“Can I meet Envoy Boris?”
Jason saw the two guards looking at him with curious eyes.
“Sure… Go right in.”
Jason gave them an acknowledging nod before walking into the building.
The first thing he realised was that the building was actually an Inn. The wooden tables, the smell of alcohol and the dim light were obvious signs.
He was afraid, but he had no choice but to push forward. First, he had to learn where he was and if this was the real Yuriel. The best way to get accurate information was from a man like Boris.
There were five people inside, and a wooden staircase connected the two floors.
He saw Envy Boris, a woman that had a lean but tough build, a dark man that reminded him of a giant bear, and another in a cloak leaning against a wooden post. The woman sat on a bench with her feet on the table while the well-built man was already drinking.
The last person looked like the owner of the place, who stood behind the counter.
‘Adventurers?’
The group looked tough, but they were out of place for an official Envoy. Unless these people were the emergency aid.
“What can I do for you?”
Boris was already too annoyed with these people. He remembered this young man, the only person who even gave a nod to acknowledge him. Still, he wasn’t very happy with this bunch of people.
“Can I ask you some questions, sir?”
After living for so long in Yuriel, Jason knew ethics and the way to treat another person.
‘Interesting.’
Boris felt his mood getting instantly lifted.
“Sure, what do you want to know, kid?”
“About this world. Some basic rules and where exactly am I!”
“I told you the rules, kid. Didn’t you listen?”
“You told me about the rules of Alexandria, sir. But I don’t even know the borders of Alexandria. Besides, I have no idea what rules I have to follow outside the town.”
“Hm… Now that is something to know about, eh? Come on, let me tell you about Yuriel.”
Jason thought his heart would pop out of his chest. The planet was Yuriel. He was back in the place where he died.
He came back to reality when he heard the door to the building opening up. Two people wearing the same clothes as him entered the building. One man and a woman. Their body language told him that they were not here together.
The man was a black guy in his early thirties. He had curly black hair trimmed short, and a clean shaved jaw. His build instantly reminded Jason of a soldier.
The other person was a woman with short, blond hair. She was at least 170cm tall and had a pair of sharp brown eyes. Her appearance gave Jason a European vibe.
He knew these people must have followed him.
He felt several eyes on him as he entered the building, anyway. He didn’t care about it much.
After looking at both of them, he turned his attention back to Boris.
“Alright. Here it is. Come on.”
Boris took the large map of the Yuriel and nodded at the young man. He also noticed the two people enter, but he was already talking to someone. Besides, these people didn’t seem to be interested in him. Rather, they seemed to be interested in this young man.
“Brother, mind if I listen?”
Jason looked over his shoulder at the black guy who made the request.
“I am not the one talking.”
He could guess the mentality of this guy. He was the player while Boris was an NPC. It made him wonder if this well-built man was actually a player, or if his faction was hiding the truth.
By the looks of it, Jason thought this man was a fellow American, but it wasn’t his business. He looked back at Boris.
His eyes widened for a second before his mind completely went blank. The well-drawn map was something he had seen a thousand times before.
He completely failed to notice the two players coming and standing beside him and Boris started to describe Yuriel with slight dissatisfaction.
“Brother, do you mind if I record it?”
Jason shook his head in a daze. He barely heard the question. He didn’t even notice the girl next to him also starting to record Boris's explanation.
On the other hand, Boris thought Jason was listening to him with real interest, making him feel much more spirited.
‘It… It is real.’
He looked at the giant map with six large continents and an uncountable number of scattered islands. Giant lakes, mountain ranges, and some rivers were as big as small cities on Earth. It was the Yuriel He knew.
Out of the six continents, the largest was the central continent. Two Grand Wizards held the authority of this continent. The two most powerful of the six Grand Wizards; The Angel of Death and the Angel of Life. This was the continent all the humans of the Earth would enter five years later. From there, the other factions would escort them to different continents and islands.
The Eastern Continent had the Grand Wizard of fire, while the West was held by the Grand Wizard of water.
