Her Gratittude

Chapter 5

Alexandra and Harold come out in the Carinderia together with the two guys. Rhianna roamed her gazed in the Carinderia. Everyone is still shocked about what happened.

"Let's go. We have something to discuss." Leonardo said to Rhianna.

Leonardo takes Rhianna's hand and they exited into the Carinderia. Rhianna looked back and she saw Brandon who was behind them. She saw that Brandon was looking at their hands.

They reach the parking area where Leo's car was parked. He immediately opens the passenger seat for Rhianna. Rhianna abord to the car. Leo goes to the driver's seat and aboard also. Miracle! He's a gentleman now. Leonardo drove the car and followed the car that Alexandra and Harold were aboard.

"Why did you do that?" he asked her. She knew what he was talking about. It is what she's done to the guy who has shade.

"To save you. He's gonna stab you." she answered.

"But you should not do that, I can manage myself." he defended.

She will no longer allow even the rescue he did to Leo to be opposed.  There was nothing wrong with what she did. She has already saved Leo. Is he still angry? She did nothing right.  Suddenly her tears dripped, because of the pain she was feeling. She wiped it with the back of his palm.

"If you want to be an Agent. Be brave. Just because of what I said, you're going to cry? If so. You don't deserve to be an Agent." Leo said 

He seemed to notice Rhianna's tears.  Anyway, he's an Agent. He feels strongly about things. She didn't want to argue. She just kept quiet to one side. She looked out the car window and look the sights they passed. They were on their way to Head Quarters if she wasn't mistaken.

They were still following Harold and Alexandra's car. Their trip also took a few minutes until she could see the location of the Head Quarters. Leo put the car inside. When that stopped, she immediately got out of the car.

They followed Harold and Alexandra into the Head Quarters together with the two guys. She turned behind her, Brandon was following them. When they got inside the Head Quarters, Alexandra and Harold went to a room next to the room where Alexandra treated her. Leo and Brandon also go there. She was left alone. She leaned over the sofa next to the room where Leo and his comrades had a meeting last night.

 Suddenly, the room open where Leo was. Brandon go out there and their eyes met. She smiled at him and he smiled back as well. He approached Rhianna and sat down next to her.

"Why did you come out?" she asked him.

"I know you're the only one here. So I went out to join you." he said.

 "Thank you." she replied.

 "You're good a while ago. How did you do that?" he asked her and looked at Rhianna with a smile on his lips.

 "Ah. That. I learned that from my father. He taught me self-defense when I was only ten years old. Ten until eighteen years old, so that I could learn and be good." she said. Her father has been dead for five years.  With that in mind, she missed him suddenly. The difficulty of losing a father.

"Excellent! You impressed me." he said gleefully.

She smiled. Brandon appreciates what she did in the Cafeteria, while Leo is not. He didn't even say thank you for saving him.

"It's good that you're on the spot, Agent Leo."

Rhianna turned to face who spoke. She saw Alexandra, Harold, and Leo coming out of the room. Leo looked at them. His forehead furrowed when he saw Rhianna with Brandon. But, it suddenly disappeared when Brandon suddenly stood up and went to Leo and tap him on his shoulders.

"You're great Leo!" Brandon said to Leo.

"Hi Rhianna." it was Alexandra's voice beside her. She was unaware of her approach.

"Hello, Alexandra. How did you find out my name?" she asked her.

"I asked Harold." she said with twinkling eyes. She likes Harold, I am a woman so I know.

"Come on ladies. We have to leave. The training will be tomorrow. Agent Jerald texted me." Brandon said who was outside of Head Quarters with Leo and Harold.

Alexandra and Rhianna got up. She remembers the two men. Does that mean they are inside and will stay here?

"Wait!" she stopped them. They turned to her with a startled look.

"How are the two men? Will you leave them here?"

"Yes, don't worry Rhianna. They're fine. We've already given them some food in the small cell inside the room. We're going to surrender them to the police tomorrow." Alexandra said and pulled her hand out of Head Quarters.  Alexandra also closed the door.

She saw that Leo was near the car.  When he saw her approaching, he went inside. She also went in when she got there and Leo drove the car out of Head Quarters.  Brandon, Alexandra, and Harold's car also came out.

They were already on their way back home. Looks like she needs to train herself to always be riding in his car.  He was silent throughout our trip.  What time is it? She decided to ask Leo because he was wearing a watch.

"Leo, what time is it?" she asked him.  He looked at the watch he was wearing and then looked back at the road.

"Three o'clock." he answered sparingly.

"Brandon is fine, fun to talk to." she whispered.

"So you prefer to be with Brandon?"  he suddenly asked her. Her eyes widened. She never thought he would hear what she said.

"It's not like that. You're too stingy to talk. We can't even talk for long." she defended. He stopped the car on the side of the road. He looked at her.

 "First of all, We're together to help you save your mother and sister, right? Why do we have to talk for so long? Is that necessary?" he said and resumed driving.

"Of course. I'm sorry."  she answered.

She felt embarrassed.  Why didn't she think of that? She smiled mischievously.  Why does she expect him to notice? Why does she expect him to treat her well, because first of all.  Help was the only reason why she was connected with him. That’s all she has to think about right now.

They reached the house. She immediately got out of the car and walked toward the door. She turned the doorknob. Sh*t! It was closed.  She feels annoyed. She even forgot to close the door.

"I'm not leaving the house open." he said when he approached her with the things he bought.

He took the key out of his pocket and inserted it into the doorknob, then he opened the door. He came in first and she followed. He gave me the things he bought. She took that.

"Thank you." even though she's disgusted, she should still thank him. Because if it's not, she wouldn’t be safe today. And she will look at that with great gratitude.

 She no longer waited for him to speak or respond to what she said. She turned around and marched into his room which is now her room. Put her purchases to one side. She lay down on the bed and closed her eyes.
