Chapter 10 Student Teacher v.s. Teacher Part 2

"Stop!" Another teacher shouted. With a thrust of the palm and lift of their cape concentrated waves went out. Sent their Mana out in the form of a shield to block William's strike. "You have won this match already!"

*Kong!* Both strikes with the sword were rebuffed only leaving a slight scratch before shattering the protection. William reared back focusing some more mana into the very tips and struck with his fist ignoring the other teacher who interfered protests.

They would be dealt with after if he was able.

*Kong!* His fist only left a dent on the concentrated waves of protection. Cuts spread along with his fist impact, but the shield's defense was by far a lot weaker than before in retaliation as it wavered.

"Did you not hear me!?" The teacher jumped into the arena, which was against the rules completely. Already having several "Black Bands" around his neck from getting involved in the match so far. "I said for you to stop!"

The referee did nothing the entire time standing to the side. Trapped between offending a Student-Teacher like William on the side of the Rules, or offending two Teachers of note instead.

"You are interfering in an official deathmatch, I suggest you move out of the way." William said loudly for any decent Faculty member to get involved. The man did not of course or anyone else for that matter. "Is the referee just going to stand there and not do his job?" A sharp look was all he could spare with two opponents in the ring.

"Well.." The referee had several eyes on him but didn't look to make a decision. Only trying to make himself look small in appearance.

"I said this match is over, so it is over!" The new teacher said. He then felt the killing intent coming from William. "You little monster!" A palm strike went out, forcing William to block with his Body and some energy.

The difference in Realms was to much to give only some of his energy to stop it.

It sent William tumbling to the other end of the arena. Despite the vicious wounds, he stood up on unsteady feet, staring at the man. A smile on his face as a plan had already come together with increasing Black Bands amounting on the other two.

A member of the School Board was close by. With a few other teachers having gathered seeing the Life & Death agreement going out beforehand to check it all out.

"Good to know someone like you can ignore the Kingdom laws and the Akademy is so disloyal!" William sneered as blood leaked out painting a sorry sight further. It was all just a distraction as his swords came down quickly from above. "As a citizen, it gives great honor to stand against rebels such as yourself!"

"You slanderer!" A few not understanding how bad this implication would mean for the family cried out. The shouts helped to distract Claude and the other teacher in the ring. "I will have you disciplined for this!"

'Stupid!' William had to fight his grin from appearing as he made his move. 'Good as time as any!'

*Schlick!* The first sword pierced the Body of Claude in the shoulder. Right as he was about to scream the second sword went straight into his mouth. Burying to the hilt and cutting his throat in the process.

The entire area became quiet as the watchers stared on in abject horror. William could see a few in the crowd moving out of the way. A few spies he started keeping track of from words said in his class before about certain factions.

"Claude!" The teacher shouted in alarm at the audacity of William. The briefest of pause caused the end of the other. Humiliation was the least of his worries right now from being ignored.

"Such a shame, really, but at least I cleaned some of the filth out of the Akademy before it poisoned the waterhole so to speak." William clasped his hands together, triggering the final part of the technique. "Detonate!"

*Boom Boom!* Both of the wooden swords blew up. With the Teacher tending to Claude's wounds, it left him slightly vulnerable. Vulnerable enough that the connection allowed damage to the Teacher's Mana Circulation.

"GO!" William didn't stop just yet.

The seven remaining swords were powered by the rest of his Mental energy to strike. They spun into a close-formed drill. Penetration power increases due to the spin and would make it harder to be deflected by any outside strikers.

"You tried to kill me! I won't be satisfied unless I take a chunk of your flesh "rebel" filth!"

"Argh!" Unlike Claude, this Teacher had a really strong body. The drill was only able to get in by an inch before he grabbed them from behind. A thick mana coat wrapped around him as he tightened his hands, slowing the swords down to a crawl with force. "A weak attack for a dead man!"

The difference in strength was quite apparent to all who watched. But wit and determination still worked in William's favor.

"Heh! Detonate!" William activated the technique again. The explosion wouldn't kill his opponent but at least hurt them enough he would be maimed. 'Odds are this guy has someone he pissed off, and they would be willing to make trouble for him while injured. A slight chance is better than letting him come at me in the intermediate time completely fine!'

*BOOOOMMMM!* The explosion stronger than last only blew off the Teacher's hand and damaged up to the elbow. It counted as a chunk of flesh, so a win to William according to the watching crowd. With violent damage to future Mana application hopefully.

'If I use unorthodox methods and a bit of surprise, I have a chance to kill people in a higher realm than me.' Looking at the injured Teacher, he thought about the future of dealing with people who were paying attention or had artifacts to protect them. 'I need to study how to make some Glyph Shields soon.'

The air seemed to become charged with violent energy. William was not backing down and the humiliated teacher was not going to.

"STAND DOWN!" A voice echoed in the surroundings. The Disciplinary Coordinator walked out accompanied by a few other teachers. "THAT MEANS BOTH OF YOU!"

