Surprised?

After the referee signal to continue the fight, Leo hurriedly launches all attacks that he knows within 10 seconds.

I evade and deflect some attacks using the unsharpened part of my mana-coated sword.

I find it rather easy to infuse my mana on the sword. But it's hard to keep up with him.

You can't blame me, he's a knight and ever since I work in the corporate world, I never tried to use my sword again.

This guy is really pissed, even all the audience who bet on me was pissed. Actually, everyone is pissed.

Well, whatever, as I really don't care what they think. The important is I must win this duel no matter what.

All the audience started to boo and shout that the duel is boring since all I did was evade.

As the booing continues, my lips crept up in a smirk. It's time to counter-attack.

I somehow grasp his attack pattern and the damage it could inflict if I failed to evade or block his attack. I still need to be wary since everyone knows that a sword practitioner has his/her own special attack.

When I successfully block the attack that Leo launches on me. I jump backward and form a stance I usually do in my previous life when I take things seriously.

The all-out attacking of Leo stopped to a halt once he saw my stance as his eyes become alert.

I started to run toward his location and lunge my sword on his armored chest which was easily blocked by his sword and perform a follow-up attack.

Since he is vice-captain of the knight order, his reflexes, and the speed of his attack are no joke. Once he blocked my attack which cause my hand to lose its grip on my sword and was about to fall but I quickly catch the hilt on my sword and gripped tightly on it.

Then he quickly raised his both arms and try to swing his sword down to my shoulder.

Unfortunately for him, this is what I have been waiting for.

Once his arms are raised, I quickly infused mana on the hilt of my sword and use it to hit the hilt of his weapon which made his hand lose the grip on his sword momentarily.

His eyes we're shocked but quickly become firm and alert like feeling something that I will attack him since his chest is wide open.

I raise my hand and try to scratch his chest up to his neck but was easily blocked by his right arm. He was not afraid of getting a severe injury since I'm using the unsharpened part of the sword. More or less, he will only get a light scratch on his arm.

This is my chance! Currently, the way I handle my sword is like handling a staff.

I smile and lose my grip and flip my sword. Once I did, his arm blocking the unsharpened part of the sword switched to the sharpened part and raise it upward.

He was utterly shocked and jump backward. As if I will let that happen.

Once he jumped, I fix the way I handle my sword and directly lunge it toward his chest, he was still mid-air so it will be hard for him to block.

This time, it was I who become surprised when he kicked my sword. How did he do that?

He is good even though his power is limited due to this duel; he is called vice-captain for nothing.

I lose the grip and my sword is sent flying upward and he uses it as a chance to attack me.

My mind becomes alert.

In just 1 second his attack will surely hit me. Though it's not infused with mana, but it will still give me an injury that can lead to my defeat and losing the opportunity to become Elena's knight.

Damn!

My mind started to think faster.

Since my power is creations, it only means one thing. I can create a basic element without much trouble.

Fire sword? Not a good choice, anything can pass through it. How about a sword made of Ice? It's not possible at the moment since I can only create a basic element which is fire, water, earth, and air.

I can use water and surround it thoroughly with air to have the molecules of water move slower and help to reach the temperature of 0 degrees and make it solid which would become ice.

But before I can do that, his attack already hit me.

How about air? Yes, air! I can use air to reduce the momentum of his attack or blow him away. But once I do that, he will be more alert, and it could become a hassle on my part.

Then an idea suddenly crossed my mind. I will surely receive an injury, but it can guarantee my win.

Hmm, my sword is still in mid-air.

It's now or never.

I quickly infused mana on my left hand to harden my skin and tank his attack.

Soon, his sword reached my palm, and use it as an opportunity to grip it hard.

Shit! Even infused with mana it still hurts.

I quickly infused a high amount of mana again and fire suddenly enveloped my left hand that gripped his sword.

But it made me dizzy to the point I want to sleep. Damn. Did I use a lot of mana? I need to calm myself and not show my dizziness to avoid unnecessary trouble.

Leo becomes more shocked.

Even in a shocking state, Leo tried to take his sword away from my grip but hell like I will let that happen.

After seeing that his sword heating up. I quickly infused a high amount of mana again and this time, water started to rush into my left hand.

My dizziness is really getting bad.

Then suddenly I feel it, gritting my teeth, I tightly grip his sword and a cracking sound was heard.

It's just your basic science, you can destroy a solid matter if you thoroughly heat it for a period of time and thoroughly cool it with water.

The result is the solid can become a fragile glass and can be shattered using the right amount of force. It should take a lot of time depending on the heat and cooling it.

But the mana I infused is no joke that makes the process faster. Right now, my knees are trembling, and my vision started to blur.

Leo was dumbfounded and utterly shocked. His sword was shattered to pieces, and I heard a lot of commotion in the audience.

I use that opportunity to catch my sword that is still falling mid-air just above my head using my right hand.

After a short period of time, my sword is now pointing to Leo's neck.

A deadly silence enveloped the whole colosseum.

While my vision is getting blurry, I still look firmly into his eyes and let him know who wins on this duel.

After a few seconds, the silence is still lingering. I get irritated because the dizziness I felt become unbearable. If left unchecked I will fall to the ground any moment now.

I irritably shifted my gaze to the referee.

Seeing my gaze, he left a couple of coughs but the shock is still in his eyes.

"The winner of this duel is Jin Hale." The referee says like a professional he is.

Then a sudden shout reverberated on the whole colosseum.

I look on the noble VIP seat and look for Elena. I noticed that she was still stunned but after seeing my gaze is locked on her.

She smiles sweetly and congratulates me.
