Master!” Lori shouted when she saw him getting out of the car.

Lori quickly approached Logan and received a paper bag with an incredibly delicious aroma coming from inside.

“I bought this for you. The noodles are very delicious.”

Lori was surprised and her face turned slightly red. When she first came here and met her master, she had been a little nervous because the man had quite a handsome face. And his treatment toward her was also very kind.

Sometimes Lori’s heart would even beat faster because of it. “Thank you, Master.”

“Mm, Master, whose car is that?” she asked hesitantly.

“My car. I just bought it,” Logan said, his voice smooth.

Lori blinked slowly. This was the first time she had seen such a luxurious car from so close. At that moment, she finally realized that her master truly had money.

When she first came here, there hadn’t even been enough food, which made her think he might be a bankrupt man.

“Let’s go inside.”

Hearing Logan’s words, Lori snapped back to reality and followed her master with quick steps, almost like a puppy. Then she happily enjoyed the noodles her master had brought her.

Morning in Thaloria City

Heavy rain poured down, making the atmosphere extremely cold. But Logan didn’t feel that cold at all.

Right now, with his eyes focused on his phone screen, he instead felt heat rising in his body from emotion.

Blake Austin was strengthening his power, successfully obtaining a major capital project.

Seeing that news, Logan was deeply displeased. The memory of his birthday made him grip his phone tightly.

Their betrayal and cruelty had to be repaid in the most painful way.

“Wait for me… I will make all of you pay.”

In the end, he put his phone away to calm himself. At this moment, the thought in his mind was to destroy his uncle’s business. He wanted to build a company of his own, using his abilities.

Although he was still young, he was quite skilled in business. He had secretly studied and even helped his uncle’s family. They had only been using him.

His overwhelming anger unexpectedly triggered something—until, in front of him, a glowing notification screen appeared.

For the past two weeks, Logan had been waiting for the system to react. Whenever he asked Miya about it, the small being would only keep saying the same thing:

“The information is sealed.”

So when a notification finally appeared before him, his body immediately tensed.

[Go to the NightBall Auction and buy the fake item]

His heart pounded, and he felt as if this would drain his strength. Those were the only words displayed in front of him.

“Nightball Auction… what could I find there?”

He did not ignore the notification; he was simply thinking deeply about what was really going on.

Logan finally moved. After getting ready, he immediately headed to the Nightball Auction even though it was still raining outside.

When he arrived at the auction venue, entry required purchasing an invitation ticket worth fifty thousand dollars. Looking at the ticket in his hand, Logan simply exhaled.

He would get it back later.

“So many…”

Inside, there were already many people and sellers present. It was a multi-vendor auction—there were many items being sold, with each seller claiming their goods were authentic.

Logan walked slowly, carefully observing them one by one so he wouldn’t make a wrong purchase.

“This Buddha statue is made of real jade. You only need to buy it for two hundred thousand dollars,” a seller said loudly.

“Really? Isn’t that fake?” a buyer with crossed arms said dismissively.

The seller shot him a sharp look. “It’s real. Is your knowledge lacking?”

Logan approached and observed what was happening in front of him. The argument was quite intense. But from his observation, the Buddha statue really was made of genuine jade—just not very high quality.

Logan walked on again while thinking.

“No. I need to find the right item in order to gain a bigger profit.”

His logic was working. This way, the two years of waiting would not be wasted.

“Right, at the very least the item should be worth two million dollars,” he stopped after reaching that conclusion.

Just then, he bumped into someone in front of him.

“Hey, what are you doing!? Don’t you have eyes?”

Logan didn’t respond to the old man. And when the old man looked at something ahead, Logan also followed his gaze.

“This is a painting of the Goddess Sylvaris, with moonlight shining like this to show her majesty,” the seller said, impressing the surrounding buyers.

“So beautiful,” one of the people in the crowd said.

“Exactly! If you have this painting of Goddess Sylvaris at home, you will receive good fortune.”

“I will sell it for only 1,500,000 dollars. You can start bidding from that price.”

Everyone began to speak, looking at each other and whispering.

“Is it really authentic? Isn’t a Moonlight-style painting of Goddess Sylvaris very hard to find?”

“I don’t know… I’m not sure. The price is also very expensive.”

Amid the tense crowd, Logan had been staring without blinking the entire time. He carefully observed every single detail.

“I’ll buy it for 1,700,000 dollars,” a loud voice suddenly shouted from beside Logan.

Startled, Logan turned his head. The old man he had bumped into earlier was the one bidding on the painting.

Logan’s heart felt like it was being hunted. If he was wrong, he could lose money and suffer a loss.

“Is there anyone else who wants to bid?” the seller asked loudly.

He drew the attention of everyone in the hall, raising the tension further. Logan tried to think quickly.

His eyes narrowed when he noticed a black bracelet on the seller’s wrist—and not only that, the man bidding on the painting was also wearing the same one.

“They’re working together…?”

The wrapping technique on the bracelet was too identical—layered wrapping with a small charm in the center shaped like a tiny axe.

His heartbeat quickened even more.

“Master, what will you do?” Miya’s voice beside him only made the pressure he felt worse.

“I’ll buy it for 2,000,000 dollars!” another person shouted.

“Damn it…”

Finally, Logan raised his hand.

“I’ll buy it for 2,500,000. That luck belongs to me!”
