“I am here to apply for the Endless.”
Jason ignored the disdainful look the guy behind the counter had when he placed the stack of papers in front of him.
He knew doing things like this was way outdated, but he had his reasons. Besides, it was clearly mentioned that the application could be delivered by hand.
The girl next to the guy looked at his face for a few seconds. It was as if she was trying to determine if he was joking or not. After a few seconds, she took the application into her hand and walked to a computer.
“Sir. Can you see if there are any errors in the details I enter?”
She pointed at the screen facing Jason.
“Sure.”
He stood in front of the screen as the girl skillfully entered his details into an online form. After that, she returned the form to him to check if everything was clear.
“It is correct.”
Jason felt relieved after checking everything for a second time. He didn’t want to get rejected even before getting started.
He gave the girl his credit card as he felt the pinch. Just a few minutes ago he received fifty-thousand dollars in his bank account. An amount that he had never seen in his entire life and now thirty-thousand from that money was gone.
‘Sigh.’
He felt a slight heartache when he saw his card getting accepted.
“Sir, please place your hand here.”
The girl placed a box-like machine on the counter.
For a moment, Jason failed to breathe, but he hurriedly made his expression calm before placing his hand on the box.
He didn’t know what the box was, but he knew the part that covered his arm when he placed his hand on it. It looked like a thin rectangular solar panel that covered half of his arm.
It was the Armband.
Every player would receive one of these when they entered the game, and all the other people would receive one when they entered the Yuriel five years later. It was the one that allowed them to understand all the languages.
This was the reason a global server wasn’t a problem, and this armband was much more advanced than anything else.
‘But this is from the World Builders. I hope it will be okay since there wasn’t a problem with it until the end.’
He had no issue with his armband until the last moment. Besides, this armband had more uses than translation. It was able to monitor the body condition of the user along with the ability to speak foreign languages. The unit actually sent the signals to the human brain.
“Thank you, sir. That is all.”
“Ah… Please give me three bottles of nutrient fluid.”
He didn’t take the card off her hand, because he had something else he needed to buy. This was the secret he was willing to share with Ashley Steel, but he still felt the pinch. It was three hundred dollars for the three bottles.
…
Jason saw Ashely was looking at the information about the Endless on her phone when he walked back to them.
There was a great sitting area in the building and the two girls were waiting for him there. He realised how rich they were when he came here in their Rolls-Royce.
“Here.”
He placed two silver-coloured bottles in front of the girls and sat on another chair with his bottle in hand. He really wanted to buy a few more of these, but he didn’t have a freezer to keep them for the time being.
“What is this?”
“It is what I wanted to tell you about. Take a sip.”
This secret would take more time to come out.
The drinkable version of the nutrient fluid was much more expensive compared to the one that came with the gaming cabin. However, the price skyrocketed when people learned the effects of this fluid.
As for exposing it this early, Jason had no regrets. He knew he wouldn’t be able to buy it for too long, and he wasn’t planning on relying on it for a very long time. He just wanted to use it to build up his body from its current weakened state.
For that, he planned to consume a bottle each day until the game was launched.
“This?”
Ashley looked at Jason with a puzzled look before reading the description of the bottle.
“You are the one who really should drink it.”
Jason looked at Freya. She would be the one to identify the real effects of the fluid.
“Me? Why?”
Freya still didn’t like this boy very much.
“Because you know who to fight. Weren’t you planning on attacking me when you came to talk to me?”
On the other hand, Jason didn’t care about her feelings at all. All he wanted was to have the rest of the money.
“Me? No.”
She denied the fact that she thought this guy was stalking them.
“Really? I thought you were about to jab my face from the left and pull out your gun from the right hand.”
“Huh?”
Freya was shaken when she heard those words. This was exactly what she was about to do, but she didn’t think this guy would have noticed it.
‘He was so relaxed even after knowing I was about to attack him?’
She suddenly started reevaluating Jason.
“You can fight with that body?”
“That is why I should get in shape. Try that and tell me the effect.”
Jason opened his bottle and took a sip. He was actually nervous and in a hurry. He was nervous because he never tasted one of these in his previous life and he had no idea if it was as effective as people said. The hurry was because of the desperation for that remaining fifty thousand.
