Chapter 4

Felix felt uneasy when he heard where the package was supposed to be delivered.

"What's the problem, Felix? Are you alright?" Lorenzo asked.

Felix got a hold of himself. He knew that Lorenzo chose to send him for an ulterior motive but the last thing that he would do was to show Me, Lorenzo, any sign that he was bothered.

"I'm fine. You need the package delivered immediately?" Felix asked Mr Lorenzo.

"Yes of course. Take it quickly." Mr Lorenzo answered.

Felix took the box from the table and left Mr Lorenzo's office. Only after leaving the office and closing the door did Felix realize that he had been holding his breath the entire time.

Felix sighed deeply and then went on his way.

Felix took a cab to the address that was written on the package.

On his way to the location, Felix wondered what the reaction of Mr and Mrs Richie would be when they lay eyes on him for the first time after ten years.

What sort of emotion would take over them? How would they treat him? This and many more questions rose in Felix's head.

The cab driver stopped in front of Richie's Mansion and Felix got off after paying.

Felix looked at the building which he was still familiar with. Even after ten years, nothing has changed.

Surprisingly, there was no security at the gate. Felix walked up to the door which was left open by whoever.

Felix heard voices which he recognised to be that of Mr and Mrs Richie's voice. He went towards the source of the noise and found that he was not the only one who was intrigued by the loud shouts he was hearing.

No wonder there was no security. All the staff members were hiding in corners and peeking at the couple as they kept arguing nonstop.

Felix decided to wait and listen. No one noticed him yet so why not make the most of it and find out what has been going on since his absence?

"I can't believe you lied to me throughout all these years! How could you keep such a thing secret and deceive me like that?!" Mr Richie screamed at his wife.

"Bring your voice down Richie. It doesn't matter anymore. We are old. No need for kids." Mrs Richie said, coming to her senses after she was done yelling back.

Mr Richie did not relent in giving his wife such a slap that not only threw her to the floor but also left his fingerprints on her face.

Mrs Richie broke into tears but even that did not move Mr Richie.

"You sick materialistic greedy snake of a woman! Who is supposed to inherit all that I have when I'm no longer fit?! you were barren this entire time and Felix was never my son in the first place! Who the hell did you steal him from?!" Mr Richie said to Mrs Richie.

Felix's mouth fell open but somehow, he was not surprised to hear that they were not his parents.

The couple heard slow footsteps and turned to see Felix enter with a package in his hand which Mr Lorenzo had him bring.

The sole of Felix's shoes hitting against the floor was loud enough to get the couple's attention.

"I knew that such heartless people as yourselves could never have truly been my parents. Who would sell their child? Mrs Richie. Who are my real parents?" Felix asked.

Mrs Richie spat out blood, "that is something I will never tell you." she said to Felix.

Felix was about to charge at her but Mr Richie called security which appeared almost instantly, forgetting they were not at their assigned positions the entire time.

Two security held Felix back while Mr Richie snatched the box from Felix's hands. Mr Richie got Felix kicked out after snatching the package away.

Once outside, Felix swore he'd find out the truth no matter what means he had to use to force the truth out of Mrs Richie's lips.

"If they aren't my real parents and Mrs Richie knows my real parents, how did I get separated from my real parents, to begin with? I have to find out everything.

This was exactly the trigger Felix needed to show the people around him who was boss.

From that moment on, there was no playing weak. He knew he had to get to the top and fast. Sami, Mr and Mrs Richie, Mr Lorenzo... They've all got their turns and not the cards were in Felix's hands.

All he had to do was play them right.

Felix took another cab to return to Mr Lorenzo's mansion but while he was in the cab, he recalled that he had fixed a meeting with Diana.

"Oh no..." Felix muttered to himself.

Felix redirected the cab on where to go and he began calling Diana who failed to pick up in the first five calls.

After reaching his destination and almost leaving the cab, Felix's call was returned by Diana.

"Sorry, but I had an emergency to attend to at work. I couldn't wait any longer. I'm still busy so I can't talk right now." Diana told Felix and she ended the call in annoyance.

Felix was also angry. It was because of Mr Lorenzo that he could not meet up with Diana and even the whole thing with his supposed parents wasted his time.

The cab took Felix to Mr Lorenzo's mansion and Felix paid the cab driver before entering the mansion.

Felix was fast with his feet and reached Mr Lorenzo's office quite quickly.

Felix was ready to knock on that door and expose Mr and Mrs Richie's dirty little secret to Mr Lorenzo as Mr Lorenzo thought he took a child from a trusted member of his organisation.

Felix raised his hand to knock but his fists stopped mid-air. "No," Felix said to himself and brought his hand down.

"Exposing Mr and Mrs Richie might also after me in a bad way. I have no idea what step Mr Lorenzo would take if he finds out the truth. I might lose the opportunity of being his heir." Felix thought.

Felix turned away from the door and walked away from it. He was on his way to meet ana who he was sure he saw while on his way to Mr Lorenzo's office.

Felix just had to get everything off his chest to someone and there was no one else he could tell everything to but Ana who has been his mother figure ever since he chose her the first day he came.

Felix was at the bottom of the stairs and about to approach Ana but Sami came out of nowhere and blocked Felix.