"Humph!" William stood up straight, no longer playing completely weakened. He was out of Mental, and Soul energy, but his Body still was good to go. Enough to bolt in a few directions and cause problems and hopefully not die in the process. "I wonder what cover-up will take place this time?"

His words did not go unnoticed of course.

As the Referee explained the situation, a Healer checked over the injured Teacher and the very dead Claude. William only received a once-over, but no overall treatment since his Body was fine.

That and he made sure to keep on guard from anything.

"Teacher Calvin, explain yourself." The Disciplinary Coordinator kept himself in check. His tone was leveled despite the fact the Teacher was in the wrong from everything gathered so far. "Interrupting an official Death Match and trying to kill a student-teacher at that, what do you have to say for yourself?"

"He provoked my nephew." Calvin was occupied keeping his wound from getting worse. Eyes radiating malice at the thought of crushing the student-teacher for this. "Even disobey my order to desist!"

The crowd frowned for those who could risk his ire. Teacher Calvin had no real authority over a Death Match.

"You are still out of line." A Vice Coordinator stated for show, no real care to keep the law in effect. The man's facial features didn't look to concern with the entire matter.

"The Akademy does not need weak teachers like this, especially if they are losing to student teachers." A Man with a military disposition spoke candidly. He was already upset the 12 seats were unfilled when he arrived for inspection. "Sort this matter out and come find me soon."

"Of course Adjudicator Hareem." The Disciplinary Coordinator's voice was respectful, if not forced. "I will find you in the Medical Department correct?" A simple nod was all he received as an answer.

His blue tunic was the only odd thing besides his burnt-up face William found odd. The blue tunic with the silver rim noted Nobility but through military achievements. Not to many people like that around the Akademy on a daily basis.

Or at all for that matter.

"Guess that is the end of that." A student said from the stands. Very audible, considering none were really talking and waiting on bated breaths for what would occur next. "Calvin isn't really getting punished it seems."

"Well, he is the Disciplinary Coordinator's butt buddy." Another student murmured, walking off with his cohort smiling. "They can do whatever they want, despite being "rebels" of the Kingdom."

"Rebels?" Adjudicator Hareem was far away, but he still heard what was said as he moved. 'I will have my sister look into this matter further, if these children are just spouting nonsense, I will have to find who is responsible for this.'

By the looks of what the students voiced, the situation was going that way.

"Such Discipline, my eyes still remain open at the way the Akademy works." William shrugged in distaste. He looked at the students and teachers gathered, speaking clearly to remove doubt of his words. "Most of you were there and saw what happened. Did I not conduct myself as I should?"

The students murmured yes. A few to scared to say anything only nodded. One Teacher nodded despite the trouble it would cause for the Akademy.

"Did I not say he could pay for the match instead of fighting?" William looked the cowards in the eye, making note of them each. "I came out, fought despite being at a disadvantage from training and teaching my students. And after I was about to end it, the "Rebellious' Calvin interrupted, injuring me. The Referee did not do anything as well despite the obvious transgressions."

"What?!" A more notable teacher with the group gave the Referee a look of disgust. "You left that part out, it seemed when explaining."

The Disciplinary Coordinator frowned at that. The Referees overlapped under his purview and another department. But as he took charge of the situation, everything would fall on him to straighten out.

"Oh, it gets better." William smiled. "I continued to claim my win, and the rebellious Clavin attacked me. Exhausting a lot of my energy. But I claimed my victory in the end." He purposely said the man's name wrong to cause issue.

As the situation once more at the Life or Death arena, Adjudicator Hareem moved to the Medical Department.

Meeting of Siblings-

.

Adjudicator Hareem did not mind his sister was hard at work while waiting. It was a trait he admired in her greatly on all accounts. Much better than the siblings who half-assed or did nothing at all.

"Hmm..." The Military man stopped at a small nick on the floor. If not for waiting, it would defintely be overlooked normally. "..what is this now?" With a lift of the floors and pull of strength that would scare a weaker person, an old escape shaft was uncovered.

A few steps could be heard coming towards the area. A few Health Students came to inform Adjudicant of the wait time changing. They were quite alarmed the floor was ripped apart, however.

"Seal of this room and make sure none come to it until I am done." Hareem ordered with a command that could not be ignored. His eyes lit up as Mental energy ensnared the two students to make sure they obeyed even further. 'This Akademy still has secrets but hopefully, this is a simple one.'

Sure of himself, the Adjudicator hoped inside to go and search the deep tunnels. A clear mana wrapped around the opening he just made turning it back normal.

"Humph, how rude!" One of the Health students grumbled. "Could have a least waited until after we gave him the news. "That bonehead didn't even recognize us either!"

As she fretted, the other just put a Glyph done to make an illusion of the Adjudicator Hareem. Best way to sell that he was there and didn't want to be disturbed.
