Adora knocked on the door. Immediately after sending the text to Tyler, she’d gotten out of bed and made her way there.

“Adora.” Tyler called, a small smile appearing on his face as he opened the door.

“You came too quickly,” he added, standing in the way.

“Well, I wouldn’t if he had come home and attended to my needs like the dog he is.” she hissed.

She pushed Tyler in as she stepped inside and closed the door behind her.

Eight years ago, Adora had developed a crush on Tyler. She’d approached him by herself and asked him on a date.

Tyler, a scientist and developer, CEO of Tyler and Co. Companies had accepted to date Adora and see where the relationship led until one evening.

Marvin came back home with bad news. Adora was to wed the name of the person in her grandfather’s will.

She fought it, but her will was not enough to overturn Marvin’s decision. She married Abel out of obedience, and ever since then, she hated him like shit, cheating on him with Tyler on the side.

“You want a drink?” Tyler asked, walking over to his private cellar.

He poured himself a glass, picked a second glass from the shelf and almost poured into it when,

“I don’t. I want something else. Something you alone can give me.”

Adora lifted her hand to her cleavage and loosened her button.

Slowly, she loosened all her buttons and bit slowly on her lips.

Tyler smiled. He knew what she wanted. Anytime she was like this, she already knew she wanted the manhood. And he was going to give it to her like a whore. Hence, she kept coming back for it.

Meanwhile, Abel parked his car in the distance. Having left the hospital, he should return home before he goes to the company. But something clicked in him, telling him to pull over in the distance.

He knew the nature of the wife he married. Since the day of their wedding, he never had peace.

Adora was a bully who enjoyed every act she ever did to him. He wished more than everything to divorce back then, but his mother must respect the will of her father.

Even if she agreed to let him divorce, Adora’s family would never oblige. So he endured everything he faced. But now, he was a different man.

He understood it. If he drove in and stepped inside, Adora would start yelling immediately.

She’d remind him of everything she’d ever done. He didn’t need any negative energy now.

He breathed out deeply, wanting to drive away, but then he saw it.

The estate gate opened.

Adora drove out in her favorite white Bentley.

“Oh! Good.” he murmured.

Seeing that she drove off, Abel drove in.

Inside the mansion, Abel took his bath, freshened up and looked his best.

“Now, this is the moment we are waiting for.” he smiled into the mirror as he checked himself out, wearing his best suit.

Having done so, he stepped back into his old model car and drove out.

“Today is the day I stopped being the useless husband. Today is the day I become the chairman of the most conventional energy company in all of the country.”

He smiled into the rearview mirror as he drove fast.

Abel pressed his foot slowly on the brake pad. His car pulled to a stop in front of a skyscraper building near the busy road.

He opened the car door, and the valet approached.

“Welcome to Northwest Energy, sir.” The valet bowed.

“Keys, please.”

Abel handed him the key, and the valet stepped into the car and drove it gently away to the designated parking area.

Looking at the name embedded on the wall of the front door, he breathed out.

This was it.

He approached.

A security guard stood at the door, opening the door for people who were going in and out of the building.

As Abel stepped one inch closer to the door, the security guard immediately blocked his path.

“Move aside.” The security hissed.

“I don’t understand.” Abel said.

“I’m here to see the board. I was emailed to come.”

The security laughed.

“You?”

“You were emailed to come?”

“By the board?” he chuckled.

“With the type of car you drive?”

Earlier on, when Abel pulled over at the building, the security man sighted him immediately.

His car was too old. Cars like that don’t park at the front of the company. Only luxurious cars did. And to think the man driving it thought he could enter the company?

“C’mon, man. No one in this big company can email a nobody like you. I mean, look at you. Drives an old car, wears cheap suits? C’mon, man. Just leave before I embarrass you here.”

He pulled his hand forward and dragged Abel to the side as another customer approached.

“Welcome to Northwest Energy, sir.” he bowed, opening the door and pulling it close again the moment Abel wanted to step in right after the customer.

“Let me in, man.” Abel voiced, his tone firm.

“No!” the security man hissed.

He pushed Abel backwards and looked at him from head to toe as if he were scanning him.

“Fine!” he said.

“If you say you were emailed to come, show me the email. And I will let you in.”
