CHAPTER ELEVEN

I drove my space ship to my destination. Telling the rest to be careful once I leave. To keep the spaceship in invisible mode. Not until I get back.

But Talon has already left to do what he was supposed to do to keep both him and Twelve safe. And I was going to free the boy if I needed to survive what Xenda might send my way. Because I just started a war with him. Getting myself involved because I might have feelings for his daughter and because I might just want to save the world at large.

I got up, and she took over. Then I put on my armour and helmet. Then walked to the door as she landed the ship in a dust place. It looked like a desert. No sign of water or anything apart from sand. I wonder how I always end up in such places. Stupid planets.

I looked at Twelve who I noticed was looking at me. Worried. Was this how he was programmed? To be all nice to anyone he meets. Because we just met and he was acting as if we have known each other for some time now.

Was that what Talon just taught him? But again, known the cat too well, I’m sure he wouldn’t tell his cat to act all nice on people. They wouldn’t have survived this far.

Could he just sense if someone is a good person or what?

I smiled as I rested my hand on his shoulder, “Trevor will be back, okay? Now you and the princess here need to keep yourselves safe until me and Talon are back. Stay just out there. Don’t go anyway for any reason at all,” I told him. “You know you are a princess. I don’t know why you like to think otherwise,” I told her and went out.

I waited for them to leave before I began walking forward. Looking in all directions for anything. The last time, the place was a bit more clouded. But something might have happened since the time I visited them. They might have moved somewhere, maybe. Made some improvements with their planet because everyone seemed to be making improvements as means of keeping themselves safe.

But the place is supposed to be full of people. People that have been sent to get the kid as well. My competitors. But I saw no one here.

I opened up my screen and began scanning the place for anything at all. AnY life nearby. Then I spotted red dots on the screen and it showed me a map. Kind of.

I began walking as the wind blew even more. Dust making its way everywhere. Making it impossible for anyone to see me or me to see them. Which was both good and bad.

I stopped where the red dots still beamed. But there was no one. I was still alone. But the dots still pointed there. I began looking at the ground as the arrow pointed there. Moving as much sand as I could.

Then, after I lost all hope, I reached some kind of door. Metal door. I didn’t know what to do, so I did the only stupid thing that came to mind. Try going inside and get the hell out of this place with the kid.

But did they also hear about the infinite stones? For them moving underground for no one to see them. Even when Xenda will locate them in a heartbeat.

Finally, after struggling, the door opened, and I began walking down the stairs. This crap is going to suck big time.

I went in and shut the door. They made the whole place of steel. And I’m sure it’s something you can’t drill in. When you are locked, you are locked for good.

As I began walking down the passageway, I realized I had heard nothing alarming. Anything to let me know people were already here.

I mean, I was locked for some hours. And we have been driving here for about two hours. And yet there was no one here yet.

Could this have been a trap? Because Ugly was looking for me because of the stone. And my people were looking for me because I escaped from prison and I nearly killed the lord of our planet.

I burnished all the thoughts away as I heard voices coming my way. I looked around and there was nowhere to run. The only way was going back, but that was not going to happen.

I walked as first as I could until I reached the corner. Then I stopped. Waiting for the people to reach me. I never wanted to alert the people inside by any means necessary. But with nowhere else to run, I might as well do that. Letting them know I’m here to get the kid.

The voices grew louder, and all I did was get my weapons ready. My gun mostly. Then my dagger in one hand. Then I pressed on my ear and my helmet came on. Pressed my shoulder and my armour appeared. Covering my body in protectiveness. I love my dad for that.

I sighed as I rolled on the floor and then shot and threw my dagger. Hoping to kill two birds with two stones. Then I went running just as fast. Pressing for my laser sword to appear.

I stretched it but the man sidestepped and kicked me on my ribs. Sending me flipping on the floor about paces away.

I swiftly got up as I looked at their raged faces. “Hey friends. I didn’t know it was you. I thought it was an intruder,” I spoke smiling. Hoping against hope.

They looked at each other. The one I stubbed with the dagger on the shoulder. Unlucky me. Removed the dagger and then removed the blood with his tongue.

“You will die coming here. This is not a place for people like you. But you are welcome to die. Our dogs need your fresh,” He spoke and his long teeth came out.

Not like vampire teeth. Because as he opened his mouth, I saw small teeth all the way to his throat. And his tongue was that of a snake like.

Then, before I knew it, their eyes turned as well. Their pupils looking more dilated. They came running my way. Making hiss sounds. No wonder they didn’t have a problem leaving for a place that has no water at all.

I stretched my hand, and my dagger appeared in my hands. Then I went running towards them as well.

I ducked by hurriedly put my dagger on my stomach. Allowing the one I stubbed early to kick the dagger. It went into his foot and he screamed. Alarming people nearly by.

I then uppercut the other one, and he lifted two feet up, then slammed his ass on the steel floor. I raised my sword at him and he just raised his hands in surrender.

He swiftly swept me off my feet and then kicked me, sending me sliding five feet from him.

I removed my gun and shot his friend. The bastard’s blood splashed all over the other snake, dude.

Then before I shot at him, he send some star thing and my gun got damaged. I knew I should have gotten more than one gun.

I got up, and we began circling each other. This wasn’t something I was expecting. Yes, I was expecting to find people that might want to kill me because they also wanted to free the child. But not crazy snake dudes.

I went running towards him. Hoping to decapitate the man.
