I must say, I am impressed. Although this guy has not had much money in his account, it is still a pretty good amount for an orphan like him. It is just that he didn’t want to spend too much money on a room he would stay at most two weeks; thus, this room is that bad.

The manager and nanny decided to name him Darius Nightborne. The name Darius comes from the earrings. His surname is Nightborne because he was found in the middle of a stormy night and has black eyes like an abyss.

His childhood is expected in a sense if you exclude the bullying he had to go through.

Because Darius has a weak body constitution, he is usually bad at tag games and leapfrog games or simply bad at games that require high physical activity. However, he was very good at hiding and seeking. He would always find the kids who were trying their best to hide since, from childhood, he had good observation skills. It was nearly impossible to beat him in this game.

In some cases, envy is a very dangerous feeling, especially for children. Humans tend to socialize and, at the same time, like to feel superior. Generally, every group, especially groups of children, has a leader called an alpha.

Although it may look cliché, there was a guy named Ronan in the orphanage, which was clearly the definition of alpha. He had a muscular build and had some goons around him. He was displeased with Darius’ existence.

However, it is very hard for commoners to participate in the academy like that without someone sponsoring them. However, to not lose the gems hidden in commoners, at the age of 13, every child’s affinity and talent are measured in the hero association branch of each city.

As I said, there is a hero association in this world, and it is a formidable force to beckon. Even though they do not rule over any land, like emperors, they are in check for humans with solid powers and balancing the continent.

Because the current strongest human is the head of the Hero Association, it is not hard to imagine why it is a force to beckon.

When the age of 13 had come for Darius, with other kids of the same age, officials took them to the association branch to measure their affinity.

Well, the results were either a disaster or a miracle for Darius. Because he didn’t have an affinity with any known elements, that means he either has an affinity with a unique element, or he doesn’t have an affinity with anything.

There are always cases like that, and if a commoner’s results are like Darius’, academies are inviting them to learn if they are talented or not.

Because his time attending to academy started to get closer, he decided to travel to the city of the academy and familiarize himself with the environment before the academy started.

However, who goes to the academy city three months before the start of the semester? This is why we are in this shabby inn right now. He is staying here because he will change countries, and his official papers are being ready. One week later, he will cross the borderline and step on the lands of the Republic of Cynthia.

I have one week to myself and have nothing left to do. Because right now I don’t have much money. I have 5000 Utopis in my bank account, but this is nowhere near enough for me to have good equipment in the academy. Utopis is the international currency of this world and is controlled by Hero Association.

Why am I trying to live in this world if I have no attachments, some may ask? It is because I want to see the end of this game. Developers hadn’t finished the story in the first game, which I finished before transmigrating in this body, and if I have something unfinished, it feels like there is a thorn in my heart.

When I was in high school to finish one book I started, I almost failed my year. Some may call me obsessive, but it is how it is.

I have already finished writing the storyline in my notebook in English. This is just a precaution in case someone finds my notebook. There is no English in this world, and if there are other transmigrators here, there is nothing I can do about it. In this world, everyone speaks Utopian, which is some sort of universal language. Then how do I talk Utopian? It is because of the original Darius’ memories.

Anyway, I will go to the wilderness at dawn, so I must sleep early.
