Transmigration

When I woke up, there was an unfamiliar sensation all around my body. I remember that I finished the game Rise of the Fallen yesterday.

However, I don’t remember doing some heavy activities that would result in this kind of heavy tiredness all over my body.

After stabilizing myself and getting rid of the drowsiness, I found a chance to observe my surroundings clearly.

Well, it seems like I am still dreaming or something like that because the ceiling, the room, the bed, the furniture, and all my surroundings are strange to me. I don't think I have ever been in a place like that in my entire life.

In the first place, even though I was not very rich, I was not that poor to live in a room that showed clear signs of falling apart and had, at most, 10 m2 of space.

The lighting of the room is very weak; it is like I am in some sort of basement.

And what is with this messiness? There are trashes everywhere; how can a person even live there? I swear the person who brought me to this place is clearly trying to make me angry.

I hope I am not kidnapped or something like that.

<System initializing.>

"What was that!" I unconsciously blurted that out loud.

Wait, it is weird. Were my arms really that short? Wait, wait, wait, what is wrong with this skin color, and tiny arms? Why are my arms like sticks?

Wait for a second; I clearly remember going to sleep last night after playing Rise of The Fallen for 20 hours. I don't remember going elsewhere after that. Did I catch a strange disease? Hmm, it seems impossible for any disease to affect this much in a single day.

Let's wash my face before jumping to any conclusions, and what was with that sound just now? I can't see anyone in this room other than me. Is my eyesight just bad, or am I going crazy right now? Well, I must keep calm and assess the situation first.

And with that, I decided to wash my face and think with a clear head.

However, who is this person in the mirror? When I stepped in front of the mirror, I could see a kid, not a man, but it was just that the kid was not me.

In the first place, I am twenty years old college student, and there is just no way that I can be this tiny. Moreover, I have brown hair, brown eyes, a beard, and, most importantly, a good physique. I don't want to brag, but I really have a good body. In high school, I have been exercising 5-6 times a week.

However, it seems this is not the case for the kid in front of me. This kid has raven black hair, black eyes like an abyss, and a tiny body. I must admit, he is kind of handsome, maybe not world-class, but it is still good, nevertheless.

It seems like right now; I am in control of this body. Is this some kind of lucid dream? And this person seems a bit familiar. Where did I see this guy before?

<System initialization finished. Starting the transfer of memories.>

It is that sound again, and what is with this system thing and memory transfer? While thinking like that, a sharp pain assaulted my head, and I fainted.

After the seemingly endless type of sleep, I woke up with a sharp pain in my head.

It looks like I fainted after I heard that robotic voice.

"Urghhh, what? My head hurts. What happened just now?"

The moment I managed to come to myself, I saw a blue screen in my front. I tried to touch it but to no avail. It is like this screen is here but not here at the same time.

"What is this blue screen in front of me?"

Everything seems odd. It is weird that I still haven't woken up after experiencing this kind of pain. And what is this blue screen? It seems it would be best to examine this screen first.

"I see; this really is the body of Darius Nightborne. It looked a bit familiar too."

I never imagined that I would be transmigrated to the body of Darius Nightborne.

Although the concept of transmigration is weird and unrealistic, there is nothing I can do aside from accepting this since everything I am seeing right now is pointing out transmigration.

It seems I became this third-rate villain. I wouldn't say I like to use swear words, but I really hate Darius and the person who transmigrated me here. In the first place, Darius was the only villain I couldn’t stand in the game.

This guy was just a pathetic type of human who couldn’t even finish the thing he decided to do.

Even though you liked someone and decided to give in to your desires, at least finish it and see it until the end, even though the thing you are trying to do will mess up with your life.

And he must have known that too. The moment he decided to rape the Saintess candidate, his life was already over, then why not just finish it? Why did he hesitate at that time? If he hadn’t hesitated at that time, he would have been successful even before we reached the scene.

Well, there is no use in criticizing him anymore.

Since right now that I am in the body of Darius, I naturally won’t follow the plot.

I must change this guy's fate. In the game, this guy was just a scum who raped a girl he liked; however, there is no way I am doing that. Don't be mistaken. I have no attachment to this world, so I am not planning to play a hero.

It is just that I hate people who succumb to their desires and, in the end, destroy their lives themselves, and I refuse to become one with such a pathetic life.

And the other reason is that I want to see the end of the game and whether Darius’ role is important or not.

What would happen if I decided not to play the part of the role myself? Would that lead to the world's destruction, or would everything stay the same? Will the storyline differ from the original or not?

If everything is the same as the one in the game, what is the funny part of living here? If everything is going according to a script, won’t it make everyone living puppets controlled by a puppeteer called 'fate'? If that is the case, what is the point of living?

Well, enough with questioning life. I must take action. To think clearly, firstly, I must begin with this room.

Let's start with the cleaning. How can one live even in a room like that? It looks like Darius is quite the opposite of me. Well, whatever; it is what it is, I guess.

After cleaning for almost 3 hours, I decided to stop, not because I had finished but because it seemed like this guy hadn't eaten anything for two days. With a loud growl from my stomach, I decided it would be best to continue after eating.

Well, as some may think that this guy is poor. However, this is not the case. It is just that he is stingy and does not like to spend money on trivial things like “eating”!

He didn't even buy a single meal after he came to this city. His fridge is empty. It seems I need to do some grocery shopping first. After that, I will cook some dinner. And while eating, let's decide on a plan to follow.