The Grand Wizard of the Ice and the Grand Wizard of Earth held respectively the Northern and Southern continents.
The only continent without the influence of a Grand Wizard was the South Western continent which held factions belonging to each Grand Wizard.
He barely heard the description as he watched the map in a daze.
“Boy… Is that enough?”
“Ah… Yes. But… Where are we?”
Everything that he saw brought him back many memories, but he was still a man who had a will.
“Here… I told you, Alexandria.”
Boris suddenly wondered if this kid didn’t hear anything he said. He placed his finger on the edge of the map.
“Near the Dark forest?”
Jason realised why he had never heard of Alexandria.
First, he never left the Central Continent. Second, this was the lawless South Western continent. Even at that, the place Boris showed was the edge of civilization in the continent; near the Dark Forest that covered more than three-quarters of the South Western continent.
“Actually, we are in the town closest to the Dark Forest, kid. Forestedge.”
Boris nodded his head in acknowledgement.
‘This kid actually listened. Good!’
He took out the second map, spreading it across the table.
“This is the Forestedge and its surroundings.”
Jason clenched his teeth for a moment, but he paid all his attention to Boris.
…
Jason thought of his situation.
The Dark Forest was said to be among one of the most dangerous places in Yuriel. At the same time, he couldn’t ignore the possibility of trying his luck in a small place like this. It was safer but had fewer resources.
‘Fewer resources I can access, but there is the Dark Forest.’
He fell into thought.
He had no armour, no weapon, not even a magic pouch or basic potions. He felt like he was naked.
“Thank you, Envoy Boris. I have one more question.”
“Ask away, kid.”
“Is there a way for me to earn some money?”
“Money?”
“As you see, I have nothing.”
“Hm… There is one thing you can do. I have a message that needs to be delivered to the Light Shone. If you can deliver it and come back here. I can give you the payment.”
“What is the message?”
He didn’t hesitate.
“This.”
Boris actually kept the message close to him. Because it was important. He suddenly felt as if he was out of his mind to give this to such a weak-looking kid.
“That?”
Jason frowned when he saw the scroll with a silver seal. He didn’t know the markings on it, but it wasn’t a simple message.
“That looks important.”
“It is… Actually to a retired Wizard.”
“A wizard?”
This was certainly an opportunity for Jason. Although some people might not be easy to communicate with, he could give it a try. Meeting a Wizard this early wasn’t within his expectation.
“The road to the Light Shone Shouldn’t be that dangerous during the day, right?”
“Not during the day.”
Boris confirmed with regret. He saw the others giving him weird eyes, but he had to maintain his dignity.
“I will take it.”
Jason didn’t hesitate anymore. He had to earn the money, and meeting the Wizard was even more important.

307 - Peace
"It is indeed impressive. No wonder those fools from the Brodice Kingdom are terrified of you."The hooded figure removed his invisibility, stepping out of the corner with composed movements. His voice was steady and regained the cool confidence of someone who knew his worth.“And you are indeed a powerful woman, Madam Amelia. This is my first time witnessing the presence of a Peak Grandmaster. They are… extremely rare. Rarer than Grand Wizards, in fact.”Despite his previous caution, the Master Wizard now carried himself with certainty. He wasn't someone easily intimidated—and though he wouldn’t pick a fight here, his pride wouldn’t allow him to remain cowering either.“Eh! The ghost is here! Catch it!” Hanna started struggling in Amelia’s arms with sparkling eyes.Amelia held her firmly."That is not a ghost, baby." Jason’s voice was gentle, but his gaze stayed fixed on the now-visible man.The atmosphere in the hall shifted.Tension rippled through the officials as they realised th
306 - The Messenger
The atmosphere grew heavier, the tension thickening with each breath. The envoys from the Brodice Kingdom stood their ground, their jaws clenched in barely contained frustration.Their eyes—especially those of the Grandmasters—never left Amelia. There was fear there, even if none of them dared to admit it. One step too far, and they knew she could crush them where they stood.Still, their leader stepped forward, holding a scroll with trembling fingers masked by feigned authority.“We are envoys of the Brodice Kingdom,” he declared, voice echoing with forced confidence.“I stand here on behalf of His Majesty—the absolute ruler of our lands. In his name, we extend a proposal of peace. We are willing to lift the bounty on your head... in exchange for removing the bounties you have placed on His Majesty and his subjects.”His words were rehearsed—measured—but anyone could see the nerves behind them.“No.” The room froze. The envoy blinked.“W–What?” Even the officials of Light Shone looked
