Amber’s eyes were getting heavy, and her muscles were losing power—along with the flames that once burned brightly around her.

She had already done her best, but it wasn’t enough. No matter what she tried, there was nothing left she could do.

As a last resort, she attempted to escape the spatial bubble by heating her body to extreme temperatures. But at this point, Amber had pushed herself too far. She could no longer manifest large flames—she had lost too much energy in the fight.

Is this my end? Amber thought as her eyes slowly began to close. Her mind drifted to memories she made in the city, the friends she created… and most importantly, those from the orphanage where she grew up.

Having her friend kill her seemed tragic, but deep in her heart, Amber didn’t think it was so bad…

She had betrayed them, even if not intentionally. Back then, she was just a scared and powerless kid.

Her vision faded into darkness.

Amber closed her eyes, accepting that she had been defeated.

  • Chapter 100: Obstacles

Ayumi, along with her group, had just emerged from the dense forest when a series of thunderous explosions echoed from deep within the trees. The violent tremors rattled the ground, and there was no mistaking it—the epicenter of that destruction was the battle Amber was currently engaged in.Ayumi instinctively turned her head, her eyes filled with worry as smoke curled upward in the distance. “Is all of that really necessary…?” she whispered to herself, unease tightening in her chest. The sheer scale of destruction felt beyond excessive. At the front of the group, Noah marched ahead without hesitation, courage emanating from every step he took. Ayumi’s gaze fell on his back, steady and unshaken. “I never realized he was this brave,” she murmured. “He’s… strong. Not just in power, but in heart. I should learn from him.” She quickly wiped away the tear that had formed in the corner of her eye, refusing

  • Chapter 99: Amber vs Robin

While staring at Robin, Amber couldn’t help but look confused. Her memories pulled her back to that terrifying day—the terrorist attack orchestrated by Saint White. Back then, Robin had confronted Saint White directly. The two had exchanged countless devastating blows, and in the end, Robin had been defeated. Amber had assumed he was dead.“S-Class… Robin…” she muttered under her breath. Then she stepped forward with determined eyes. “Lynn… Noah… I’ll handle this man. The rest of you go on and continue the mission without me.”“What? Are you serious? Are you planning to face him alone?” Lynn asked, clearly worried.Amber turned to her and flashed a peace sign, her signature grin spreading across her face. “Don’t worry about me. Don’t forget—I’m also an almighty S-Class ability user. Just like him.”As soon as she finished speaking,

  • Chapter 98: Questioning and Connection

"I know you’re already awake, so quit faking it,"Amber said, holding a tray stacked with roasted meat. She stood in front of the two nuns tied to a tree, her usual smirk in full display."I bet you two won’t be able to resist this smell. Freshly roasted, straight from the fire, still juicy…"She slowly brought the tray closer, letting the delicious aroma waft over to them."Open your eyes... the meat is calling. Open up and say 'ahhh~'…"The smaller nun was visibly struggling. Though her eyes stayed shut, her body twitched, and drool escaped the corner of her lips. She turned her head away in desperation, but her nose clearly hadn’t given up. The blonde nun, the one with the green book, clenched her jaw tightly while shifting restlessly, audibly gulping her saliva. It crossed my mind that maybe they didn’t eat meat. Some religions don’t allow it, right? Maybe that’s why they’re resisting s

  • Chapter 97: Camping

Afterward, we decided to tie down the two nuns, now unconscious after Amber’s devastating punches.“Vacation to Hawaii secured!” she exclaimed with a proud grin.Seriously… why is she so obsessed with having a vacation in Hawaii? All of the maidens looked utterly exhausted after everything that happened. So, we decided to take a break and make camp in the forest nearby. The stars were already twinkling above us, and the air had a slight chill, but it was peaceful for once. A moment of calm.According to our current route, we need to reach the train station in the southern outskirts of Neo Silicon Valley. From there, we’ll board a train that leads directly to the airport in Midori City. It sounded simple, but something told me it wouldn’t be.Ayumi sat with Lynn, roasting marshmallows over a small fire. The flames danced in their eyes, but it was obvious Ayumi’s mind was somewhere far away. She hadn’t eve

  • Chapter 96: Holy Temple

We ran at full speed, dodging shattered branches and leaping over burning roots, and even from a distance, we could still see Amber locked in fierce combat.Fire raged and explosions shook the entire forest. The trees had become charred husks, the air thick with smoke and heat. The battle only grew more intense with each passing minute."Like I told you before, your flames will never touch me,"said a young woman standing calmly amidst the chaos. She wore a pristine white nun's uniform, completely untouched by the inferno around her. Floating in front of her was a green book, glowing faintly, seemingly acting as a barrier. In her left hand, she gripped the arm of Momoka—who was clutching tightly to the golden book, her knuckles pale from the strain.I had never seen Amber struggling like this before. She was powerful, nearly unbeatable in most situations. If even she was being pushed back, then this nun must be terrifyingly strong.

  • Chapter 95: Ambush and Deal

The maiden who held the golden book was named Momoka. According to Ayumi, she possessed an ability known as Absolute Stealth, which allowed her to become completely invisible as long as she held her breath. Even more impressively, while in that stealth state, she was invincible—untouchable by any attack. That made her the perfect guardian of the golden book. But even her perfect defense had a flaw. Before we could make it out of the shrine, Momoka was suddenly taken—ambushed and pulled underground by the enemy faction.“The hole’s gone too deep… There’s no way to reach them right now,” Ayumi said grimly, staring at the gaping wound in the earth.“We can’t fail within one second of leaving the shrine,” Amber muttered, her tone sharp and serious. She placed her hand on the ground, closing her eyes in concentration. “The passage through the ground curved… I think I can trace where the
