Chapter 7
Author: Blanco Burn
Serena had tears all over her face, her pursed lips shook uncontrollably as she looked at what was happening and the man's resolute face in disbelief.

At the moment she had accepted her death... Xayne appeared! Yes. The man she had yearned for the past five years, showed up at the very last moment.

Serena could not help but cry out loud when she thought about that. "Boo-hoo, you're back. You're finally back..."

Xayne looked at the tiny Serena in his arms, who had tears all over her eyes. He reached out and gently wiped the blood off her face. When he saw the bullet hole in her right shoulder, just a palm away from a heart, the murderous aura in him surged through the sky! Damn it! Damn it!

"Ouch! Boo-hoo..." And in that tall building, behind that shattered window, Tristan was stepping on Lindsey, who was badly injured and trying to break free.

Lindsey teared up and a smile flashed across her face she saw how Serena had been saved by the heroic man down below. She had been completely shocked by how Xayne jumped into the air to catch Serena.

'It looked exactly like a movie scene, how touching! That man looked like a superhero. Wait...' A possibility popped into Lindsey's head. 'Could he be... Coco's father?!'

"Serena, you made it. You finally made it. I hope that you can live happily with him from now on and never come to a place like this ever again..."

In the end, with Tristan's gun pointing at her, Lindsey slowly closed her eyes and said that.

Bang!

Tristan fired his gun and shot both of Lindsey's legs. Her scream echoed throughout the entire building. Then, he glared at Xayne and Serena who were locked in an embrace, with his eyes filled with resentment, and yelled, "Get down there now! I'm going to kill that bitch!"

Thump! Thump! Thump!

The sound of footsteps echoed across the building. Very soon, Tristan led more than ten men in black suits and appeared at the magnificent and resplendent entrance of the Platinum Palace Hotel. Then, he saw Xayne, who was slowly getting up while holding Serena tightly in his arms.

"Fuck! Who are you?! How dare you save her?! Do you have a death wish?!"

Tristan rushed toward Xayne aggressively and pointed his gun at the middle of Xayne's brows.

At that very moment, Tristan's gun was just an arm away from Xayne's forehead! The cold wind blew, and a few birds suddenly flew across the sky, making a terrifying screeching sound as if they came straight from hell!

However, Xayne did not look at Tristan at all. Instead, his eyes were locked on Serena, who had blood all over her body lying in his arms. The guilt of the past five years erupted in him.

Then, Xayne moved his lips and said in a hoarse voice, "I'm sorry, Serena. I'm going to bring you home and see Coco."

Serena leaned on Xayne's chest and nodded weakly. She was exhausted... that hug made her feel the warmth she had not felt in the past five years. She wished that time would stop at that moment forever, so she could stay in Xayne's warm embrace forever.

Xayne was about to walk right past Tristan after saying those words, and that made Tristan's blood boil. He directly pointed his gun against the edge of Xayne's forehead and shouted, "I'm going to blow your head off if you dare to take her away!"

Tristan was not stupid, and he could already guess who that man in front of him was. 'This is the man that Serena's been thinking about, and the reason why she keeps rejecting me! He's the father of that bastard kid!'

However, Xayne side-eyed him and that alone was enough to freeze Tristan in place. Xayne was terrifying and looked like a bloodthirsty demon!

'He's horrifying! He looks like he could kill me with just his finger if he wanted to!'

Tristan panicked and subconsciously took a few steps backward as he stuttered, "I'm the heir of the Golding family. My father is Andre Golding, one of the four most prominent figures in Shalholm! I-If you dare to harm me, you, this woman, and that bastard child waiting to die in the hospital will all have to die!"

Tristan felt like all his energy was drained as if he had just been fished out of the water.

He had no idea why he was so afraid that he had to use his father's name to intimidate the man in front of him. However, the fear he felt was real.

Serena recollected herself at that time and said while enduring the sharp pain on her shoulder, "Xavier, let me go. Otherwise, neither of us will make this out alive. Leave first and take good care of Coco for me. She's still in the hospital, and she's been wanting to meet you..."

Serena had decided to keep Xayne safe, even if it meant sacrificing her own life.

However, Xayne held Serena, who was struggling, even tighter. Then, he said with a faint smile, "Don't worry. I've already sent someone to get Coco to safety."

When Serena heard those words, tears poured out of her eyes as she sobbed. She was finally relieved from the pressure she had been feeling, "Are you serious? Boo-hoo..."

"Ah! Die! I'm going to kill you!" Tristan could not stand it anymore. He wanted to pull the trigger as he did not want any loose ends.

However, before he could even realize what was happening, his arm was bent ninety degrees, and the gun that he was holding suddenly appeared in Xayne's hand!

"Ah!"

Half a minute later, Tristan kneeled on the ground while holding his broken right arm with a suffering look on his face. His body trembled as he looked at the man who looked like a vicious demon and shouted, "No! You can't kill me! My father is Andre Golding! I'll pay you if you let me live! I'll pay you one million, ten million, or even a hundred million! I'll pay you! Please, don't kill me!"

Xayne's eyes were cold. He was holding Serena, who was already standing at that time, with one hand, and aimed the gun at Tristan with another. Then, he said with an extremely icy expression, "You deserve to die."

"No... no... He's the heir of the Golding family. We can't afford to cross him! Go now!" Serena was worried that Xayne would kill Tristan out of impulse and cause even bigger trouble, so she tried to stop him.

At that time, the bodyguards behind Tristan seized the opportunity and pulled out knives and batons as they shouted at Xayne.

"Protect Mr. Golding!"