‘Amazing.’
He felt the energy flowing inside his body the moment he took a sip. This reminded him of several potions he had when he was in Yuriel. Although this drink wasn’t like those magical potions, it had the effect he wanted. The energy was what he needed to build his body.
Freya gave a suspicious look to Jason before taking a sip from the bottle.
First, she frowned when the ice-cold liquid entered her body, but in the next second her eyes widened with surprise.
“Amazing!”
“Is it?”
Ashley was still reading the instructions.
“It is the best energy drink I ever had. I guess the price is reasonable. But… I don’t understand how this is going to affect The Endless.”
Freya was more than happy to spend her money on a drink like this, but that was because she loved to train.
“Did you read about The Endless? Did you guys see the part about the initial stats of the players that will depend on their actual body condition?”
“Yeah, I saw something like that.”
“Then does your studio actually have physically fit gamers?”
He knew most of the gamers were not into physical training.
“Wait. You want us to train them?”
Freya was the first to catch up.
“With this fluid, you can train your players within the next twenty-four days. Although it won’t have a miraculous effect, you can actually send in a group of physically fit people.”
“Can this be done?”
Ashley looked at her cousin for a piece of advice.
“It is not impossible.”
Freya was actually impressed by Jason. Although she still didn’t like him much, she admitted that he knew what he was doing.
“So… Is it worth it?”
Jason finally came to the real point. It was all about his fifty-thousand.
“Alright. I will agree, Mr Jason. But I still have a condition.”
This time, Ashley didn’t hesitate.
“Sigh. Name it.”
Jason really felt the effects of being poor. Just buying the cabin wasn't enough for him.
“I want you to join our Guild.”
“Ashley!”
Freya admitted Jason was impressive, but he wasn’t a pro gamer.
“But….”
Jason already rejected this once.
“Before you reject, I am not asking you to join my studio. Just the guild in The Endless.”
Ashley tapped Freya’s hand, giving her a signal to wait.
“And?”
Jason compromised a bit.
“Nothing much. Help us out if necessary.”
Jason fell into thought.
He saw a weird look on Freya’s face, but he had his reasons. This was Yuriel they were talking about. A world twenty times bigger than the earth with six large continents and countless island nations. A world that was full of danger and magic. To him, it wasn’t a game at all.
‘Sigh. I really need that money.’
He wasn’t sure about renting an apartment for a year, even in the suburbs, with the money he had. Besides, he needed a few more things.
“Alright, But I am moving on my own and I am not going to do guild tasks unless it is necessary.”
“Alright. I will ask my secretary to make an agreement and send it to you right now.”
Ashley answered happily.
…
“Are you sure about this, Ashley?”
“He already studied a lot about the game, Freya. He is useful. Besides, we can easily find where he is going to live.”
She already made an agreement with the guy and even introduced a real estate agent. She could easily find where he was going to live if he was to bail on her money. Steel corporations wasn’t some small company without power, and she knew how to do business.
“Do you think this drink can make a difference?”
“We might have to push them a bit, but yes.”
“Then there is nothing to worry about. As long as this game is good, we can earn much more.”

