Chapter 3

*Evening*

"Others may not notice it but there's something more and beyond what's truly happening within the walls of this mansion. Operations are being carried out that soon we will be put to test and made to take over. Operations that men of age could not be taken but they'd rather train children until they become of age. Until I find out the roots of this organisation, I cannot let my enemies measure my strengths or predict my thoughts."

Felix was lying on his bed and staring at the ceiling while allowing his thoughts to move freely in his head.

A knock came on Felix's bedroom door, throwing him off his thoughts.

"Who's there?" Felix asked.

"I came to call you out to have dinner. Figured your head in the clouds might take you passed the time." Ana's voice sounded from the other side of the door.

Felix smiled and went to the door. He opened the door and saw Ana waiting to follow him to the dining room.

Ana and Felix entered the dining room where the others were seated and being served.

Felix was lucky to have come on time to receive his share. Any minute late would have sent him back to his room on an empty stomach.

All of a sudden, Sami reached out across the table and knocked over Felix's glass of water but Felix was quick to dodge the splash.

The other guy snickered on seeing Sami's failed attempt and that made Sami angry.

Sami got up and left without eating the remaining half of his food and it was taken away.

After everyone was done, they left for their room to get some sleep.

Felix opened the door to his room and saw that the light was turned off.

Felix immediately felt suspicious and reached for the switch to turn on the light but shouted and held back his arm.

Felix was bleeding profusely on the wrist and those who heard the shout, including Mr Lorenzo, went to check and see what was going on.

They were all shocked to see that someone had cut Felix on the wrist so badly that a few of the men entered the room and turned on the lights but there was no one inside.

"What just happened?! Who did this?! Such behaviour is not tolerated here!" Mr Lorenzo said angrily.

"Get him to the hospital!" Mr Lorenzo ordered one of his bodyguards and Felix was taken to the hospital as quickly as possible.

*Later at the hospital*

Felix's hand was treated and bandaged as if it was nothing too serious. He was seated side by side with Ana on a hospital bed.

"I'm sure it's Sami who did this to me," Felix said to Ana.

"I do not doubt that." Ana agreed.

"Well, none of you is wrong," Sami said, Felix and Ana turned sharply to the door.

Sami was standing and watching them with his back against the wall. Sami played with a bloodstained knife right before the eyes of Ana and Felix.

"Just thought I would teach a lesson to you for making me a laughing stock," Sami said and walked out, a nasty smile on his face.

Mr Lorenzo's bodyguard came into the room, "it's time to go." he said.

After they returned to the mansion, everyone else was asleep and they also went to sleep.

*The next morning*

After breakfast, it was a free day for the men to go outside and do as they please. No training whatsoever for that day but that did not mean that the culprit for last night's event was not being searched for.

Felix was called into Mr Lorenzo's office in the mansion. He went inside after being permitted to and he closed the door behind him.

"Who do you think is responsible for what happened last night?" Mr Lorenzo asked Felix.

"I have no suspects," Felix answered Mr Lorenzo.

"And if you don't mind Mr Lorenzo, I want the issue to be dropped," Felix added.

"You see... This was what I liked about you. Your ability to impose your will on others. I don't understand why you don't use it. Unfortunately, you're weak in a physical battle... That's a major characteristic you lost for me." Mr Lorenzo said to Felix.

Felix smirked while Mr Lorenzo wasn't looking directly at him but quickly turned back to his straight face when their eyes meet.

"You can go." Mr Lorenzo said to Felix.

Felix left the office and almost bumped into Sami. Sami had also been called by Mr Lorenzo and he pushed passed Felix with his shoulder before entering the office and closing the door.

There was just one thing Felix was happy about that day and it was the fact that he could finally spend time with Diana, his girlfriend who he loved so much.

Felix went out and as he did, he dialled Diana's number and listened to his phone buzz until she picked up.

"Good morning darling!" Diana greeted Felix cheerfully.

"Hmm. Someone seems to be in a good mood today." Felix said to Diana. "Tell me what the good news is," Felix added.

"Well... What could make me happier than the fact that I'm meeting up with my boyfriend today? I have got so much to tell you, Felix. You just won't believe it." Diana said, still feeling excited.

"Just wait till we meet at our special place, Diana. I want to see your face while I listen to your chatter all day long." Felix said to Diana.

"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?!" Diana retorted.

Felix chuckled, "I'm on my way to our special place. Be there soon okay?" Felix said.

"Okay. Love you." Diana ended the call quickly before Felix could respond and Felix knew what Diana wanted.

The moment Felix put his phone back in his pocket, it rang again.

Felix took his phone out and saw that it was Lorenzo calling. Felix answered the call quickly before it could end.

"Where are you right now?" Lorenzo asked through the phone.

"Just in front of the gate sir," Felix answered.

"Good. Come back inside and straight to my office now." Mr Lorenzo directed Felix and cut the call.

Felix returned inside and knocked on the door of Mr Lorenzo's office.

"Come in." Mr Lorenzo said to Felix, from the other side of the door.

Felix walked in and saw Mr Lorenzo standing by his window and watching the front gate.

"If he could see me then why did he still ask where I was?" Felix wondered.

"I saw that you were particularly happy outside. Where were you planning to go?" Mr Lorenzo asked Felix.

"Nowhere special sir," Felix answered.

Lorenzo turned away from the window and faced Felix. Mr Lorenzo smiled slyly and walked forward to his desk. On Mr Lorenzo's desk, lay a big box.

"Then I guess you wouldn't mind being the one to deliver this package." Mr Lorenzo said to Felix.

"Where to?" Felix asked.

"The Richie's Mansion." Mr Lorenzo answered.
