Damien laughs as he kisses her forehead. She is so tough, and he loves her for it.

“Don't worry, we will punish Leon Smith soon. We can even throw him into jail, but right now, we have some catching up to do.”

She catches the cue. She tosses her phone away, and they both crash against the bed.

They are making out heavily, but suddenly, Selina seems to be losing interest. Damien notices this, so he stops for a second.

“What's the problem now, my love?”

“I can't go back to being unconscious.” She sighs. “I need that drug everyday. How can I get it every day when it's not even out in the market? It's not for sale!”

Damien laughs. “Come on, Selina. I'm the heir of the Shankly empire, my sisters won't say no to me. I can get a million of those from my sister, Helen, you don't have to worry.”

Her worried face breaks into a smile. She snakes her hands around him. “That's why I love you so much. I've missed you!”

Leon can barely see, because Damien hit him severally in his eyes.

It doesn't help that the rain is falling so aggressively, but Leon knows that he has to leave.

He doesn't have a cent in his pocket, but he is very sure that if he keeps putting one foot in front of the next, he will get to his mother's apartment in a few hours.

He doesn't know what he is going to tell her when he gets there, or how he will explain his injuries.

Leon sighs as he wonders why God has turned his back on him. He doesn't deserve so much sadness in his life…

The driver's door opens, and he rushes to Leon.

“Excuse me, sir?” He tries to check for a pulse.

“Callus, is he dead?!” She yells over the rain.

“I don't think so, Miss Shankly, but he is badly hurt. Please, don't get yourself wet from the rain. Remain in the car, I will take care of this!”

But she can't do that, because she is a doctor, and if that man is terribly hurt, she has to save his life. His face turns, and she gasps with recognition.

“It's you!” She whispers.

Her driver tilts his head. “You know him, Miss?”

Helen exhales. “This is not the time for questions. Thank God he is still alive. Take him into the car, we are taking him to my hospital.”

Callus frowns. “I can just call the ambulance, Miss Shankly. You have to get to the airport, you have to get to your meeting as soon as possible.”

She shakes her head even before he is done. “That's an order, Callus. Call my assistant and cancel the meeting, I will personally treat this poor man.”

Callus sighs. He can't argue because she is his boss. As he moves the man, Helen feels her heart skip a beat once now, she sees his face in full.

His face, it's mysteriously familiar to her. She is sure that she hasn't seen this face before, but she is just drawn to it.
