At Villa Star

At the doorstep of a classy and expensive villa, Sheva-a beautiful woman wearing a long red dress and a beautiful body-was blinking a pair of eyes and expressionlessly at a man in front of her. That man was James Timothy.

"James, you won't talk much later!" Sheva said to James with a serious look in her eyes.

"Today's matter is very important. I plan to negotiate with them to help my father's property business get through this critical period," Sheva continued.

James replied, "Yes. I know." He nodded his head.

They were husband and wife, two years ago James Timothy and Sheva Hilton were married on the orders of Sheva's grandfather. Mr. Hilton married off his youngest granddaughter to a man who was poor and had no power. No one dared to contradict that order at that time. The reason why Mr. Hilton married off Sheva to James was unknown to anyone other than Mr. Hilton and James.

However, a year ago Mr. Hilton died, and since then James's life in the Hilton family has been increasingly humiliated.

Sheva, who loved her grandfather very much, had to accept her grandfather's order to marry a poor man like James. Up until now, they still have no real husband and wife relationship.

Sheva and James entered Villa Star, today is the wedding of Edwin Hilton's daughter, he is the eldest son of Mr. Hilton who holds the power of the Hilton family. The wedding party was lively, inviting business bosses from various fields from several cities and countries. And all Hilton family members were present as well.

Inside is a grand and beautifully decorated villa, there is also a flower garden and a beautiful small pond. These were all properties of Edwin's business.

Outside the villa, a line of classy and expensive cars stopped. Like Maserati, Porsche 91, Cayenne, and Audi.

"Hi, Sheva. I guess you must have come here by taxi, right? Why didn't you call me? I can send a car to pick you up. Because, today is so important, you'd be embarrassing the Hilton family if you came here by taxi." A grown man said that to Sheva. He is Tommy Hilton. The eldest son of Edwin Hilton.

Tommy took off his sunglasses and glanced at James and Sheva with a look of contempt.

Sheva was silent, she didn't answer right away.

Eden Hilton was Sheva's father, who was also James' father-in-law. In the Hilton family, Eden was the poorest son because all of his other relatives were greedier to grab Mr. Hilton's wealth. In the end, Eden only got a property management factory that was on the verge of being bankrupt. Therefore, with Eden's family's poor economic situation, Sheva could not buy a car to go anywhere.

"Sheva, I told you a long time ago, that you should divorce your poor husband. And I will introduce you to my friend who is the son of a rich man in this country. If you had obeyed me back then, you wouldn't be struggling financially today." Tommy said with great enthusiasm, and he didn't care about James' existence.

"But, of course, you're not too late, Sheva. If you want to be rich, you can divorce your husband, and then you can beg me to introduce you to one of my rich friends," Tommy said again proudly.

"Tommy, have you finished talking?" Sheva asked coldly.

"Hey, as your brother, I just feel sorry for you. I was kind enough to give you a solution, but you got upset and still didn't take my advice. So, just enjoy your poverty for the rest of your life!" Tommy told Sheva casually.

Then, Tommy glanced at James. "James, why are you at my sister's wedding?" He continued, "By the way, I heard that your father-in-law's property business doesn't have operating funds anymore, right? And already unable to pay the employees' salaries, I heard that it will soon go bankrupt."

"It could be that you came here to persuade my father to lend you money, right?" Tommy continued. He chuckled.

James just stared at Tommy, and chose not to respond to Tommy's words.

Sheva sighed, she tried to keep her anger in check, and then she said to her husband. "Be patient, don't mind him. We came here today to take care of a serious matter."

James nodded his head.

Inside the hall, it was a spacious, western-style building, the decor was classy and expensive, and in front of it stretched a long layer of red carpet.

Sheva was carrying a beautiful gift box. She walked up to the bride and flashed a smile. "Luna, congratulations on your wedding." Sheva congratulated her older cousin.

Luna Hilton, has a beautiful face. She had fair skin, but she was haughty.

Luna gave Sheva a quick glance with a flat expression, then she said, "Put the gift there!"

"Ok," Sheva replied.

"Luna, I'll accompany you here, okay?" Sheva said and smiled at Luna.

"No need. You don't have to be nice to me. I know what you're up to. This has to be about your father, right? My family won't help." Luna said coldly.

Sheva's smile froze, replaced with a wound in her heart that could not be closed. She clenched her hands into fists, and her body trembled slightly as well.

Before her grandfather died and before she married James, Luna was very kind to her. But now she had turned so indifferent and cold towards Sheva.

Luna Hilton is married to one of the rich son in the country. The wedding was very grand, all the Hilton family came to celebrate. All the guests were also respectable and worthy. And Sheve was silent for a moment after thinking about this, in her heart she thought about how difficult her father's economic situation was. However, Sheva's face remained smiling and followed Luna's footsteps.

While James sat in place, from a distance he saw Luna's behavior towards Sheva. In his heart, there was also pain in seeing his wife treated like that.

At the banquet table where James was, all the sons-in-law of the Hilton family were also sitting there. However, all of these sons-in-law except James were rich and had power. Compared to James' position, it was no comparison at all.

And so, no one greeted James. They ignored James' existence.

"All the Hilton family's sons-in-law are here already? Let's drink together!" A voice rang out, it was Tommy. He approached all the Hilton family in-laws, carrying a glass of wine.

"Tommy, we should cheers for you!"

Tommy had a relaxed expression. He was highly praised and respected by the other in-laws, as he was the main heir of the Hilton family. Neighborhood, wealth, position, and everything else elevated Tommy above the other Hilton family in-laws.