307 - Peace
"It is indeed impressive. No wonder those fools from the Brodice Kingdom are terrified of you."The hooded figure removed his invisibility, stepping out of the corner with composed movements. His voice was steady and regained the cool confidence of someone who knew his worth.“And you are indeed a powerful woman, Madam Amelia. This is my first time witnessing the presence of a Peak Grandmaster. They are… extremely rare. Rarer than Grand Wizards, in fact.”Despite his previous caution, the Master Wizard now carried himself with certainty. He wasn't someone easily intimidated—and though he wouldn’t pick a fight here, his pride wouldn’t allow him to remain cowering either.“Eh! The ghost is here! Catch it!” Hanna started struggling in Amelia’s arms with sparkling eyes.Amelia held her firmly."That is not a ghost, baby." Jason’s voice was gentle, but his gaze stayed fixed on the now-visible man.The atmosphere in the hall shifted.Tension rippled through the officials as they realised th

The atmosphere grew heavier, the tension thickening with each breath. The envoys from the Brodice Kingdom stood their ground, their jaws clenched in barely contained frustration.Their eyes—especially those of the Grandmasters—never left Amelia. There was fear there, even if none of them dared to admit it. One step too far, and they knew she could crush them where they stood.Still, their leader stepped forward, holding a scroll with trembling fingers masked by feigned authority.“We are envoys of the Brodice Kingdom,” he declared, voice echoing with forced confidence.“I stand here on behalf of His Majesty—the absolute ruler of our lands. In his name, we extend a proposal of peace. We are willing to lift the bounty on your head... in exchange for removing the bounties you have placed on His Majesty and his subjects.”His words were rehearsed—measured—but anyone could see the nerves behind them.“No.” The room froze. The envoy blinked.“W–What?” Even the officials of Light Shone looked
305 - Tell Me
‘This place… it’s really busy…’ The hooded figure observed the bustling administrative hall in silent awe. He had expected chaos—a disorganised mess of self-proclaimed rulers who were unfit to govern. But instead, what he saw was efficiency. Decisions were being made on the spot, minor issues were being resolved instantly, and orders were being swiftly relayed.Even without direct oversight, everything flowed seamlessly. The alien humans had a system, and they had something else, something his people lacked—Instant communication. He knew of it. They called it a forum or something.‘A divided authority, yet still centralised around a leader…’ His gaze flickered toward the two empty seats in the center of the hall. A symbol of true leadership. Those seated around them were not aristocrats, not nobles, but humble-looking men and women dressed in practical, simple clothing. Yet their eyes were sharp, their minds sharper. Each of them radiated competence.‘These aren’t placeholders. These
304 - An Overwhelming Prescence
‘So, this is Light Shone.’His hidden eyes scanned the streets as he walked leisurely, moving unseen alongside the startled envoys.‘Still too small, but… this is serious potential.’He had slipped out of the carriage as the guards inspected it, effortlessly avoiding their scrutiny. While his invisibility shielded him from their eyes, he still occupied physical space—and he preferred not to take the risk of being noticed. With measured steps, he blended into the bustling streets. What he saw defied his expectations. The village was alive. It wasn’t just busy—it thrived.Shops occupied every available space, their owners negotiating prices with eager customers. People bustled past him, engaged in work yet carrying an air of contentment, their movements purposeful, their faces filled with ease. This was not the Light Shone he remembered.‘Back then, it was different.’It had been just as lively, but the stench of blood clung to the air, and signs of death lurked at every corner. "Is this... alright, My Lord?""Yes. And pretend I was never here. Once we pass through, you won’t see me again. Do you understand? No one must know I was ever here.""Yes! Yes, My Lord!""And... no one else knows I am here, correct?" The hooded figure’s voice sharpened deliberately."N-No! No, My Lord! We... we are departing soon!" The envoy stammered, his body trembling as he hastily retreated to the far corner of the carriage.‘Sigh… How useless.’The hooded man barely spared him another glance. The Brodice Kingdom had neither the power nor the will to resist the Grand Order that had been issued. It had been nearly a decade since the last decree from the Grand Wizards, and that one had shaken the world, announcing the arrival of an immortal alien.‘But this might be the first time in centuries that they had to step in to stop a minor war.’He turned his gaze to the passing scenery outside the carriage window, watching in silence. No one, aside from the envoy and a handful of high-ra
302 - No Longer Human
"Grandmaster Amelia…""He’s playing with Hanna and his magic," Amelia cut Dane off before he could finish, hanging the freshly washed clothes on the line.Even after a year of constant change in Light Shone, this small household had remained the same. It was still under Amelia’s care. The village’s housing structure remained untouched as new construction projects focused on essential production facilities and accommodations for the new settlers arriving through the ongoing clearing operations. Infrastructure plans were in place, but progress was slow due to the sheer number of projects they were juggling. If Jason or Amelia had wanted, they could have easily upgraded their home—no one would have objected. After all, this small house was the heart of the Crystal Pulse, the centre of absolute power within the faction. Yet, despite its democratic structure, the organization operated with near-perfect coordination. The faction under Magnus from the Secret Service, the Saintess Guild, the