As they charged toward them, Serena shut her eyes in fear, but the look on Xayne's face remained calm. He just stood there while hugging her without moving an inch. He swept his gaze across Tristan's men, and all of them suddenly froze in place. None of them dared to get any closer to him.

They were all frozen in terror.

The man was surrounded in a horrifying and bloodthirsty aura.

"Go! Get him! Kill him now! I'll pay whoever can kill him a million dollars! No, ten million dollars!" Tristan yelled, fleeing to the side.

Money never failed to build brave men.

"Ah!" Somebody could not resist the temptation as he shouted and tried to stab Xayne with his knife!

However, Xayne kicked him in the stomach. With a loud bang, that person flew several feet away before falling onto a Bentley, and its hood was dented!

Then, more of them went rushing at Xayne, but all of them ended up on the ground and could not get up at all.

As Tristan watched how vicious was while hiding at the side, he could not stop swallowing and his forehead was filled with cold sweat!

He turned around and tried to run away without saying anything.

However, with a swoosh sound, Xayne lifted his leg and kicked a knife that was lying on the ground. It sliced through the night sky and pierced right through Tristan's right leg!

"Ah! Don't come near me. Go away!" Tristan lay in a puddle of blood and spoke. He clutched his right leg that would not stop bleeding as he looked at Xayne, who was approaching him step by step like a grim reaper, terrified.

Xayne was walking very slowly, and the murderous aura around him could not feel any stronger! There was just no way that he would let Tristan, that scum who also got his daughter killed in a car accident and almost shot Serena to death, live. He desperately wanted to murder him, but he could not do it. He could not let him off so easily. He had to make him suffer, and the entire Golding family would have to pay for what they had done as well!

Xayne was enraged! The King of the North's wrath could burn everything down!

"No! Please! Xayne, I'm begging you. Don't do this!" Serena quickly grabbed Xayne's arm, who looked exactly like a reaper and said with tears all over her eyes, "He's the heir of the Golding family of Shalholm. His father, Andre Golding, is an extremely powerful and influential man here! We can't afford to mess with them! Please, let him go! I don't want to see anything bad happening to you and Coco anymore... Boo-hoo..."

Xayne stopped walking. He held Serena in his arms and pressed his forehead tightly against hers. "Serena, don't you know? Even if I spare him today, he'll never let us off the hook. Trust me, I can handle this."

Then, he turned around and grabbed the knives on the ground before walking toward Tristan, who was trying to crawl away with a trail of blood behind him.

Tristan just kept crawling. He desperately tried to escape as he screamed like a madman.

However, Xayne raised the knives and pierced them through all four of Tristan's limbs, pinning him down on the ground!

"Ah! How dare you do this to me! You're going to die a painful death! Not only you, but the woman beside you, and your daughter will go to hell with you too!" Tristan shouted crazily. His four limbs were pinned to the ground, and he could not move at all. The sharp pain would cause him to wrench in agony all over even with the slightest movement.

Serena covered her eyes as she did not dare to look at what happened. She got so anxious, and she could not stop persuading Xayne, "Xayne, leave now, go! The people from the Golding family will be here soon. They'll never let you go if you don't leave now! I'm begging you. Please!"

Xayne kept quiet as he looked at Serena, who kept pushing him away. Xayne was not afraid of the Golding family at all. He could easily wipe them out just anytime if he wanted to.

"Argh..." Serena grunted as if trying to push Xayne away caused her wound to hurt more, and she was going to collapse. Xayne quickly grabbed her and said, "Serena, are you okay?"

Serena fell into Xayne's eyes and burst into tears. "Go! Get out of here now! I don't want Coco to lose his dad..."

However, a shout as loud as thunder came from afar. "Stop right there! How dare you do this to my nephew! You're dead!"

Suddenly, more than ten black MPVs came from all directions around the Platinum Palace Hotel, and about a hundred people arrived at the scene. All of them were holding either a machete or a baton, following behind a squared face man in a black trench coat and a fedora, who was smoking a pipe.

From Horin's perspective, all he had to do was lend Xayne a hand, earn his gratitude, and that was enough. That was why Horin had treated him so favorably. I do not know," Yeti replied with the utmost reverence.Horin suddenly shifted his gaze to Xayne. "The secret of the Nine Luminaries of the Heavenly Stars… lies like the self—no thoughts, no desires, no life, no death! It does not rely on the power of the stars! The world follows the Path of Veyara, but what is the Path of Veyara? The radiance of the stars is not true light." His words were spoken softly as if he were merely muttering to himself—or perhaps offering Xayne a lesson.Xayne's heart stirred. Horin’s insight was astounding. They placed Horin far beyond the comprehension of ordinary cultivators."Magnetic fields… are simply the pull of the stars. They have al

Fent would have easily blocked this spear had he not taken that devastating palm strike. But now, his entire right side was caved in. One arm hung limply, the other completely empty. No sword, no weapon, not even a sliver of metal remained to block Xayne’s spear. It was no different from trying to catch a nuclear warhead.Yet, Fent had no choice. His retreat had already been cut off. If he turned his back, he would only meet a deadly stab from behind—a certain death sentence."If I die—then I'll drag you down with me!" The sheer force of the sword energy alone shattered the nearby trees into splinters.Xayne lunged forward, spear in hand, as a formation flared to life around him. In an instant, multiple spear projections erupted outward, each infused with lethal intent, hurtling toward Fent from every angle."Not good! Fall back quickly!" Elder Stringer suddenly shouted toward Fent. But at that very moment, just as the spears were about to pierce into Fent's body, a faint smile appeared at the corner of Fent's lips. It went exactly as he had planned. From the very start, his attacks had merely been probing. Through those exchanges, Fent had already figured out that Xayne's strength was high, but his battle exp