305 - Tell Me
‘This place… it’s really busy…’ The hooded figure observed the bustling administrative hall in silent awe. He had expected chaos—a disorganised mess of self-proclaimed rulers who were unfit to govern. But instead, what he saw was efficiency. Decisions were being made on the spot, minor issues were being resolved instantly, and orders were being swiftly relayed.Even without direct oversight, everything flowed seamlessly. The alien humans had a system, and they had something else, something his people lacked—Instant communication. He knew of it. They called it a forum or something.‘A divided authority, yet still centralised around a leader…’ His gaze flickered toward the two empty seats in the center of the hall. A symbol of true leadership. Those seated around them were not aristocrats, not nobles, but humble-looking men and women dressed in practical, simple clothing. Yet their eyes were sharp, their minds sharper. Each of them radiated competence.‘These aren’t placeholders. These
304 - An Overwhelming Prescence
‘So, this is Light Shone.’His hidden eyes scanned the streets as he walked leisurely, moving unseen alongside the startled envoys.‘Still too small, but… this is serious potential.’He had slipped out of the carriage as the guards inspected it, effortlessly avoiding their scrutiny. While his invisibility shielded him from their eyes, he still occupied physical space—and he preferred not to take the risk of being noticed. With measured steps, he blended into the bustling streets. What he saw defied his expectations. The village was alive. It wasn’t just busy—it thrived.Shops occupied every available space, their owners negotiating prices with eager customers. People bustled past him, engaged in work yet carrying an air of contentment, their movements purposeful, their faces filled with ease. This was not the Light Shone he remembered.‘Back then, it was different.’It had been just as lively, but the stench of blood clung to the air, and signs of death lurked at every corner. "Is this... alright, My Lord?""Yes. And pretend I was never here. Once we pass through, you won’t see me again. Do you understand? No one must know I was ever here.""Yes! Yes, My Lord!""And... no one else knows I am here, correct?" The hooded figure’s voice sharpened deliberately."N-No! No, My Lord! We... we are departing soon!" The envoy stammered, his body trembling as he hastily retreated to the far corner of the carriage.‘Sigh… How useless.’The hooded man barely spared him another glance. The Brodice Kingdom had neither the power nor the will to resist the Grand Order that had been issued. It had been nearly a decade since the last decree from the Grand Wizards, and that one had shaken the world, announcing the arrival of an immortal alien.‘But this might be the first time in centuries that they had to step in to stop a minor war.’He turned his gaze to the passing scenery outside the carriage window, watching in silence. No one, aside from the envoy and a handful of high-ra
302 - No Longer Human
"Grandmaster Amelia…""He’s playing with Hanna and his magic," Amelia cut Dane off before he could finish, hanging the freshly washed clothes on the line.Even after a year of constant change in Light Shone, this small household had remained the same. It was still under Amelia’s care. The village’s housing structure remained untouched as new construction projects focused on essential production facilities and accommodations for the new settlers arriving through the ongoing clearing operations. Infrastructure plans were in place, but progress was slow due to the sheer number of projects they were juggling. If Jason or Amelia had wanted, they could have easily upgraded their home—no one would have objected. After all, this small house was the heart of the Crystal Pulse, the centre of absolute power within the faction. Yet, despite its democratic structure, the organization operated with near-perfect coordination. The faction under Magnus from the Secret Service, the Saintess Guild, the
