Chapter hundred Sixty- two

Jackson shook his head in disbelief at the old king's words, his resolve hardening with each passing moment.

"You may have once been my hero," he admitted, his voice heavy with regret. "But now, you're nothing but a shadow of your former self.

And I will do everything in my power to stop you, to bring you to justice for the crimes you have committed.

You have killed countless people, left many more homeless, children dying on the street," Jackson accused, his voice trembling with emotion. "We took an oath as Shadow members to protect the people of this country.

But you have broken that oath. You are a disgrace to everything the organization stands for. Why did you even put me as your next successor if you wanted to destroy the oath you made to it?"

The old king's gaze remained steady, his expression unreadable as he listened to Jackson's impassioned words.

But there was a flicker of something in his eyes - a hint of remorse, perhaps, or maybe just a glimmer of resignation.