Tommy glanced at James, he saw that James was not joining them. He wasn't holding a glass of wine.

"James, are you underestimating me? Why aren't you holding a glass of wine?!" Tommy asked coldly and gave James a sharp look.

Swoosh!

Within a second, Tommy flung out his hand to pour a glass of wine on James' face.

The response was met with bursts of laughter. “Hahaha! This man is really good at bragging without blinking!” “So calm when he lies, impressive.” “Crazy, his claims are way too big. Buying a building in Kopus Star City? His face is thick enough.” Everyone there laughed at James. Not a single person believed he could do it. If he really bought a building in that area, it would mean he had cash flow in the trillions. Even Mariana could not do that easily, let alone a so called useless son-in-law from Leeds like James. His wife came to the reunion by taxi, but her husband arrived with a Bentley and bodyguards? It all looked so fake and showy. “Sheva, your husband is a huge liar. Do you really believe him?” Mariana asked, looking at her with mockery. “I believe him,” Sheva answered without hesitation. Immediately everyone stared at her with disbelief. “Sheva, you are too naive. James does not even know the price of a single building in Kopus! I have seen many men like

“So arrogant. Huh.” Mariana sneered, her eyes full of mockery. She had no idea what James was really thinking, but his cold attitude clearly irritated her. She thought James would panic and beg for forgiveness once he realized who she was. But to her surprise, James showed no sign of respect at all. “Sheva, tell James to come here,” Mariana said in a low, cold voice as she handed her phone to Sheva. “Where are you, honey?” James asked warmly from the other end. Sheva replied softly, “My husband, I’m at Trandana Commercial Plaza. Please come here.” “Well, wait for me there, honey.” James ended the call. “James is really stupid, isn’t he?” Mariana said sharply. “When he gets here, I’ll teach him a little lesson. He needs to learn who he should respect.” Laughter broke out around her. Mariana was used to being admired and obeyed. So when James dared to ignore her, it felt like a slap to her pride in public. “Men like James are all talk,” said a young man with a disgusted

To Mariana, the Sheva who was once adored by everyone was now nothing more than a joke. “This isn’t necessary. My husband is busy with a lot of things. Besides, he isn’t really close to everyone here,” Sheva said softly, trying to refuse politely. She had no intention of dragging James into such an embarrassing situation. “What could possibly keep him that busy?” a young woman scoffed. “If it’s about business, just ask your husband to come. Besides, what business deal can’t be handled through Mariana? Her influence in Dandelion is huge.” “That’s right, Sheva. We’re all curious about that so-called rejected son-in-law. What kind of qualifications does he have to marry our campus beauty?” a man said mockingly. “You still dare to talk about business? Sheva, stop making things up. You didn’t even have a car when you arrived in Dandelion. What could that useless man James possibly do?” a flamboyant young man sneered sharply. Sheva felt completely cornered. With Mariana being the most

Mariana gave a mocking smile. “Sheva, stop denying it. Everyone already knows. I heard it directly from a business partner in Leeds.” “Everyone there knows James, the rejected son-in-law of the Hilton family. Are you still going to deny it? Do you really think that’s a lie?” Mariana continued. With a triumphant look, Mariana smiled in satisfaction. To her, even though Sheva used to be the “school beauty,” in the end, she still married a man everyone saw as trash. “Of course, Sheva, don’t be embarrassed. We’re only worried about you. If you feel burdened by that useless man, just leave him. No one will laugh at you,” Mariana said, pretending to sound kind. “Yes, Sheva, if you don’t like a man like that, just kick him out. No need to hide it.” Everyone sided with Mariana. The atmosphere grew livelier, while Sheva’s expression became harder to hold. No one could understand how Sheva, with so many choices, could end up marrying James, that so-called worthless son-in-law. “The sch

In fact, before she left, Ray from the Hawar Hotel had even wanted to send a security team to accompany her. But Sheva refused. She was not yet used to such extravagance. “In that case, if you feel inconvenienced in Dandelion, I can arrange a car for you. That is nothing,” Mariana said in a lofty tone, clearly intending to show her superiority. “Sheva, I heard you are managing a jewelry company in Leeds, right? That was your family’s inheritance, wasn’t it?” Mariana took a sip of her coffee and continued with full confidence. “Did you come to Dandelion this time for business? I have many connections in the jewelry industry. If you want, I can easily arrange things for you.” Her voice was full of arrogance. “Sheva, it has been years since we met, yet Mariana is still the same as before. The two of you were once called the golden sisters of the campus. If you need help, Sheva, just speak to Mariana. Her influence in Dandelion is no joke,” one man said flatly. “That’s right. Mariana

  • Chapter 277-At Reunion

Tjah once told him, back in those days, that the Grand Elder was the greatest support of the Nelton Family. Because this matter was so important, only after he stepped down and passed on the Patriarch’s position would he reveal the truth to the next successor, leaving behind this final card and explaining the true connection with Elder Nelton. “This is truly troublesome. That old man cannot move right now, and I cannot allow James Timothy to meet him. If they do, our plans will be ruined,” Gonamaz said gravely. “Yes. With his sudden appearance this time, I am worried something may happen on Father’s side,” Almer replied firmly. Gonamaz pondered for a long time, as if an idea struck him. His eyes gleamed. “That old man’s matters are not yet settled. We absolutely cannot let James see him. If he discovers any weakness, it could destroy everything we have built.” His tone grew more serious. “As for how talented James truly is… we should test him, just to confirm who he really is.”
