4. This has got to be the most humiliating day of his life. He watches all the servants stare at him with pity.

He is still shaking, because he has not eaten anything for more than a few days, and he just got the beating of his life.

He is holding his hand over his stomach, as he looks at his precious pendant in Damien's hand. Why isn't he giving it back?

Selina smirks by the side. “This is your apology? I don't think that it came from your heart. You will kneel right where you are for the next five hours, and that's the only way you will be forgiven.”

Leon heaves as he looks from one person to the other. Finally, he looks up to the grey sky.

“But it's about to rain any moment from now. I am going to get sick from the cold.”

Selina looks at him from his head to his toes. “And what has that got to do with me? Get down on your knees, or you will regret disobeying me.”

With that, she gives Damien another kiss and seductively walks away. “I'm just going to take a shower, babe. You should wait for me in the bedroom.”

Damien grins like a happy fool. Victoria shakes her head and laughs. “Children, I am going to go shopping now.”

She leaves, and soon, the servants are gone too. It's just Damien and Leon, staring at each other.

“God, you look a mess,” Damien takes out a cigarette and lights it.

“Yeah, thanks to you.”

“You should leave, though.” Damien tells him. “Selina and I are going to have a good time in exactly twenty minutes. Now, I don't know how quiet we can be, so you have to leave if you don't want your heart to be crushed.”

Leon knows that hearing Damien and Selina having sex would absolutely ruin him. He might end up killing himself….

Thunder claps, the air gets moisty.

“Selina is just love struck by you, but don't worry, she will soon see the kind of person you are. The kind of person that claimed to love her, but abandoned her when she needed him the most.”

Even though Damien has been acting like a tough guy, he feels very embarrassed by Leon's words.

He looks around, to make sure that no one heard what Leon has just said to him.

He shrugs and his shameless smile returns to his face. “So what? Yes, I abandoned her for years. I am the heir of the Shankly family, do you expect me to be her caregiver?”

“Yes, that's what I expect! That's the least you can do for someone that you claim to love!”

Damien rolls his eyes. “Whatever, you are just mad that she chose me. Just get over it, okay? Because Selina and I are getting married in a month!”

Leon heaves, he doesn't want to deal with this anymore.

The rain has started to pour down. It's getting heavier as seconds goes by, so Damien tosses his lighted cigarette at Leon, before walking away with a short laugh.

Leon starts to pack his stuff again, as the rain pours down on him. When he is done, he looks at the Xavier mansion for the last time.

Damien Shankly didn't give him back the pendant, maybe he will write him an email to beg him to return it…

Damien undo the first few buttons of his shirt as he crashes on Selina's bed. Not the bed in her secret room at the back of the house, the main room of hers before the accident.

He can hear the shower running, and he is very happy about the splendid time they are going to have.

She steps out from the bathroom with a towel tied around her chest. Damien stands up and gives her another kiss on her lips.

“Gosh, it's raining.” She goes over to pull down the curtains. “Is that fool still kneeling down?”

Damien scratches the bridge of his nose. “He left.”

“What?!” Selina frowns. “That fool dares to defy me?!”

Damien laughs as he puts his hands around her waists and pulls her over to him. “Why do you want him? You are no longer in a comatose state, he is useless.”

“He is my toy!” She insists. “My family paid a lot for him, and do you know that we are the reason that his sick mother is still alive?! And he has the audacity to disobey me?!”

She immediately reaches for her phone and starts to type aggressively.

“Baby, what are you doing?” He strokes her hair.

“Messaging the financial department.” She murmurs. “If he thinks he can play us, he is wrong. All financial assistance to his mother will be cut off permanently!”
